MCPD Arrest Report 01/27/2016
The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 01/26/2016.
Anthony C Gant, 35 years of age, Address: Rayne, La. was arrested on 01/26/2016 @ 1:30pm.
Charge: Warrant - Failure to Appear for Traffic Citation
Anthony C Gant was arrested in the 6th Ward Morgan City Court in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Court. Gant was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Samantha Williams, 27 years of age, Address: Elaine St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/26/2016 @ 3:30pm.
Charge: Warrant - Simple Battery
Warrant - Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
Samantha Williams was arrested in the 6th Ward Morgan City Court in regard to active arrest warrants held by the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office. Wiliams was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Kurwin A Webb, 22 years of age, Address: Grace St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/26/2016 @ 4:06pm.
Charges: Possession of Synthetic Marijuana (2nd Offense)
Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law
Officers responded to an address on Glenwood Street in regard to a subject sleeping in a parked vehicle. A description of the vehicle was provided when it was located and officers identified Kurwin A Webb to be asleep inside. During the investigation officers observed suspected synthetic marijuana inside the vehice. The location of the incident was within the area of a local elementary school in violation of unifored controlled dangerous substance laws. Webb was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Travis Singleton, 32 years of age, Address: Leona St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/26/2016 @ 4:15pm.
Charge: Warrant - Probation Violation
Travis Singleton was arrested in the 6th Ward Morgan City Court in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Court. Singleton was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
David S Blair, 39 years of age, Address: Greenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/26/2016 @ 4:47pm.
Charge: Warrant - Violation of a Protective Order
David S Blair was located at a residence on Greenwood Street by officers at which time he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. Blair was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
James D Robinson, 47 years of age, Address: Arenz St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/26/2016 @ 8:37pm.
Charges: Appearing in Public in a Intoxicated Condition
Warrant - Failure to Appear for Child Support
An officer responded to the area of Sixth St. near and Brashear Ave. in regard to a complaint of an intoxicated subject. Officers located James D Robinson who matched the description of the complaint in the area. While speaking with Robinson it was believed that Robinson had been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. A warrants check revealed that the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office held an active arrest warrant for Robinson. Robinson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
