Melissa A Cheramie, 48 years of age, Address: Sixth St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 02/05/2016 @ 9:36 am.

Melissa A Cheramie was transported from the Berwick Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to active arrest warrants held by Morgan City Police. Cheramie was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail and incarcerated.
Vincent Thomas, 23 years of age, Address: Mount St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/05/2016 @ 4:00pm.

Vincent Thomas was transported from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Jail to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to several active arrest warrants held by Morgan City Police. Thomas was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail and incarcerated.
Quentin J Dugar, 25 years of age, Address: Neptune St. Bayou Vista, La. was arrested on 02/05/2016 @ 7:39am.

Obstruction of Justice
Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was observed failing to use a turn signal near at the intersection of Veterans Blvd. and Wren Street. The driver, later identified as Quentin J Dugar got out of the vehicle and began running from detectives. A foot chase ensued when detectives observed Dugar remove an item from one of his pockets throwing it to the ground. Dugar was captured moments later and arrested. Reports indicated that detectives were able to recover the item Dugar had removed from his pocket which was identified as suspected marijuana. A drivers license check revealed that Dugar also had a suspended drivers license. The location of the incendent was within a designated drug free zone. Dugar was transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Danny P Lauland, 34 years of age, Address: Napoleonville, La. was arrested on 02/06/2016 @ 1:09am.
Charges: Improper Brake Lights
Driving Under Suspension
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle in the area of Hwy 182 near David Dr. with improper brake lights. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Danny P Lauland. A drivers license check revealed that Lauland had a suspended drivers license. Lauland was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Thomas Stansbury, 27 years of age, Address: Parlange Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/06/2016 @ 1:34am.
Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Resisting An Officer
Officers responded to a local medical facility on Hwy 70 in regard to a intoxicated subject causing a disturbance. A description was provided to responding officers when they located Thomas Stansbury in the parking lot. Upon contact with Stansbury, reports indicate that Stansbury was believed to have been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Stansbury was placed under arrest when he began to resist officer. After a short struggle officer were able to place Stansbury into handcuffs at which time he was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Thompson R Cox Jr., 65 years of age, Address: Baton Rouge, La. was arrested on 02/06/2016 @ 2:12am.
Charge: Appearing in Public in a Intoxicated Condition
Officers responded to the area of Railroad Ave. @ First Street in regard to an intoxicated subject casuing a disturbance on a passenger train traveling through Morgan City. The officers spoke with the train conductor who told officers that there was an intoxicated passenger on board that was causing a disturbance and disrupting the other passenger. The conductor told the intoxicated passenger to calm down but refused to do so. The officer then made contact with passenger Thompson R Cox Jr. who was believed to be drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Cox Jr. was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Antoinette O Davis, 37 years of age, Address: Roderick St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/06/2016 @ 9:40am.
Charges: Warrant - Theft (value over $750.00)

Antoinette O Davis was located on Onstead St. near Federal Ave. where she was arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Davis was transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Martaisha L Brown, 31 years of age, Address: Levee Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/06/2016 @ 4:16pm.
Charges: Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling
Warrant - Simple Battery
Officers responded to an address on Grizzaffi St. in regard to a disturbance. The officer arrived and spoke to the complainant and witnesses who told the officer that Martaisha L Brown had gone into the residence without arthorization. Brown left the residence shortly after in a vehicle which the description was provided to officers. Brown was located by officers moments later at a residence on Lizabeth Dr. A warrants check revealed that the Morgan City Police Department held an active arrest warrant on Brown. Brown was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.
Bradley S Williams, 26 years of age, Address: New Iberia, La. was arrested on 02/06/2016 @ 4:47pm.
Charges: Probation Violation
Bradley S Williams who was already incarceratd in the Morgan City Jail was booked in on an active arrest warrant obtained by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court for probation violation. Williams was booked on the warrant and remains incarerated.
Gabrieo C Boulanger, 26 years of age, Address: Sixth St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 02/06/2016 @ 9:38pm.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle crossing the fog line on Hwy 90 several times. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Gabrieo C Boulanger. A drivers license check revealed that Boulanger had a suspended drivers license and that the vehicle did not have proof of insurance. Boulanger was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Alyssa Ashmore, 26 years of age, Address: Third St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/06/2016 @ 10:39pm.
Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Officers responed to a local buisiness in regard to an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. The officers arrived and was told by managment and witnesses that Alyssa Ashmore was inside the business causing a distrubance, being irate and struck one of the patrons. The officers made contact with Ashmore and it was believed that Ashmore had been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Ashmore was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. While booking suspected diazepam was located on her person. Ashmore was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Calvillo S Garcia, 22 years of age, Address: Louisa St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/07/2016 @ 2:39am.

Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
An officer responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Levee Rd. @ Sixth Street. During the investigation the driver of one of the vehicle involved was identified as Calvillo S Garcia who according to reports did not have a valid drivers license. Garcia was believed to have been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Garcia was placed under arrest and tranported to the Morgan City Police Department for further testing. Garcia submitted to the intoxilyzer 5000 test yielding a blood alcohol concentration of .168 grams percent. Garcia was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Jovon E Johnson, 22 years of age, Address: Lafayette, La. was arrested on 02/07/2016 @ 5:25pm.

Jovon E Johnson was located on Railroad Ave. near Fourth Street where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 16th Judicial Dist. Court. Johnson was trasnported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail for booking where Johnson attempted to place suspected marijuana inside his mouth. The suspected marijuana was retreived by officers and Johnson was booked in the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Bennie A Charles, 31 years of age, Address: North Third St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/07/2016 7:44pm.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on Veterans Blvd. and that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Bennie A Charles. A warrants and drivers license check was conducted which revealed that Charles had a suspended drivers license and that the 6th Ward Morgan CIty Court held an active arrest warrant for Charles. Charles was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Polic Department Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Darren W Watson, 51 years of age, Address: Lloyd Lane Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/07/2016 @ 9:58pm.
Charge: Warrant - Failure to Appear for Speeding
Darren W Watson was located on Amber Street where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Watson was transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
