MCPD Arrest Report 03/21/2016
The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 03/18/2016:
Orlando Flores, 36 years of age, Address-Duke St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/18/2016 @ 7:00 pm.
Charge: Warrant- Probation Violation
Orlando Flores turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Flores was booked and incarcerated.
Tyrone F. Thomas, 51 years of age, Address-Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/19/2016 @ 2:16 am.
Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
Officers were dispatched to a local convenient store on Hwy 182 in regards to an individual that had been previously banned. Information was received that the individual had gotten to a vehicle and was leaving the area. A description was given out and officers located the vehicle in the area of Hwy 182 near Ditch Ave. The driver identified as Tyrone Thomas was asked to exit the vehicle. According to reports, Thomas showed signs of impairment. Thomas given the Standard Field Soberity Test, which he performed poorly. Thomas was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Thomas was ask to submit to chemical test for intoxication. Thomas results were a .194g % blood alcohol content.
Leonard A. Yarborough, 54 years of age, Address- Fourth St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 03/19/2016 @ 6:00 pm.
Charge: Simple Assault
Simple Battery
Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Officers were dispatched to the area of Hwy 182 and Ditch Ave. in regards to someone having a battery committed on them. When officers arrived, the victim stated that Leonard Yarborough had committed a battery on him and made several threats towards him. Officers were able to locate Yarborough at a local business on Ditch Ave. According to reports, Yarborough appeared intoxicated. When officers asked about the incident, he became loud and began using profanities. Yarborough was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Johnathon Priestley, 22 years of age, Address- Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/20/2016 @ 1:41 am.
Charge: Warrant- Failure to Appear to Pay Probation Fees
Warrant- Probation Violation
Johnathon Priestley was located on Gen. MacArthur St. A local warrant check was done and it was determined that Priestley held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Priestley was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Eduard Cabrera, 34 years of age, Address- Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/21/2016 @ 2:15 am.
Charge: Warrant- Failure to Pay Fine ( No Insurance)
Warrant- Failure to Pay Fine (Careless Operation)
Eduard Cabrera turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Cabrera was booked and incarcerated.
