Jamarius Palmer, 25 years of age, Address: Marisol Dr. Houston, Tx. was arrested on 08/23/2016 @ 9:05am.
Charges: Warrant - Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Warrant - Possession of a CDS While in the Presence of Juveniles
Jamarius Palmer was transported from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Jail to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police Departement. The warrants were obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police Investigators of an August 16, 2016 incident where Palmer, a convicted felon was alleged to possess a firearm and a controlled dangerous substance while in the presence of a juvenile. Palmer was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Johnny Deberry, 60 years of age, Address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/23/2016 @ 11:45am.
Charges: Warrant - Failure to Appear on 11/10/15 for Appearing in Public Intoxicated

Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information
Johnny Deberry was located by officers on Fourth Street near Greenwood Street where he was arrested on several active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Deberry was reported to have given the officers a false name due to the active arrest warrants but his true identity was discovered. Deberry was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Bryan Bradford, 28 years of age, Address: Florida St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/23/2016 @ 10:48pm.
Charge: Theft of Goods
An officer responded to a local grocery store on Hwy 70 in regard to a reproted theft. The officer arrived and spoke with the store managment who told the officer that Bryan Bradford, an employee of the store was confronted about stealing items from within the store. Reports indicate that evidence of the alleged theft was uncovered which included numerous items being recovered and returned to the store valued at $220.39. Bradford was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Dillion P Burgess, 22 years of age, Address: FIrst St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 08/24/2016 @ 4:17am.
Charges: Possession of Marijuana (Schedule I CDS)
Possession of Alprazolam (Schedule IV CDS)
Violation of Unifomred Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws
Warrant - Lafayette Sheriff's Office
An officer responded to a local convenience store on Hwy 182 in regard to a suspicios subject who appeared to be intoxicated at the location. The officer arrived and located Dillion P Burgess in a parked vehicle who matched the description provided. The officer spoke with Burgess who according to reports appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. During the investigtion, Burgess's behavior further aroused the officer's suspicions that he may be involved in illegal narcotics activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when suspected alprazolam and marijuana was located. A warrants check also revelaed that Burgess had an active arrest warrant through the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office. The located of the incident was within the area of a local pre school in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Burgess was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
