Marjorie R Ruffin, 27 years of age, Address: Oneal Chub St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 02/02/2017 @ 10:53am.
Charges: Warrant - Failure to Appear on10/18/2016 for Possession of Marijuana
Warrant - Failure to Appear on 05/10/2016 for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
Warrant - Contempt of Court
Warrant - Probation Violation
Marjorie R Ruffin was transported from Tallulah, La. to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to several active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Ruffin was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Naomi Courvile, 39 years of age, Address: Bush St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/02/2017 @ 11:53am.
Charge: Driving Under Suspension
An officer responded to the area of Federal Avenue and Willow Street in regard to a minor vehicle crash. During a traffic investigation, Naomi Courville was identified as the driver of one of the vehicles involved. Reports indicated that a drivers license check revealed that Courville had a suspended drivers license. Courville was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Kevin P Thompson, 62 years of age, Address: Front St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/02/2017 @ 2:36pm.
Charges: Speeding 29 mph in a 15mph School Zone
Driving Under Suspension
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on Marguerite Street near Eighth Street at a rate of speed which appeared to be higher than posted speed limit. Reports indicate that the officer clocked the vehicle at 29 mph in a 15 mph school zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Kevin P Thompson. A drivers license check revealed that Thompson had a suspended drivers license. Thompson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Brandon J LaHoste, 31 years of age, Address: Sycamore St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/02/2017 @ 4:50pm.
Charge: Warrant - Hit and Run (2 counts)
Warrant - Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Brandon J LaHoste turned himself in at the Morgan City Police Department in regard to active arrest warrants held by Morgan City Police. The warrants were obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an incident reported earlier that day where LaHoste was identified as the driver involved in a hit and run. The alleged incident took place in the area of Sycamore Street and Fig Street where witnesses identified a vehicle driven by LaHoste strike and mail box and a street sign at which time LaHoste left the scene. LaHoste was booked in the Morgan City Jail where he was incarcerated.
Jeremie A Hanks, 39 years of age, Address: Brownell St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/02/2017 @ 7:21pm.
Charges: Domestic Abuse Child Endangerment
Introduction of Contraband Into a Penal Institute
Possession of Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance (Suboxone)
Officers responded to a residence on Brownell Street in regard to a domestic disturbance. The officers arrived and spoke with a female who appeared to be upset and had physical signs that she may have been the victim of a battery. The officers were told by the female that she and Jeremie A Hanks were involved in an argument when Hanks committed a battery on the female and fled the area. During an investigation, reports indicate that the officers uncovered evidence of the alleged battery and that incident had taken place while in the presents of a small child one year of age. A description was provided and Hanks was located by officers in the area moments later. Hanks was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where a more thorough search was conducted when officers located suspected suboxone on Hanks. Hanks was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Christopher J Jenkins, 35 years of age, Address: Seventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/03/2017 @ 2:25am.
Charge: Warrant - Failure to Appear on 08/02/2016 for Resisting an Officer
Christopher J Jenkins was located by officers in the area of Mallard Street where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Jenkins was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
