The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 02/27/2017.
Blake Dinger, 24 years of age, Address: Neptune St. Bayou Vista, La. was arrested on 02/27/2017 @ 9:11pm.
Charge: Warrant - Probation Violation
Blake Dinger was transported from the Berwick Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Dinger was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Derick A Labry, 38 years of age, Address: Esher Place Marerro, La. was arrested on 02/27/2017 @ 9:30pm.
Charges: Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Driving While Intoxicated (2nd Offense)
Driving Under Suspension
Possession of Schedule II CDS (Hydrocodone)
Possession of Schedule II CDS (Oxycodone)
Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws (Drug Free Zone)
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and in a careless manner on Federal Avenue near Brashear Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Derick A Labry. A drivers license check was conducted which revealed that Labry had a suspended drivers license. Reports indicated that officers also suspected Labry to have been drinking and believed he was intoxicated. Labry was placed under arrested and a search conducted when the officer located suspected hydrocodone and oxycodone on Labry. The location of the incident was within the area of a drug free zone in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Labry was transported to the Morgan City Police Departmentl where he refused the Intoxilyzer 5000 according to reports. Labry was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Carl Allen, 25 years of age, Address: Park St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/27/2017 @ 9:57pm.

Illegal Use of a Controlled Dangerous Substance While in the Presence of Persons Under 18 year of age.
Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws
Morgan City Police Narcotics Detectives observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Federal Avenue near Marshall Street with improper headlights. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Carl Allen. During a traffic stop, reports indicate it was learned that Allen had a suspended drivers license and that there was an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. T Investigators also observed two small juvenile children inside the vehicle. Reports indicate that Allen's behavior aroused the investigators suspicions that he may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when investigators located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia according to reports. Allen was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Cameron Blanchard Jr. 20 years of age, Address: Angus St. Pierre Part, La. was arrested on 02/27/2017 @11:43pm.
Charges: Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Driving While Intoxicated
Officers responded to the area of Railroad Avenue at Aycock Street in regard to a vehicle parked on the railroad tracks. The officer arrived and located the vehicle still parked on the railroad tracks but unoccupied. Reports indicated that officers were approached moments later by Cameron Blanchard who was identified as the driver of the vehicle. During a traffic investigation, reports indicate that Blanchard was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. Blanchard was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing where Blanchard submitted to the Intoxilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol concentration of .226 grams percent. Blanchard was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail where he was incarcerated.
Elton J Landry, 55 years of age, Address: Federal Avenue Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/28/2017 @ 9:20am.
Charge: Warrant - Probation Violation
Elton J Landry was located by officers at a residence on Federal Avenue where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Landry was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
