MCPD Arrest Report 03/03/2017
The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 03/02/2017.
Joseph A Acosta, 24 years of age, Address: Pecos St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/02/2017 @ 1:50pm.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace
Officers responded to a state government building on Victor II Blvd. in regard to a subject causing a disturbance. The officers arrived when they observed Joseph A Acosta shouting at a subject in the parking lot and was detained for further investigation. Officers spoke with several witnesses inside the government office who told officers that Acosta had entered the building shouting using profane language. Acosta was told by employees to leave and continued shouting profane statements towards the employees according to reports. Acosta was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Nathan D Chiasson, 27 years of age, Address: Duke St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/02/2017 @ 5:40pm.
Charge: Warrant - Failure to Appear for Arraignment
Nathan D Chiasson was arrested in the Morgan City Court in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Chiasson was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Harold Turner, 67 years of age, Address: Louisiana St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/02/2017 @ 10:pm.
Charge: Warrant - Probation Violation
Harold Turner was located by officers on Railroad Avenue where he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Turner was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Peter J Parrish, 66 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/03/2017 @ 12:51am.

Peter J Parrish was located by officers on Florence Street near Hwy 182 where he was arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Parrish was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Brian K Collins Jr. 37 years of age, Address: Morgan St. Houma, La. was arrested on 03/02/2017 @ 11:18am.

Kenneth Hughes, 54 years of age, Address: North Cherry St. McComb Ms. was arrested on 03/02/2017 @ 6:32pm.

Russel Midget, 30 years of age, Address: Hwy 500 Georgetown, La. was arrested on 03/02/2017 @ 7:14pm.

Jay Rhodes, 22 years of age, Address: Columbus St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/02/2017 @ 2:49pm.

Ronald Hill, 51 years of age, Address: Hillyer Robinson Parkway, Oxford, Al. was arrested on 03/02/2017 @ 7:53pm.

Brian K Collins Sr., Kenneth Hughes, Russel Midget, Jay Rhodes and Ronald Hill were arrested at a local motel in Morgan City on charges of soliciting for prostitutes. Morgan City Police Detectives conducting an ongoing investigation of on line soliciting and human trafficking identified Collins Jr., Hughes, Midget, Rhodes and Hill during an undercover operation. Collins Jr., Hughes, Midget, Rhodes and Hill made contact with an undercover officer and later met with the undercover officer at the local motel for alleged prostitution activity according to reports. Collins Jr., Hughes, Midget, Rhodes and Hill were transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
