MCPD Arrest Report 03/07/2017
The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 03/06/2017.
Statey T Catchings, 50 years of age, Address: South Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/06/2017 @ 8:48am.
Charges: Warrant - Failure to Appear for Speeding
Warrant - Failure to Appear for Following to Close
Statey T Catchings was located by officers at an address on Hwy 182 near David Drive where she was arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial District Court. Catchings was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Anyia A Francois, 29 years of age, Address: Levee Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/06/2017 @ 4:00pm.
Charge: Criminal Mischief
Officers responded to an address on Brashear Avenue in regard to a call of a hit and run. The officers arrived and spoke with the complainant identified as Anyia A Francois. Francois reported to officers of a hit and run and provided officers with a license plate of the suspect vehicle. During an investigation of the incident, reports indicate that the information provided to the officers by the complainant was false and that the complainant was quarreling with the owner of the vehicle which was provide and no hit and hit and run had occurred. Francois was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Kedesha N Scott, 22 years of age, Address: Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/06/2017 @ 4:10pm.
Charge: Possession of Stolen Things
Officers responded to the area of Federal Avenue near Railroad Avenue in regard to a vehicle in the area that had previously been reported as stolen to police. The officers arrived and located the described vehicle traveling on Union Street. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Kedesha N Scott. Reports indicated that the vehicle was verified to be stolen at which time Scott was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Craig M Free, 31 years of age, Address: Third St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/06/2017 @ 5:40pm.
Charges: Warrant - Failure to Appear for Domestic Abuse Battery
Warrant - Contempt of Court
Craig M Free was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department in regard to active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Free was booked into the Morgan City Jail where he was incarcerated.
Joseph J Thibodeaux, 19 years of age, Address: West Ivert St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 03/06/2017 @ 11:35pm.
Charges: Warrant - Failure to Appear for Improper Brake Lights
Warrant - Failure to Appear for No Drivers License
Joseph J Thibodeaux was transported from the Franklin Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Thibodeaux was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
