MCPD Arrest Report 03/17/2017
The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 03/16/2017:
Tameka Douglas, 36 years of age, address: Wren St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 03/16/2017 @ 12:06 P.M.
Charges: Warrant: Failure to Appear for Trial on 08/18/2010 for Open Container
Tameka Douglas was located by officers on Wren St and arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial Court. Douglas was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Donavan J. Francisco, 35 years of age, address: Robertson St. New Iberia, La arrested on 03/16/2017 @ 12:07 P.M.
Charges: Aggravated Assault
Officers responded to an alleged assault complaint at a residence on Wren Street. During the investigation officers uncovered evidence that Donavan J. Francisco committed an assault on the victim with a knife during a verbal altercation. Francisco was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Purcell A. Gros, 43 years of age, address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 03/16/2017 @ 3:45 P.M.
Charges: Warrant:Possession of a Legend Drug (Meloxicam)
Purcell A. Gros was arrested at the 6th Ward Morgan City Court on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by officers on 01/14/2016 where Gros was found to be in possession of suspected Meloxicam which is a prescription drug that Gros did not have a valid prescription for according to reports. The suspected Meloxicam was seized pending chemical analysis. During further investigation an arrest warrant was prepared for Gros's arrest. Gros was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Kevin J. Thomas, 46 years of age, address: Morey St Patterson, La, arrested on 03/16/2017 @ 06:30 P.M.
Charges: Stopping, Standing, or Parking Prohibited
Driving under Suspension
Officers were dispatched to a down town location in the area of Everett Street in reference to a prohibited parking complaint. Officers arrived to the area and located a vehicle and a trailer blocking a drive way. The driver of the vehicle was located and identified as Kevin J. Thomas. According to reports during the investigation it was learned that Thomas Louisiana license was under suspension. Thomas was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Linda Durkins, 46 years of age, address: South East Blvd Morgan City, La, arrested on 03/16/2017 @ 9:45 P.M.
Charges: Warrant: Failure to Appear for Court on 11-29-2016
Linda Durkins was located at the Morgan City Police Department and arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial Court. Durkins was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrick Leblanc II, 27 years of age, address: First Street Morgan City, La, arrested on 03/16/2017 @ 10:13 P.M.
Charges: Theft by shoplifting (2 counts)
Officers responded to a local business in reference to a suspected shoplifter. Officers arrived to the area and spoke with management, who identified Patrick Leblanc II, as suspect who had went into the business and was observed removing merchandise from the packaging. When confronted by employees Leblanc fled the area. According to reports Leblanc was also observed taking items from the business on a prior date. A short time later Leblanc was later located by officers. According to reports during the investigation Leblanc admitted to the theft on the prior date. Leblanc was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
