MCPD Arrest Report 05/05/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 44 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result during the last reporting period beginning on 05/04/2017:

Dalania M. Rentrop, 23 years of age, address: Hwy 663 Morgan City, La, arrested on 05/04/2017 @ 9:25 a.m.

Charges: Simple Battery

Paige Mabe, 28 years of age, address: Fourth St. Berwick, La, arrested on 05/04/2017 @ 9:25 a.m. 

Charges: Simple Battery

According to reports Dalania M. Rentrop and Paige Mabe were being housed at the Morgan City Jail on unrelated charges when correctional officers observed Rentrop and Mabe commit a battery on each other during an altercation. Rentrop and Mabe were arrested where they were booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Brittany Lapeyrouse 05042017
Brittany T. Lapeyrouse, 25 years of age, address: Cleveland St. Houma, La, arrested on 05/04/2017 @ 8:57 p.m.

Charges: Theft by Shoplifting

Patrol officers responded to a local business on Seventh St. in regards to a theft. Officers arrived and according to reports Brittany T. Lapeyrouse was identified as concealing items on her person valued at $3.27. Lapeyrouse was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Rashaud Thomas 05052017
Rashaud A. Thomas, 22 years of age, address: Grace St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 05/04/2017 @ 10:29 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana W/I/T/D
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug Free Zone)
                  Improper Lighting

Patrol officers observed a vehicle traveling in the area of LA 182 with improper lighting. A stop was initiated and according to reports Rashaud A. Thomas was identified as the operator of the vehicle. The officer detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle produced suspected marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia that was consistent with the illicit sales of narcotics. The area where this incident had taken place is within a Drug Free Zone. Thomas was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

James Perry, 30 years of age, address: Lake Rd. La Marque, TX, arrested on 05/04/2017 @ 11:25 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Resisting an Officer
                  Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug Free Zone)

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a subject in the area of Greenwood St. acting in a suspicious manner. Investigators made contact with James Perry. According to reports Perry attempted to flee from investigators and was apprehended. Investigators located suspected marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia. The area where this incident had taken place was within a Drug Free Zone. Perry was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Randy Worthey 05052017
Randy L. Worthey, 41 years of age, address: Roberta Grove Houma, La, arrested on 05/05/2017 @ 3:44 a.m.

Charges: Possession of Methamphetamine
                  Possession of SCH IV CDS (Alprazolam)
                  Possession of a Firearm in the presence of CDS
                  Possession of a Firearm by a convicted Felon
                  Red Light Violation
                  Driving under Suspension
                  Hold for Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office
Dino Livingston 05052017
Dino D. Livingston, 33 years of age, address: Pelligrin St. Chauvin, La, arrested on 05/05/2017 @ 3:44 a.m.

Charges: Possession of a Firearm by a convicted Felon

Patrol officers observed a vehicle fail to stop at a red light in the area of LA 182. A stop was initiated and Randy L. Worthey was identified as the operator of the vehicle and Dino D. Livingston was identified as one of the occupants. According to reports Worthey’s drivers’ license was found to under suspension and he held active warrants for his arrest through the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office. Suspected methamphetamine and alprazolam was located on his person. A search of the vehicle produced a firearm that was in the immediate control of Worthey and Livingston and both were found to be convicted of felonies that prohibit them from possessing a firearm. Worthey and Livingston were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
