MCPD Arrest Report 06/19/2017
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 123 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result, beginning on 06/16/2017:
Tracy A. Thomas, 49 years of age, address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/16/2017 @ 7:59 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Theft under $750
Warrant: F.T.A. for Trial on 11/16/2017 (16th Judicial Court)
Tracy A. Thomas was located and arrested in the area of Orange St. on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police and 16th Judicial Court. The warrant from the Morgan City Police stems from an investigation conducted by Detectives in regards to a theft. According to reports during the investigation, Thomas was identified as a suspect in taking merchandise valued at $43.68 from a business in the area of LA 70. Thomas was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Justin D. Price, 28 years of age, address: General McArthur St Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/16/2017 @ 10:25 p.m.
Charges: Possession of Marijuana

Patrol officers observed a vehicle conduct an improper turn in the area of Belanger St. A stop was initiated and Justin D. Price was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, officers located suspected marijuana. Price’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension and the vehicle he was operating was no properly insured as required by Louisiana Law. Price was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Robinson C. Aquino, 38 years of age, address: Bayou Loures, La., arrested on 06/16/2017 @ 11:15 p.m.
Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Patrol officers responded to a business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a suspicious subject. Officers arrived and Robinson C. Aquino was identified. According to reports, Aquino was found to be in an intoxicated state Aquino was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Stephen A. Boyd Jr., 28 years of age, address: Ratcliff Ln. Franklin, La., arrested on 06/17/2017 @ 4:34 a.m.

Warrant: Domestic Abuse Battery (Child Endangerment Law)(St. Mary S.O.)

Warrant: F.T.A. on 05/08/2017 (Assumption Parish S.O.)
Stephen A. Boyd Jr. was located and arrested in the area of Sixth St. on active arrest warrants held by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office and Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office. Boyd was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
John C. Aucoin, 36 years of age, address: Delmar Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/17/2017 @ 8:05 p.m.

Patrol officers responded to the Lake End Park in regards to a suspicious subject. Officers arrived and John C. Aucoin was identified. According to reports, Aucoin was found to be in an intoxicated state. Aucoin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Nakita D. Smith, 32 years of age, address: N St. Patterson, La. arrested on 06/17/2017 @ 9:30 p.m.

Disturbing the Peace
Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Victor II Blvd and the operator was not properly restrained. A stop was initiated and Nikita D. Smith was identified as the operator. According to reports, Smith’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. During the investigation Smith began yelling profanities in the area of an open business. Smith was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Patrick L. Augman, 43 years of age, address: Spurgeon Rd. Monroe, La., arrested on 06/17/2017 @ 10:10 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 05/30/2017 (3 counts)
Patrick L. Augman was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Augman was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Jose G.T. Garcia, 32 years of age, address: West Syl’s Ln. Amelia, La., arrested on 06/18/2017 @ 2:14 a.m.

Patrol officers responded to the area of US 90 in regards to a vehicle being operated in a reckless manner. A description of the vehicle was obtained and officers arrived locating the vehicle in the area. The vehicle was observed swerving from lane to lane. A stop was initiated and Jose G.T. Garcia was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Garcia was found to be in an intoxicated state. Garcia performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Garcia was found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License and several children were in the vehicle. Garcia was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Test for Intoxication. Upon arriving at the Morgan City Jail Garcia submitted to chemical test which registered .124g% blood alcohol content. Garcia was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Edgar A. Detrinidad-Navas, 60 years of age, address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/18/2017 @ 2:20 a.m.
Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
Patrol officers responded to the area of Railroad Ave. in regards to a crash. Officers arrived and Edgar A. Detrinidad-Navas was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports Detrinidad-Navas was found to be in an intoxicated state. Detrinidad-Navas was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing for Intoxication. Upon arrival to the Morgan City Jail Detrinidat-Navas submitted to chemical test which registered .221g% blood alcohol content. Detrinidat-Navas was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Kirk Tappin, 47 years of age, address: McDermott Dr. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/18/2017 @ 4:19 p.m.
Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery
Warrant: F.T.A for Arraignment on 09/26/2016
Patrol officers responded to the area of LA 70 in regards to a complaint of a battery that had been committed. Officers arrived and spoke with the victim. According to reports, the female displayed injuries that were consistent with a battery being committed. Kirk Tappin was identified as a suspect. Patrol officers located Tappin at a residence on McDermott Dr. Tappin was found to have active warrants for his arrest held by the 16th Judicial Court. Tappin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Heather B. Durapau was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police and the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. The warrants from the Morgan City Police stem from an investigation conducted by Narcotic Detectives in January of 2017 where a vehicle was observed making an improper turn in the area of Sixth St. A stop was initiated and Heather B. Durapau was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Durapau was found to be in possession of suspected Buprenorphine Hydrochloride, suspected Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. A warrant was obtained for Durapau’s arrest. Durapau was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Richard was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers conducted an investigation on June 01, 2017 in regards to a Forgery. Officers arrived and Marilyn Guarisco was identified as a suspect. According to reports, Guarisco had allegedly forged the victims signature on checks totaling $6,575.00 and cashed them at the bank. Warrants were obtained for Guarisco’s arrest. Guarisco was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
