MCPD Arrest Report 07/24/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 101 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 07/21/2017:

Jeric J. Bias, 41 years of age, address: Arkansas St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/21/2017 @ 8:38 a.m.

Charges: Simple Battery

Correctional Officers with the Morgan City Jail responded to the cell block in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and Jeric J. Bias was identified as a suspect involved in the disturbance. According to reports, it was learned that Bias had struck another inmate during the altercation. Bias was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail where he was incarcerated.

Jonathan Louis Davila-Campuzano, 30 years of age, address: Grand Caillou Rd. Houma, La., arrested on 07/21/2017 @ 9:32 a.m.

Charges: Improper Equipment
                 Registration Required
                 No Driver’s License

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of US 90 with improper equipment. A stop was initiated and Jonathan Louis Davila-Campuzano was identified as the operator of the vehicle. During the investigation, it was learned that the vehicle that Davila-Campuzano was operating did not have up to date registration and he did not possess a valid driver’s license. Davila-Campuzano was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Tara L. Harford, 34 years of age, address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/21/2017 @ 4:01 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug-Free Zone)

Patrol officers responded to a residence in the area of Fourth St. in regards to a complaint of narcotic activity. Officers arrived at the residence and Tara L. Harford was identified as a suspect. According to reports, Harford was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The area where the residence was located was within a Drug –Free Zone. Harford was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Michael W. Forristal, 45 years of age, address: Honey Ln. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/21/2017 @ 5:32 p.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of Brashear Ave. in regards to a subject who was non-responsive. According to reports, officers arrived and Michael W. Forristal was located sleeping at a table. Officers were able to wake Forristal and he was found to be in an intoxicated state. Forristal was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Shanita Evans, 39 years of age, address: Oak St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/21/2017 @ 7:30 p.m.

Charges: Serving time for City Court
                 Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility

Shanita Evans arrived at the Morgan City Jail to serve time as ordered by the Morgan City Court. According to reports, during the process of booking Evans was found to be in possession of tobacco and sleep aid medicine hidden on her person. Evans was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail where she was incarcerated.

Chaz M. Rebardi, 22 years of age, address: Mill Rd. Patterson, La., arrested on 07/21/2017 @ 11:30 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 05/10/2017 (2 counts)

Chaz M. Rebardi was located and arrested in the area of LA 182 on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial Court. Rebardi was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jason Connolly 07222017
Jason J. Connolly, 27 years of age, address: Sawmill Rd. Harahan, La., arrested on 07/22/2017 @ 5:25 p.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Cocaine)
                 Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Following too close to vehicles
                 Improper Lane Usage

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of US 90 in an erratic manner switching from lane to lane and following other vehicle too close. The vehicle was also observed crossing the outer line on US 90. A stop was initiated and Jason J. Connolly was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, during the encounter with officers Connolly began acting in a suspicious manner and became very nervous. Connolly denied consent to search the vehicle at which time the Morgan City Police Department K-9 Division responded to assist. Once the K-9 Division arrived K-9 Lady was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle. K-9 Lady showed odor response to the presence of illegal narcotics in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle officers located suspected cocaine, suspected marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Connolly was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Dearius D. Kenner, 29 years of age, address: Grace St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/23/2017 @ 4:36 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension

                 Warrant: F.T.A. for Trial on 03/30/2017
                 Warrant: Simple Battery
                 Warrant: Simple Criminal Damage to Property
                 Warrant: Simple Assault

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Ditch Avenue and the operator was known to the officer as Dearius D. Kenner. The officer had knowledge that Kenner held active warrants for his arrest. A stop was initiated on the vehicle and the vehicle that Kenner was operating had a license plate that belong to another and Kenner’s Louisiana Driver’s License was under suspension. Warrant checks revealed that Kenner held warrants through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court and the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office. Kenner was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Toya C. Gray, 37 years of age, address: Cypremort Rd. Franklin, La., arrested on 07/23/2017 @ 9:25 p.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                  Improper Turning
                  Improper Lane Usage
                  Open Container in a Motor Vehicle

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Federal Ave. negotiate an improper turn onto Brashear Ave. While traveling on Brashear Ave. the vehicle was observed swerving from lane to lane crossing the center line. A stop was initiated and Toya C. Gray was identified as the operator the vehicle. According to reports, Gray was found to be in an intoxicated state. Officers also located open alcoholic beverages in the vehicle. Gray performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test at which time she was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing. Once at the Morgan City Jail Gray submitted to Chemical Test which resulted in .114g% blood alcohol content. Gray was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

William C. Richards, 26 years of age, address: S.W. County Rd Lake City, FL, arrested on 07/24/2017 @ 2:42 a.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Prior to officers arriving the suspects left the area in a vehicle. A description of that vehicle was obtained and it was located a short time later in the area of LA 182. A stop was initiated and William C. Richards was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Richards was found to be in an intoxicated state. Richards performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Richards was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Test. Once at the Morgan City Jail Richards submitted to Chemical Test which resulted .118g% blood alcohol content. Richards was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
