MCPD Arrest Report 08/29/2017
Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 38 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 08/28/2017:
Ronald J. Armond Jr., 23 years of age, address: Murial St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 08/28/2017 @ 8:28 a.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 11/29/2016 (3 counts)
Ronald J. Armond Jr. was located and arrested at the Patterson Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Armond Jr. was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Jamie Quintanilla, 60 years of age, address: Saturn Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 08/28/2017 @ 3:29 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: Contempt of Court
Jamie Quintanilla was located and arrested in the area of Federal Ave. on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Quintanilla was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Derrick J. Batiste, 29 years of age, address: General McArthur Morgan City, La., arrested on 08/28/2017 @ 7:53 p.m.
Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 06/21/2016

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Victor II Blvd with improper lighting. A stop was initiated and Derrick Batiste was later identified as the operator of the vehicle. Initially, Batiste provided the officer with a false name. It was learned that Batiste’s Louisiana Driver’s License was under suspension and the vehicle he was operating did not have the proper inspection as required by Louisiana Law. It was also learned that Batiste held an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Batiste was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
