Cory Myers, 31 years of age, Address-7257 Highway 182, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 3/13/2020 at 2:12 P.M.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Officers came into contact with Corey Myers at a local motel on Highway 182. Myers was found in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Tyler Joseph Aucoin, 31 years of age, Address-Federal Ave., Morgan City, La. was arrested on 3/13/2020 at 7:06 P.M.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
               Obstruction of Justice

Warrant: Failure to Appear (5 counts)

Officers were called to the area of Second St. and Belanger St. about an intoxicated individual walking in the area. Upon officer's arrival, they came into contact with Tyler Aucoin. When the officers came into contact with Tyler Aucoin he ingested a small about of suspected marijuana. He was placed under arrest. A warrants check revealed the City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for his arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Tyus Tremaine Jones, 20 years of age, Address-Tupelo St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 3/13/2020 at 10:11 P.M.

Charge: Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)

An officer observed a traffic violation in the area of Brashear Ave. and Federal Ave. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Tyus Jones. Jones was found in possession of suspected marijuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on Highway 182. The driver was identified as Cedric B. Gant. A computer check revealed Grant's driver's license was under suspension. During the traffic stop, the officer detected the odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The passenger, Desmond Young, was found in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Both Grant and Young were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Devin James Dinger, 25 years of age, Address-Lewis St., New Iberia, La., was arrested on 3/15/2020 at 3:48 A.M.

Officers were called to a local business on Highway 182 for a disturbance. Upon officer's arrival, they located Devin Dinger on the property. Dinger had just been removed from the property for causing a disturbance by officers. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jacob Fabian Gil, 34 years of age, Address-Kimberly Drive, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 3/15/2020 at 7:33 P.M.

                 Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle

Officers were called to Orange St. about a suspicious vehicle. Upon the officer's arrival, they located the vehicle leaving the area. The officer observed the vehicle cross into opposing traffic and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Jacob F. Gil. Officers learned from a witness, Gil had thrown an empty can of beer out of his vehicle. Gil admitted he had thrown the empty beer can out the window before police stopping him. The officers suspected driver impairment. A standardized field sobriety test was given and Gil did poorly on the test. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the Morgan City Police Police Department he was given an intoxilyzer test. He gave a breath sample of .131g%. Gil was booked and incarcerated.

Officers were called to a single crash on Highway LA 70. Upon officer's arrival, officers observed a vehicle leaving the area with damage consistent with being involved in a crash. Officers stopped the vehicle on Seventh St. and identified the driver as John F. Vandercook. During the investigation, it was learned Vandercook had struck a traffic sign in the area of Lake End Park, and his driver's license was under suspension. Officers located an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle and suspected driver impairment. A field sobriety test was given and John F. Vandercook did poorly on the test. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the Morgan City Police Department, he was given an intoxilyzer test and submitted a breath sample of .210g%. He was booked and incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department.

Officers observed a traffic violation on U.S. Highway 90 and conducted the traffic stop. The driver was identified as Jessie L. Comeaux Jr. During the traffic stop, the officer suspected driver impairment. A field sobriety test was given and Jessie L. Comeaux Jr. did poorly on the test. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the Morgan City Police Department, he was given an intoxilyzer test and submitted a breath sample of .165%. He was booked and incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department.
