Charge: Simple Assault

Officers were called to a Park Road residence for a disturbance. When officers arrived, they learned Michael Dodd attempted to commit a battery on the complainant. Dodd was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jonathan Wayne Ashley, 31 years of age, Address-Ninth St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/26/2020 at 9:45 A.M.

Warrant: Violation of a Protective Order

Jonathan W. Ashley turned himself in on an active warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. He was booked and incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on Eleventh St. for a disturbance. When officers arrived, they came into contact with Bereda Ruffin. A warrant check revealed the Morgan City Police Department held an active warrant for two counts of theft of goods and the 16th District Court held an active warrant for failure to appear. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Officers were called to a local business on Highway 182, about Alicia R. Bertrand trespassing on the property. When officers arrived, they learned she had been previously barred from the property. During the investigation, officers located serval items of merchandise concealed in her purse. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Brent A. Green, 24 years of age, Address-Freret St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/26/2020 at 11:44 P.M.

               Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)

Warrant: Failure to Appear (3 Counts)

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Everett St. and Highway 182. During the traffic stop, two of the passengers gave the officer a false name. During the traffic investigation, their true identifies were discovered and were identified as Dashawn Moore and Brent Green.
A warrant check revealed the 16th District Court held three active warrants for Dashawn Moore. It also revealed the 16th District Court and the City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for Brent Green. Both Green and Moore were placed under arrest. During Greens' arrest, officers located suspected marijuana in his possession. Green and Moore were transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

               Possession of Methamphetamine
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
               Failure to Dim Headlights

An officer observed a traffic violation in the area of Highway 182 and Myrtle St. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Sean M. Bernard. During the traffic stop, Bernard was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Leo Griffin Vaughn, 42 years of age, Address-Chatsworth St. Morgan City, La., was arrested on 2/24/2020 at 12:01 P.M.

Warrant: Unauthorized Entry of Inhabited Dwelling

The warrant stems from a complaint filed with the Morgan City Police Department on February 23, 2020. During the investigation, Leo Vaughn was identified as entering a residence without consent. A warrant was obtained for his arrest.
