Shawn P. Boudreaux, 35 years of age, Address-Franklin, La. was arrested on 07/31/2014 @ 10:17pm

Charge: Entry on Premises after being Forbid

Officers were dipatched to a Federal Ave. convenience store regarding Shawn Boudreaux.  Boudreaux was eventually removed from the premises and advised by management and officers that he was not to return to the business.  A short time later, officers were again dispatched to the location to remove Boudreaux.  Officers arrived, located Boudreaux and placed him under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Kierra Johnson, 26 years of age, Address-Patterson, La. was arrested on 07/31/2014 @ 10:56pm

Charge: No License Plate Light; No Drivers License; Warrant: Failure to Appear-Disturbing the Peace; Warrant: St. Mary Parish-Failure to Appear No Drivers License

Shandice Harris, 25 years of age, Address-Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/31/2014 @ 10:56pm

Charge: Warrant: St. Mary Parish-Criminal Neglect of Family; Warrant: Failure to Appear-No Drivers License

A patrolling officer stopped a vehicle near David Drive and Highway 182 for improper lighting.  The officer came into contact with the driver, Kierra Johnson who was found not to possess a valid drivers license.  Johnson, as well as a passenger in the vehicle, Shandice Harris were both found to be wanted on outstanding warrants and were placed under arrest.  Both were transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Lucious P. Romero Jr., 39 years of age, Address-Third St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/29/2014 @ 4:38pm

Charge: Warrant: Parole Violation

     Officers located Lucious Romero Jr. at a Victor II Blvd. business and placed him under arrest on a warrant for Parole Violation.  Romero was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated. 

Bonie Lester, 46 years of age, Address-Houma, La. was arrested on 07/29/2014 @ 7:39pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear-Stop Sign Violation, Disturbing the Peace

Joseph A. Acosta, 22 years of age, Address-Grove St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/29/2014 @ 7:39pm

Charge: Warrant: 16th Judicial District Court-Contempt of Court; Failure to Appear for Careless Operation, Stop Sign Violation

     While responding to a complaint of disturbance at a Grove St. address, officers encountered Joseph Acosta and Bonie Lester who were both found to be wanted on outstanding warrants.  The subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated. 

Christin L. Blanchard, 26 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/29/2014 @ 8:29pm

Charge: Warrant: Possession of Marijuana; Possession of Schedule II CDS-Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute; Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana(2nd Offense); Possession of Schedule II CDS-Codeine; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division began an investigation into narcotics sales from a Highway 182 apartment.  Investigators, during that investigation secured a search warrant of the residence.  On 07/29/2014, investigators with the Morgan City Police Department with the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant at the residence.  During the subsequent search, Christin Blanchard, the resident was found to be in possession of a Schedule II CDS-Cocaine.  Investigators also recovered suspected marijuana, codeine as well as items of drug paraphernalia.  Blancahrd, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Lionel P. Joseph, 24 years of age, Address-Hwy 1 Labadieville,La. was arrested on 07/28/2014 @ 10:45am

Charge: Warrant-Theft over $1,500.00

     Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department began in investigation into a theft from a Highway 182 restaurant on May 28, 2014.  In that complaint, Lionel Joseph was accused of a theft of money from several deposits for the restaurant as well as electronic equipment consisting of a laptop computer and I Pad device.  Detectives issued a warrant for Joseph and he was ultimately located by Kenner Police Department and incarcerated.  Lionel Joseph was transferred from Kenner Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department where he was incarcerated with no bond yet set. 

Chantal T. Burke, 20 years of age, Address-Patterson, La. was arrested on 07/28/2014 @ 3:42pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-Red Light Violation

Chantel Burke was located at the Morgan City Police Department and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for the City Court of Morgan City.  She was booked and released after posting a cash bond.

Charge: Possession of Schedule II CDS-Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute

Detectives with the Narcotics Division of the Morgan City Police Department began an investigation into the sales of illegal narcotics from a Barrow St. residence.  In that invesgiation, Ciara Williams was identified as the suspect.  Based on information and evidence recovered, investigators secured a search warrant for the residence.  Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department, with assistance from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department secured the residence and executed the search warrant.  During a search of the residence, detectives recovered a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance-Crack Cocaine.  Ciara Williams was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she admitted to the distribution of the drug from the residence.  Williams was booked and remains incarcerated with a bond of $150,000.00.

Rusty P. Collins, 34 years of age, Address-Highway 182 W. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/28/2014 @ 11:00pm

Charge: Warrant: Ascension Parish-Criminal Damage to Property, Simple Battery

Rusty Collins was located by a Morgan City police officer and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants from Ascension Parish authorities.  Collins was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and awaits transfer to Ascension Parish.

Charge: Warrant: Patterson, La.-Failure to Appear-Leash Law Violation

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle with improper lighting and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Mark Derouen was found to have an outstanding warrant for Patterson Police Department. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department have made additional arrest regarding a theft investigation which began on March 25, 2014:

     On March 25, 2014, Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department began an investigation into the theft of funds from Capital Management Consultants Inc. of Morgan City, La.  During the investigation, evidence was uncovered which indicated a systematic theft of funds from the company over the span of several years.  Several search warrants were executed by investigators.  During those warrants and subsequent investigation, evidence was uncovered which implicated two employees of the company, Karen Duhon and Donna Peveto as being responsible for the thefts.  Investigators secured arrest warrants for both Karen Duhon of Morgan City, La. and Donna Peveto, of Houma, La.  In those affidavits, Karen Duhon is accused of committing the theft of $1,233,000.00 by fraudulent means between 2007 and 2014.  It is alleged that Donna Peveto had committed the theft of $633,700.00 during that same time period.

     Karen D. Duhon, 59 years of age, Address-Sixth St. Morgan City, La. turned herself in to the Morgan City Police Department on 07/29/2014 @ 10:57am where she was booked and charged with: Felony Theft-8 Counts (Total $1,233,000.00).  She was processed and released after posting a bond of $150,000.00.  


     Donna Peveto, 57 years of age, Address-Houma, La. was previously arrested and booked on 07/24/2014 @ 11:25am.  She was also released after posting a bond of $150,000.00.  

     The investigation is continuing with additional arrests possible pending the completion of that investigation.

Jason J. Dupre, 33 years of age, Address-Aucoin St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/25/2014 @ 5:05pm

Charge: Red Light Violation; Driving Under Suspension

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle disregard a traffic signal at the intersection of Seventh St. and Brashear Ave. and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Jason Dupre was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license.  Dupre was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Courtland J. Fullwood, 26 years of age, Address-Barrow St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/25/2014 @ 9:03pm

Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery; Resisting an Officer

Officers responded to a Barrow St. residence regarding a domestic disturbance.  Officers learned that a subject, Courtland Fullwood was accused of striking a female at the residence several times during a dispute and leaving the area.  Officers encountered Fullwood in the area during the investigation.  Courtland Fullwood fled from officers and was apprahended a short time later hiding under another residence.  Fullwood was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Jody R. Cubbedge, 56 years of age, Address-Third St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 07/25/2014 @ 10:08pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear for Revocation-Theft and Remaining on Premises (St. Mary)

Patrolling officers located Jody Cubbedge in the area of Sixth St. and Fig St. and placed him under arrest on outstanding warrants for the St. Mary Parish Sixteenth Judicial Court.  Cubbedge was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Gabriel J. Adams, 50 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/25/2014 @ 11:30pm

Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery

Officers were dispatched to a Fourth St. residence regarding a domestic disturbance.  Officers arrived and learned that a male, Gabriel Adams and female were involved in a physical altercation prior to officer arrival.  During the disturbance, it is alleged that Adams struck the female causing minor injuries.  Admas was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Christopher D. Woods, 21 years of age, Address-Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/26/2014 @ 1:57am

Charge: Possession of Schedule II CDS-Crack Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute; Possession of Schedule III CDS-Hydrocodone

Charge: Stop Sign Violation; Possession of Schedule III CDS-Hydrocodone

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle fail to negotiate a stop sign and stopped the vehicle on Highway 182 and Florence St. to investigate.  The officer came into contact with the driver, Lamarcus Francois and a passenger, Christopher Woods.  As the officer was speaking to the subjects, a celophane bag containing while pills was observed on the floor of the vehicle.  The subjects were detained and the item retreived and discovered to be Hydrocodone, a controlled dangerous substance.  The passenger, Christopher Woods, according to reports was also found to be in possession of a celophane bag which contained several pieces of suspected crack cocaine which was also seized.  The subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated. 

Carlos Cespedes, 46 years of age, Address-Victor II Blvd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/26/2014 @ 7:18pm

Charge: Violation of a Protective Order

An officer patrolling the Seventh St. area of Morgan City observed a male subject, Carlos Cespedes walking near a residence in the area.  The officer, who was aware of an outstanding protective order prohibiting Cespedes from the area detained Cespedes,  The officer confirmed the protective order which had been obtained by another which prohibited Cespedes from the area of the complainant.  Cespedes could not explain why he was in the area and was subsequently arrested.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana

An officer patrolling a residential area near Federal Ave. observed a suspicious male subject and stopped to investigate.  The subject, Nyjul Hillebrandt, while speaking to officers was found to be in possession of a celophane bag which contained suspected marijuana.  Hillebrandt was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Deaprtment where he was booked and incarcerated.
