Trevor M. Hebert, 26 years of age, Address: Teche Rd. Morgan City, LA, arrested on 10/23/2021 @ 4:13 p.m. 

Charges: Aggravated Arson
                 Simple Burglary
                 Criminal Damage to Property 
                 Violation of a Protective Order
                 Obstruction of Justice

Officers with the Morgan City Police Department along with the Morgan City Fire Department responded to the area of Vine Drive in regards to a structure fire. After the blaze was exitinguished it was determined that the origin of the fire was of suspicious circumstances. Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division along with the Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office responded.  Trevor M. Hebert was developed as a suspect during the course of the investigation. According to reports, Hebert admitted to entering the residence and setting fire to the house. After the crime, Hebert allegedly went to the area of Catherine St. and destroyed evidence. Hebert was also found to be in Violation of a Protective Order. Hebert was arrested and booked into the Morgan CIty Jail with no bail set. 

Devin Joseph Mayon, 21 years of age, Address: Poplar St. Morgan City, LA, arrested on 10/21/2021 @ 2:10 p.m.

In May of 2021 Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division began an investigation involving Devin Joseph Mayon engaging in inappropriate conduct with underage juveniles. On May 19, 2021 Mayon was placed under arrest on charges related to the initial investigation. Through continuing investigation, Investigators identified additional victims Mayon had been in contact with along with multiple images of child sexual assault material, as well as images of pornography involving animals. An arrest warrant was obtained for Mayon. On October 21, 2021 Mayon was located in the area of First St. Mayon was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
