Patrick L Phillips was located by officers on Hwy 182 where Phillips was arrested on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants were obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an alleged aggravated assault and simple battery on Terrebonne Street reported on December 27, 2015. Phillips was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Officers responded to a local retail store on Brashear Avenue in regard to a report of two shoplifters. The subjects suspected of the theft exited the store and left the area in a vehicle before officers arrived. Responding officers located a vehicle matching the description provided and a vehicle stop was conducted. Samuel A Morgan and Blake Dinger were identified as the occupants of the vehicle and during an investigation, reports indicate that officers uncovered evidence that Morgan and Dinger had commited the alleged theft. Morgan and Dinger were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
Zacjary Beckley, 21 years of age, Address: Conti St. New Orleans, La. was arrested on 07/01/2016 @ 9:18pm. Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Officers responded to an area on Hwy 182 in regard to an intoxicated subject walking into several businesses. A description was provided when officers located Zachary Beckley who matched the description in the area. During an investigation, reports indicate that the officers suspected Beckly to have been drinking and believed that he may be intoxicated. Beckly was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerarted.

Officers responded to a local retail store on Brashear Avenue in regard to a report of a shoplifter. The officers arrived and located the subject suspected of the theft identified as Shanita Evans. During an investigation, reports indicate the officers uncovered evidence that Evans had committed the alleged theft. A warrants check revealed that Evans had active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants were obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police of an alleged simple battery and criminal trespassing on Mallard Street reported on May 28, 2016. Evans was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Officers responded to an address on Fifth Street in regard to a report of a subject pulling a gun on a person and that the subject with the gun had fled into a residence. Officers arrived and located the subject suspected of the assault identified as Everett O Jack. The officers were told of two incidents where Jack had allegedly pulled a gun on the complainant one being the previous night which was reported which reports indicate that Jack had fled from officers. During an investigation, officers uncovered evidence of the alleged assualt and the possession a firearm. Jack an alleged convicted felon was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Braxton R Thorngate, 29 years of age, Address: Decatur Ave., Wheeling, Va. was arrested on 07/02/2016 @ 6:47pm. Charge: Theft of Goods
An officers responded to a local super market on Hwy 182 in regard to a report of a shoplifter. The officer arrived and located the subject suspected of the theft identified as Braxton T Thorngate. Officers were told that Thorngate had allegedly taken a drink valued at $3.12 from a shelf and consumbed the beverage. Reports indicate that Thorngate then placed the empty bottle on a shelf and attempted to leave the store without paying. Evidence of the alleged theft was uncovered by officers at which time Thorngate was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Johnathan P Wiggins, 29 years of age, Address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/02/2016 @ 8:11pm. Charge: Warrant - Unauthorized Use of an Access Card
Johnathan P Wiggins was located by officers on Hwy 182 where WIggins was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained from an investgiation conducted by Morgan City Police of an alleged unauthorized use of an accress card in Morgan City reported on June 20, 2016. Wiggins was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Possession of Alprazolam
An officer responded to a local super market on Hwy 182 in regard to an off duty officer detaining a suspected shoplifter. The officer arrived and identifified Shanita Evans as the suspected shoplifter. The officer was told that the offf duty officer was approached by employees stating that Evans had taken several items from the store and was attempting to leave. The off duty officer identified himself as a police officer and confronted Evans about the theft when Evans attempted to flee on foot but unsuccessful and was detained by the officer. An invesigation revealed that Evans had allegedly taken several items from the store valued at $165.77 which was returned to the store. Evans was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking. During booking, a more thorough search of Evans person was conducted when officers located suspected ecstacy and alprazolam. Evans was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Chyral C Whitehead, 36 years of age, Address: Parro Lane, Berwick, La. was arrested on 07/04/2016 @ 11:21pm. Charge: Warrant - Pobation Violation
Chyral C Whitehead was located by officers on Hwy 182 where Whitehead was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Whitehead was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Kenneth White, 52 years of age, Address: Roderick St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/04/2016 @ 5:01pm. Charges: Warrant - Failure to Appear on 08/18/16 for No Drivers License
