Officers responded to an apratment complex on Hwy 182 in regard to a female causing a disturbance. The officers arrived when according to reports the officers observed a female later identified as Mary Mayfield shouting using profane language causing a disturbance. The officers then spoke with Mayfield who according to reports was suspected to have been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Mayfield was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Matthew G Mithcell, 28 years of age, Address: Brashear Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/28/2016 @ 2:19am.

Improper Lane Usage
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on Hwy 182 traveling out of its lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted when the driver of the vehicle was idenified as Matthew G Mitchell. During a traffic investigation, Mitchell was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. Mitchell was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing where Mitchell submitted to the Intoxilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol conentration of .133 grams percent. Mitchell was placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Jail where he was incarcerated.
John F Sanford, 47 years of age, Address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/28/2016 @ 2:14pm.
Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery
Officers responded to an address on Fourth Street in regard to a report of a disturbance. The officers arrived when the officers spoke with John F Sanford who told the officers that he an another occupant of the residence who left the residence before the officers arrived were involved in an argument. While speaking with Sanford, evidence of a disturbance was observed by the officers. During an investigation of the incident, the officers located the other occupant of the residence at an address on Missouri Street who showed signs that they may have been the victim of a battery. The officers were told that the victim and Sanford were involved in a argument when Sanford allegedly committed a battery on the victim. Sanford was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

The warrants were obtained from investigations conducted by the Morgan City Police Department of two incidents, one of alleged unathorized use of a movable reported on March 21, 2016 and the other of an alleged battery reported on February 15, 2016. Lasalle was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Unauthroized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling
Officers responded to a residence on Brashear Avenue in regard to a reported battery. The officers arrived when they spoke with Donald R Anderson who told officers that he went to a neighboring residence at which time an occupant of the residence committed a battery on Anderson. While speaking with Anderson, the officers suspected Anderson to have been drinking and believed that Anderson was intoxicated. The officers then went to the neighboring residence where the officers spoke with several witnesses to the incident. The officers where told that Donald R Anderson had gone to the residence when Anderson entered the residence without authorization. The officers were told that an occupant of residence pushed Anderson in an attempt to get Anderson out of the residence. Anderson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Warrant - Failure to Appear to Pay Fines (32nd JDC)
Officers responded to the parking lot of a local lounge in regard to a report of a fight. Upon arriving, officers were told bt several witnesses to the incident that one of the subjects involved, Carl R Miller had got into a vehicle and was observed driving in a reckless manner in the parking lot before fleeing the area. A description of the vehicle was provided to other resonding officers when officers located a vehicle matching the description provided on Hwy 182. A traffic stop was conducted when Miller was identified as the driver. Officers spoke with Miller about the incident when it was suspected that Miller had been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. A warrants check revealed that Miller had an active arrest warrant through the 32nd Judicial District Courts. Miller was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing where Miller submitted to the Intoxilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol concentration of .150 grams percent. Miller was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being operated in a reckless manner in the area of Sixth Street near Onstead Street. A traffic stop was conducted when the officer identified Donzell Gaskins as the driver of the vehicle. A drivers licens check revealved that Gaskins did not have a valid drivers license. Gaskins was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle inside Lake End Park traveling at a high rate of speed and in a carless manner. A traffic stop was conducted when the driver of the vehicle was identified as Cole M Richard. During an investigation, Richard's behavior aroused the officer's suspicions that Richard may be involed in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when officers located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Cole was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booked where according to reports, Richard pulled away from officers. During a short struggle, it was reported that Richard damaged a door inside the facility. Richard was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Harry Irvin Jr., 49 years of age, Address: Garber St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/30/2016 @ 5:15am. Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
A patrolling officer observed a subject on a bicycle in the area of Onsead Street near Front Street. According to reports, the subject turned onto the sidewalk nearly falling down. The officer then spoke with the subject identified as Harry Irvin Jr.. It was suspected that Irvin had been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Irvin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
