Driving While Intoxicated - 2nd Offense
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on Pecos Street traveling out of its lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as James P Voisin. During a traffic investigation, the officer suspected Voisin to have been drinking and believed Voisin may be intoxicated. Voisin was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing where Voisin submitted to the Intoxilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol concentration of .165 grams percent. Voisin was placed under arrest, booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Kentrell F Diggs, 23 years of age, Address: Opelousas St. Donaldsonville, La. was arrested on 06/03/2016 @ 10:58pm. Charges: Warrant - Probation Violation

Kentrell F Diggs was transported the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Jail Facility to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to active arrest warrants held by Morgan City Police and the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Diggs was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Eddie Mayfield, 30 years of age, Address: Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/04/2016 @ 12:38am. Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Officers responded to a residence on Fifth Street in regard to a call of a disturbance. Officers arrived when they located Eddie Mayfield standing in front of the residence. The officers were told by witnesses that Mayfield was involved in as argument which nearly resulted in a fight with another subject who left the area before officers arrived. During an investigation, officers suspected Mayfield to have been drinking and believed Mayfiled was intoxicated. Mayfield was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Craig Nini, 34 years of age, Address: Arkansas St. Lake Charles, La. was arrested on 06/04/2016 @ 1:21am. Charges: Battery On An Officer (2 Counts)

Obstruction of Justice
A patrolling officer conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 182 near Martin Luther King Blvd. in regard to the vehicle traveling out of its lane of travel. During the investigation, the officer could hear what sounded like a disturbance inside the vehicle. As the officer spoke with the driver of the vehicle, other officers arrived to assist when they observed a passenger inside the vehicle later identified as Craig Nini. Reports indicate that Nini was observed moving frantically inside the vehicle and was believed to be attempting to coneal something from officers. Officers then spoke with Nini at which time he was asked to exit the vehice. Reports indicate that Nini appeared to have concealed something inside his mouth when officer told Nini to remove the object. According to reports, Nini pushed the officer and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, Nini resisted vioently when Nini kicked two of the officers. After several moments of fighting, the officers were able to gain control and place Nini in handcuffs. Reports indicate that officers retrieved a bag from Nini's mouth containing an unknown substance. The unknown substance was obtained as evidence to be sent to a criminal laboratory for analysis. Nini was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Hope L Delgado, 31 years of age, Address: Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/04/2016 @ 5:28am. Charge: Theft of Goods
An officer responded to a local convenience store on Hwy 182 in regard to a call of a shoplifter. The officer arrived and located the subject suspected of the theft inside the store identified as Hope L Delgado. The officer was told by a store employee that Delgado entered the store, concealed several items in her purse and was attempting to leave without paying. The items vauled at $34.97 were retrieved from Delgado and returned to the store. Delgado was placed under arrest and tranported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Nicholas A Breaux was located by officers on Raiload Ave. near Fifth Street where he was arrested on several arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Breaux was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Byron Ogwin, 54 years of age, Address: Levee Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/04/2016 @ 7:47pm. Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
An officer responed to the area of Ditch Ave. and Hwy 182 in regard to a report of a subject stumbling in the area. The officer arrived when the officer located Byron Ogwin who matched the description provided. During an investigation, the officer suspected Ogwin to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. Ogwin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
