   A patrol officer in the area of Federal and Brashear Ave. observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal. The vehicle was stopped to investigate.  The driver, Shane Parenteau was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  The passenger of the vehicle, Missy Rials was asked to exit the vehicle.  During the course of the investigation, officers were able to get consent to search the vehicle. Located inside the vehicle were items used to smoke illegal narcotics and suspected methamphetamine.  Both Parenteau and Riles were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Telieigia M. Busby, 49 years of age, Address-Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/11/2015 @ 1:57 pm.


Charge:  Appearing in Public Intoxicated
                Remaining After Being Forbidden

     Officers were dispatched to a local business on Hwy 70 in regards to someone refusing to leave the premises.  When officers arrived, they were told that Telieigia Busby had been disturbing others in the business and had been asked to leave several times.  Officers made contact with Busby and could smell an odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath. Busby was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Rashid J. Hamilton, 19 years of age, Address- Jeanerette, La. was arrested on 08/11/2015 @ 2:34 pm.


Charge:  Warrant- Remaining After Being Forbidden

     Rashid Hamilton turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department for an outstanding warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court. Hamilton was booked and later released on bail.

     Ameedah Charles was placed under arrest in the City Court of Morgan City for disrupting court proceedings. She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and she was later released on bail.

Glendy Hernandez, 35 years of age, Address- Miami, FL was arrested on 08/11/2015 @ 11:30 pm.

    A patrol officer in the area of First and St. Clair St. observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal. The vehicle was stopped to investigate.  The driver of the vehicle, Glendy Hernandez was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  It was determined that Hernandez did not have a driver's license and held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court.  Hernandez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

     On August 08, 2015, narcotics investigators with the Morgan City Police Department conducted a search warrant of a Cypress Street residence which was obtained during an investigation into complaints of illegal narcotics activity at that location.  Detectives and officers of the Morgan City Police Department, along with assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department entered the residence, discovering several suspects along with three small juveniles, ranging in age from infant to three years old.  
    During the investigation, investigators discovered two chlldren, ages two and three years old secluded in a separate room.  The conditions inside the room were found to be dirty and unsanitary. The room was gated and found to have what appeared to be feces on the floor and walls of the room.  Investigators contacted the Department of Child Services who responded to the scene.  
     Also located outside the residence were several small animals which were caged.  The animals were found to be amaciated and without shelter, food or water.  An animal control officer with the Morgan City Police Department responded to the scene.  
     During a search of the residence,which is located within a drug free school zone,  detectives located a Schedule II CDS-Methamphetamine and evidence that the substance was being sold from the residence.  Officers also located two handguns, a 9mm and a .380 cal., one of which was discovered to be stolen. During the subsequent investigation, detectives learned that the controlled drug was indeed being sold from the residence.  They also learned from witnesses that the children were subject to the unsanitary conditions for some time, statements were made that the occupants of the residence, Jeana Domangue and Jacob Domangue had, on prior instances, held some of the children in animal cages inside the residence. 
     The Louisiana Department of Child Services took custody of the children where they were evaluated and given the proper care.  The Morgan City Police Department is continuing to work with the Louisiana Department of Child Services during the investigation.  The investigation is continuing.

   The Morgan City Police Department received a complaint of illegal narcotics being sold out  of an apartment located on LA 182.  Officers located the apartment and made contact with Laquisha Young and Joshua Rochell. Also in the residence were two children ages ten months and one years old. During the course of the investigation, officers were able to get consent to search the residence. Officers located suspected marijuana, several pieces suspected crack cocaine and a .38 caliber revolver. Young and Roshell was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. No bail has been set, at this time. The children were released to a guardian.

Ernesto C. Moctezuma, 37 years of age, Address-Spurce St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/12/2015 @ 5:28 pm.

   A patrol officer was flagged down in the area of Hwy 70 in regards to a hit and run vehicle crash. The victim told the officer that his vehicle was struck from behind. After the crash, the other vehicle continued on in an unknown direction.  The victim was able to get the license plate number of the vehicle. A description of the vehicle was given out and it was located on Spruce St. Officers made contact with Ernesto Moctezuma and according to reports, Moctezuma admitted to driving the vehicle and not stopping after the crash.  Moctezuma was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Kendrick M. Jones, 23 years of age, Address- Diane Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/12/2015 @ 10:58 pm.


Charge: Warrant- Failure to Appear (Hardin County, TX)

   Officers were dispatched to a local business on LA 182 in regards to a reckles driver in the parking lot.  Officers made contact with the driver, Kendrick Jones.  A warrants check was done Jones and it was determined that he held an active warrant for the Hardin County Sheriff's Office. Jones was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Robert J. Gussman Jr., 42 years of age, Address- Bush St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/10/2015 @ 9:29 pm.

                Illegal Use of Controlled Drug in the Presence of Persons Under 17 Years Old

     The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division along with the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at a Front St. residence.  Officers made contact with Terry Domangue and Robert Gussman. Also, located in the residence was a fourteen year old in a bedroom.  During the course of the investigation, officers located synthetic marijuana in Domangue's possession and suspected methamphetamine on Gussman. Items used to smoke illegal narcotics were also found in the residence. Both Domangue and Gussman were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. The juvenile was released to a guardian.

    A patrol officer in the area of Sixth St. and Ditch Ave. observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver, Vincent Thomas was asked to exit the vehicle. A check was done on Thomas' driver's license to see if it was valid.  It was determined that Thomas' driver's license was under suspension. The passenger of the vehicle, Rinney Turner was asked to exit the vehicle. While speaking with Turner, the officer observed suspected marijuana in plain view on the center console.  Both Thomas and Turner were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

   A patrol officer in the area of Sixth and Margurite St. observed a vehicle without a license plate. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, William Fendley was asked to produce a valid driver's license. It was determined that Fendley's driver's license was under suspension. While speaking to Fendley, the officer observed something fall from Fendely's waist area.  The officer picked up the items which were several small zip lock bags of suspected methamphetamine inside. Fendley was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

   Officers made contact with Mr. Figueroa-Garcia at the Morgan City Police Department where he was placed under arrest for outstanding warrants from City Court of Morgan City.  Figueroa-Garcia was escorted to the Morgan City Police Jail facility where he was booked and incarcerated.

     An officer patrolling the area of Brashear Ave and Second St. conducted a traffic stop, where Samuel Rhyne was identified as the driver's.  During a check of his driver's license Rhyne was found to have active warrants for his arrest from the Morgan City Police Department.  Rhyne was transported to the Morgan City Police Department jail facility where he was booked and later released after posting bond.

     A patrolling officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Railroad Ave. near Oak St. for improper lighting.  The driver identified as Ricardo Hernandez was also found to have a suspended driver's license.  During the arrest Hernandez was also found to have several outstanding warrants.  Hernandez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department jail facility for booking and incarceration.

     A corrections officer conducting cell searches located a container with several pills under the mattress of Wilson's bunk.  The correction officer identified the pills, which were not given out by the medical staff of the jail.  Wilson was booked into the Morgan City Police Department jail where she remains incarcerated.

     Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the area of Oil Tank Alley.  Officer came into contact with Verret at the complaint.  During the investigation witness's advised that Verret had struck a male subject at the residence.  Verret was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

    A patrolling officers observed a vehicle in the area of Brashear Ave. traveling faster than the posted speed limit.  The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Fredrick Johnson.  Fredrick Johnson could not produce valid insurance for the vehicle and was found to be wanted by the St. Mary Parish Sherriff's office for Domestic Abuse Battery.  Fredrick Johnson was placed under arrest.  During the investigation the officer spoke with the passenger identified as Lionell Johnson.  A warrants check on Lionell Johnson was found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to Appear for Trial in the City Court of Morgan City.  Both subjects were transported to the Morgan City Police Department jail for booking and incarceration.

Yosheka Hayes, 28 years of age, Address-Wren St. Morgan City,La. was arrested on 08/09/2015 @ 5:19 pm.

Charges: Unauthorized use of an Access Card as Theft-18 counts
                 Warrant- FTA for Simple Assault- City Court of Morgan City
     
     Officers responded to an business on La 70  to investigate a complaint of a theft.  During the investigation officers learned that one of the employee's identified as Yosheka Hayes had used a EBT card from a customer in the business.  After reviewing the video from the store and charges to the card, Hayes was found to use the card 18 times during the past few days.  The officer also learned that Hayes was also wanted for City Court of Morgan City. Hayes who was working at the time was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.  The investigation is still ongoing.

     Officers responded to a local lounge after a complaint about a large fight.   Officers arrived and found several subjects outside the lounge and two of them holding pool stick.  After officers detained the subjects they learned that a fight started between two groups at the lounge.  Officers learned that after one of the groups entered the lounge they began to argue with the other group.  Officer learned that a fight then started between the groups during which time two of the subjects grabbed pool stick.  Officers arrested all five subject involved in the fight, they were all transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail for booking and incarceration.
