Albizu D. Castro, 42 years of age, Address- Arenz St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/18/2015 @ 7:55 am.


Charge:  Warrant- Simple Battery
     Albizu Castro was arrested at his residence on an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in September 2015, which alleges Castro went to a residence on Railroad Ave. and committed a battery on an individual. Castro was booked and incarcerated.

Tagger Rosson, 18 years of age, Address- Dawn Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/18/2015 @ 1:43 pm. 


Charge:  Warrant- Simple Battery

    Tagger Rosson turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held. The warrant stems from an incident in September 2015, which alleges Rosson committed a battery on a male juvenile in the area of fair grounds of the Louisiana Shrimp and Petrolem Festival. Rosson was booked and later released on bail.

Rebecca A. Desormeaux, 53 years of age, Address- Cedar St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/19/2015 @ 2:26 am. 


Charge:  Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated

     Rebecca Desormeaux was involved in a vehicle crash in the area of LA Hwy 182 near Florence St. Upon explaining the events of the crash, the officer could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from Desormeaux's breath. Desormeaux was asked to perform the Standardized Field Soberity Test, which she performed poorly, Desormeaux was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Desormeaux was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication. Desormeaux results indicated a .104 g% of blood alcohol content.  Dosormeaux was then charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. She was booked and incarcerated.

Timothy G. Francis, 28 years of age, Address- Greenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/19/2015 @ 10:35 am.

Natalie Branton, 31 years of age, Address- Greenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/19/2015 @ 10:38 am. 


Charge:  Domestic Abuse Battery (2nd Offense)

    Officers were dispatched to a residence on Greenwood St. in regards to a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived, they spoke to Natalie Branton. According to reports, Branton stated that she and her boyfriend, Timothy Francis had gotten into a verbal altercation which later turned physical. Branton stated Francis had left the residence. A description of Francis was given out and officers located him in the area of Kentucky St., but when Francis noticed officers, he began to flee. Francis was apprehended a short time later. Francis did state that he and Branton had gotten into a physical alteration at the residence. Both Francis and Branton was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Kacy L. Norman, 30 years of age, Address- Plaquemine, La. was arrested on 09/19/2015 @ 3:01 pm.


Charge:  Possession of Sch II CDS Methamphetamine

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Levee Rd and Federal Ave. in regards to a suspicious individual in the area involved in illegal drug activity.  A description of the individual was given out and officers located the female identified as Kacy Norman in the area of Levee Rd. During the course of the investigation, suspected methamphetamine  was located in Norman's possession. Norman was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Tyler A. Palmature, 18 years of age, Address- Willow St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/20/2015 @ 1:13 am. 


Charge:  Underage Driving While Intoxicated
                Improper Lane Usuage

     A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 70 near Fig St. observed a vehicle swerving in the roadway. The vehicle was stopped to investigate. The driver, Tyler Palmature was asked to produce a valid driver's license. While talking to Palmature, the officer could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from Palmature's breath. Palmature was asked to conduct the Standardized Field Soberity Test, which he performed poorly. Palmature was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Palmature was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication. Palmature results indicated a .165 g% blood alcohol content. Palmature was charged with Underage Driving While Intoxicated. He was booked and incarcerated.

Stephanie M. Harvey, 36 years of age, Address- Cane St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/20/2015 @ 11:29 am. 


Charge:  Warrant- Unauthorized Use of an Access Card

     Stephaine Harvey turned herself in to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant she held. The warrant stems from an incident in June 2015, which alleges Harvey made an unauthorized purchase on a debit card in the amount of $18.99.  Harvey was booked and later released on bail.

Hilton Banks, 27 years of age, Address- Marrero, La. was arrested on 09/20/2015 @ 10:40 am.

                Driving Wrong Way on a One Way Roadway 

     A patrol officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Bowman St. observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Federal Ave. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Hilton Banks was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Banks' driver's license was under suspension. Banks was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Raul N. Ortiz, 53 years of age, Address- Bowman St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/20/2015 @ 1:35 pm.


Charge:  Warrant- Failure to Appear (2cts)

     Raul Ortiz was located in the area of Elm and Sixth St.  A local warrants check was done on Ortiz and it was determined that he held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Ortiz was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Micah Soilaeu, 18 years of age, Address-Patterson,La. was arrested on 09/16/2015 @5:00 pm.



Charges: Disturbing the Peace

     Officers were called to a local medical office after a disturbance took place.  Officers spoke with the subject involved in the disturbance identified as Micah Soilaeu.  Soilaeu stated that he wanted to get his prescription refilled, but stated that they refused to do so.  Officer then spoke with office personnel who stated that Soilaeu could not get a refill until 30 days.  Soilaeu was informed that he needed to leave the office, but stated that he would not until he got a new prescription.  Soilaeu was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Ray C. Granger, 28 years of age, Address- Cafferay St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 09/14/2015 @ 2:40 pm.  


Charge:  Warrant- Failure to Pay Fines (3cts)

     Ray Granger was transported from the Law Enforcement Center in Centerville, La. to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Granger was booked and incarcerated.

Curtis R. Robinson, 45 years of age, Address- Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/14/2015 @ 7:34 pm. 


Charge:  Taking Contraband to/from Penal Institution

     Curtis Robinson was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail, when a correction officer noticed him trying to conceal an object. Upon searching Robinson, the officer found tobacco products in Robinson's possession. Robinson was booked and continues to be incarcerated.

Carl W. Allen Jr., 24 years of age, Address-Park Rd. Patterson, La. was arrested on 09/14/2015 @ 7:50 pm.

    Carl Allen was located by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division in Verdunville, La. and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant is in connection with Operation April Fool, in which Allen was charged with Distribution of Crack Cocaine. Allen also held warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Allen was booked and incarcerated.

Darryl J. LaGarde, 56 years of age, Address-Houma, La. was arrested on 09/14/2015 @ 9:15 pm.

     An officer in the area of Eleventh St. and Railroad Ave. observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Darryl LaGarde was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that LaGarde's driver's license was under suspension. LaGarde also held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. LaGarde was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Christina L. Pitre, 36 years of age, Address- Sixth St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 09/14/2015 @ 9:29 pm.


Charge:  Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information
                Handicapped Parking Zone

     A patrol officer was dispatched to a local business on LA Hwy 182 for a vehicle parked in a handicap zone without any handicap plates.  The officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle, Christina Pitre and she was given a citation. A short time later, the officer noticed the name on the citation was different from the name signed on the ticket. The officer was able to locate Pitre and according to reports, she admitted to giving a false name to the officer. Pitre was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

     A patrol officer in the area of the US 90 Federal Ave. down ramp observed a driver in a vehicle not wearing a seat belt. The vehicle was stopped to investigate.  The driver, Darby Smith was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  It was determined that Smith's driver's license was under suspension. Darby was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Wayne M. Escort, 27 years of age, Address- Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/15/2015 @ 2:16 am.

     A patrol officer in the area of Elk St. and Victor II Blvd. observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal and noticed the driver was not wearing a seat belt.  A vehicle stop was conducted and upon the officer approaching, the driver, Wayne Escort began to flee. Officers observed Escort running through backyards of residences in the area, before being apprehended. Escort was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. Also, a computer check revealed that Escort did not have a driver's license.

     Micah Soileau while in the City Court of Morgan City, disrupted court proceeding and became combative with the City Marshal. Soileau was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail and was addtionally charged. Soileau was booked and continues to be incarcerated.

Brennan W. Cubbedge, 17 years of age, Address-Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/17/2015 @ 5:22 pm.

     Brennan Cubbedge was arrested at his residence for an active warrant he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in September of 2015, which alleges that Cubbedge committed a battery on a male juvenile in the area of the fair grounds of the Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival. Cubbedge was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. He was later released on bail.

   Cynthia Duval turned herself in on an active warrant she held for the Morgan City Police Department. Duval was booked and later released on bail.

     A patrol officer in the area of LA Hwy 182 near Myrtle St. observed a vehicle without any headlights on. The vehicle was stopped to investigate.  As the officer approached the driver, he began to flee. The driver identified as Jarred Hope was apprehended a short time later and placed under arrest. A computer check revealed that Hope's driver's license was under suspension. Hope also held an active warrant for the 16th Judicial District Court. Hope was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Gary D. Moore, 26 years of age, Address- Porter, OK was arrested on 09/17/2015 @ 8:10 pm.


Charge:  Driving While Intoxicated
                Careless Operation with an Accident

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Fifth St. and Brashear Ave. in regards to a two car vehicle crash. When officers arrived they spoke to one of the drivers, Gary Moore. According to reports, Moore stated that he was headed east in the westbound lane of Brashear Ave. While speaking to Moore, the officer could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Moore was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Moore was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication. Moore's test  resulted in a .197 g% blood alcohol content. Moore was then charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Moore was booked and incarcerated.

Traylon A. Grogan, 23 years of age, Address- Wren St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/17/2015 @ 8:33 pm.


Charge:  Warrant- Failure to Pay Probation Fee
                Remaining After Being Forbidden 

     Traylon Grogan was located in the Brownell Homes Housing Authority Property on  Wren St. A local warrants check was done on Grogan and it was determined that he held an active warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court. Also, it was learned Grogan is barred from all Housing Authority property. Grogan was placed under arrest an transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jason D. Nix, 34 years of age, Address- Laurel, MS was arrested on 09/17/2015 @ 9:19 pm. 


Charge:  Disturing the Peace Intoxicated 

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Glenwood St. in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived, they were told Jason Nix was causing a disturbance and needed to leave the residence. Officers made contact with Nix and could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Nix was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Amanda R. Lake, 33 years of age, Address- Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/17/2015 @ 9:49 pm.

     A patrol officer noticed a vehicle improperly parked in front of a closed business in the area of Second St. and Railroad Ave.  As the officer approached the vehicle, the officer noticed an individual sitting in the passenger seat. The officer made contact with the passenger, Amanda Lake and could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath. While speaking to Lake, the officer observed a glass pipe, which is commonly used to smoke ilegal narcotics was on floor of the vehicle where Lake was seating. Lake was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

                Violation of Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Law      The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted an investigation of illegal narcotics being sold from a residence on Everett St. With the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office, a search warrant was executed on the residence. Located in the residence were two individuals, Calvin Singleton and Tia Randle.  Items located in the residence were suspected cocaine, suspected marijuana, synthetic cannabinoids, pills identified as clonazepam, tramadol, hydrocodone/acetaminophen and items used to smoke illegal narcotics. US currency in the amount of $250.00 was also located. Both Singleton and Randle were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

     A patrol officer in the area of Roderick near Wychwood St. observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal. A traffic was conducted and the driver, Dantrell Garratt was asked to produce the proper paperwork for his vehicle. It was determined that Garrett's driver's license was under suspension. Garrett was placed under arrest. Inside the vehicle the officer located suspected marijuana and items used to smoke illegal narcotics. Garrett was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

    John Sanford was located at his residence on Fourth St. and placed under arrest for an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems for an incident in June of 2015, which alleges Sanford and a female victim had gotten into a physical altercation.     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Eleventh St. in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived, they were told that the individual that caused the disturbance had left walking on Railroad Ave. A description was given and officers located, Joseph Brown in the area of Railroad Ave. and Oak St. While talking to Brown, officers could smell an odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Brown was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, an officer located a pill identified as Alprazolem on Brown. Also, it was learned that Brown had given officers a false name, prior to being arrested. Warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court and the 16th Judicial District were discovered for Brown and he was additionally charged.

Alexis Nerve, 31 years of age, Adddress- Wren St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/12/2015 @ 3:25 pm.

                Theft of Goods

     Officers were dispatched to a local business on LA Hwy 182 in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived, they were told that an employee, Alexis Nerve had left the business and taken items without paying for them.The items totalled $6.15.  When the employee returned, she caused a disturbance.  Officers were able to located Nerve in the area of David Dr. Nerve was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jeffery A. McCracken, 50 years of age, Address-River Rd. Berwick, La. was arrested on 09/12/2015 @ 7:06 pm. 


Charge:  Appearing in Public Intoxicated

    Officers were dispatched to the area of Ditch Ave. in regards to an individual laying on the ground. Officers arrived and made contact with Jeffery McCracken.  McCracken appeared intoxicated and had a smell of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. McCracken was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

    A patrol officer in the area of LA 70 and the US 90 junction observed a vehicle fail use a turn signal. A traffic was conducted and the driver, Casey Reeves  was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Reeves' license was under suspension. Reeves was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Departmen for booking and incarceration.

    Jeremy LaCarte was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a traffic stop. A warrants check was done on LaCarte and it was determined that he held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Guidry also held warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court and the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Guidry was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Derrick J. Jones, 33 years of age, Address-Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/13/2015 @ 7:27 am.

                Disturbing the Peace

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Egle St. in regards to a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived, the victim explained that Derrick Jones had struck her in the face.  Officers did notice marks in the victim's face consistent with her statment. Jones was located outside the residence and was using profanities in the presence of  the neighbors and children in the area. According to reports, Jones did admit to pushing the victim. Jones was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
