Chadrick T Powell was transported from the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office Jail to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to two active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Powell was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
Kourtney N Bergeron, 28 years of age, Address: Barrow St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/05/2016 @ 3:04pm. Charge: Disturbing the Peace
Officers responded to a local business on Second St. in regard to a female causing a distubance. The officers arrived where they spoke with several business employees and customers who told officers that Kourtney N Bergeron who left the area prior to officer's arrival was inside the business minutes earlier yelling using profane language at several people inside. A description was provided when Bergeron was located by officers moments later. Bergeron was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.
Cindy Sanders, 45 years of age, Address: Tall Tembers Dr. Patterson, La. was arrested on 08/05/2016 @ 9:55pm. Charges: Improper Lighting
Driving While Intoxicated
A patrolling officers observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Federal Ave. near Everette Street with no headlights. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Cindy Sanders. While speaking with Sanders about the traffic infraction, Sanders was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. Sanders was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for futher chemical testing where Sanders submitted to the Intoxilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol conentration of .117 grams percent. Sanders was placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Jail where she was incarcerated.
Gary M Cheramie, 33 years of age, Address: Front St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/06/2016 @ 12:28pm. Charge: Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Intrumentalities
Officers with the Morgan City Police Department along with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's office responded to a residence on Front Street in regard to shots being fired inside the residence. The officers arrived when they spoke with family members of Gary M Cheramie who told officers that Cheramie had fired several shots inside the residence when family members evacuated the residence without injuries. Officers eventually located Cheramie inside the residence at which time Cheramie was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Sidney Bourque, 61 years of age, Address: Vivian St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/07/2016 @ 1:29am. Charges: Improper Lane Usage

Warrant - Home Improvement Fraud
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on U.S. 90 crossing out of its lane of travel several times. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle identified as Sidney Bourque. While speaking with Bourque about the infraction, Bourque was suspected to have been drinking and was believed to be intoxicated. A drivers license and warrant check was conducted when it was learned that Bourque had a suspected drivers license and that there was an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The arrest warrant had been obtained from an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police Detectives of an incident of alleged home improvement fraud reported on July 28, 2016. Bourgue was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing where Bourque submitted to the Intoxilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol concentration of .087 grams percent. Bourque was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws
Officers responded to the area of Greenwood Street near Brashear Ave. in regard to a call of a suspicios vehicle following a vehicle flashing its lights. A description of the vehicle was provided when officers located a vehicle matching the description in the area moments later. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Patrick J Lemoine. During an investigaiton, Lemoine's behavior arroused the officer's suspicions that Lemoine may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when officers located suspected marijuana which was believed to be intended for distribution. The location of the incident was within the area of a local school in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Lemoine was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Gregorio Vazquez Ramirez, 33 years of age, Address: Distch Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/07/2016 @ 6:45am. Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery
Officers responded to a residence on Ditch Ave. in regard to a call of a disturbance. The officers arrived when they located a female who showed signs of a battery and Gregorio Vazquez Ramirez. Officers were told that the female and Ramiraz were involved in an argument when Ramiraz committed a battery on the female. During an investigation, reports indicate that officers uncovered evidence of the alleged battery. Ramirez was placed under arrest and transproted to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Ricky D Pillaro, 60 years of age, Address: First St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/07/2016 @ 1:40pm. Charges: Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle

Ricky D Pillaro was identified as the driver of a vehicle involved in a minor vehicle accident in the area of Jennie Drive. During the investigation, a drivers license check revealed that Pillaro had a suspended drivers license. Pillaro was placed under arrest and trasnponsported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
Craig S. French, 47 years of age, Address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/07/2016 @ 11:22pm. Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery
Officers responded to a residence on Railroad Ave. in regard to a reported disturbance. Officers arrived when they located a female who showed signs of a battery and Graig S. French inside the residence. The female told officers that French became angry and for unknown reasons attacked and committed a battery on her. During an investigation, reports indicate that officers uncovered evidence of the alleged battery. French was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
