Ricky J. Mire Jr., 33 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/14/2014 @ 9:10am

Charge: Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Drivers License

      A patrolling officer observed a driver, Ricky Mire Jr. operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license in the area of Front St. near Levee Rd.  The officer stopped the vehicle and made contact with Mire who advised that he was aware that his license was indeed suspended.  Mire was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

 Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicous subject in the area of Colonial Plaza shopping center and arrived to investigate.  The officer located the subject in question and identified him as George Patin Jr. who was discovered to be wanted on an outstanding warrant.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Melvin East was arrested at the City Court of Morgan City for contempt of court and escorted to the Morgan City Jail facility where he was booked and remains incarcerated. 

 

 

Wayne C. Blanchard, 45 years of age, Address-Federal Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/14/2014 @ 3:21pm

A patrolling officer detained a vehicle in regards to a traffic violation in the area of Federal Ave. and Marshall St.  Upon coming into contact with the driver and passenger, identified as Wayne Blanchard, officers detected both subjects were nervous and investigated.  The passenger, Wayne Blanchard was found to be in possession of Schedule II CDS-Methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

 

 

Nicole Fisher, 42 years of age, Address-Patterson, La. was arrested on 08/14/2014 @ 2:25pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine

Nicole Fisher was arrested at the City Court facility in Morgan City on an outstanding warrant.  She was escorted to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and released after posting a cash bond. 

 

 

Shanita M. Watts, 36 years of age, Address-Barrow St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/14/2014 @ 5:22pm

Charge: Theft of Goods (Value $59.53)

Officers responded to a complaint of a female shoplifter at a Highway 182 department store.  Officers arrived in the area and were provided with a description of the suspects and the vehicle.  Officers located the vehicle on Highway 182 a short time later and identified the suspect as Shanita Watts who after being advised of her Miranda Rights admitted to officers that she had committed the theft of clothing valued at $59.53 from the store.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and released after posting a cash bond. 

 

 

Wayne S. Hill, 55 years of age, Address-Levee Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/14/2014 @ 7:38pm

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense; Driving Under Suspension; Careless Operation

Officers were dispatched to the area of Lake End Park in Morgan City in regards to a reckless driver.  Officers enroute to the scene gathered additional information which indicated that the vehicle had rolled over, landing back on it's wheels and was attempting to continue to travel.  Officers arrived and were directed to a vehicle, which displayed heavy damage attempting to leave the scene while traveling on damaged wheels and tires.  Officers managed to stop the vehicle and detain the driver, Wayne HIll who was slightly injured.  Hill advised officers that he had indeed rolled his vehicle.  The officers detected that Hill displayed signs of impairment and conducted a field sobriety test which he failed.  Hill was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he refused to provide a sample for the Intoxilyzer 5000 test.  Hill, who was also found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license was booked and incarcerated into the Morgan City Jail facility after receiving treatment for his injuries.  He remains incarcerated.

Charge: Warrant: Cruelty to the Infirmed; Warrant: Exploitation of the Infirmed; Warrant: Unauthorized Use of an Access Card

Morgan City Police Detectives arrested a second suspect, Heaven Daigle on warrants which stemmed from an investigation which detectives began on January 2014.  In that investigation, it is alleged that Heaven Daigle and a second subject, Bethany Daigle which had previously been arrested, were charged with the care of an elderly female victim.  It is alleged that the suspects refused proper medical and physical care to the victim which left the victim in a severely frail state.  The conditions were found to be unsanitary and a danger to the victim.  It is also alleged that the suspects used the victims bank card to commit the theft of over $2,835.26 by fraudulent purchases and charges.  Daigle was located near Sixth St. and Gen McArthur by detectives and placed under arrest on the outstanding warrant.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and remains incarcerated.  There are no other suspects identified at this time, however the incident remains under investigation.

Kedesha Scott was transported to the Morgan City Police Department jail facility from LEC in Centerville, La. where she was booked and incarcerated on an outstanding warrant from the Patterson Police Department.  She remains incarcerated. 

 

 

Joseph A. Acosta, 22 years of age, Address-Grove St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/11/2014 @ 7:43pm

Charge: Warrant: Reckless Operation of a Moving Vehicle; Littering

Officers investigating a complaint came into contact with Joseph Acosta at his residence.  Acosta was discovered to be wanted on outstanding warrants for St. Martin Parish Authorities and was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Departmetn where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Robert E. Williams, 19 years of age, Address-Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/12/2014 @ 12:09am

Charge: Possession of Marijuana 1st Offense; Resisting an Officer

A  patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven in a reckless manner in the area of Egle St. and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  Upon making contact with the driver and passenger, Robert E. Williams, officers learned that the subjects may be in possession of Marijuana, a controlled substance.  As officers contacted the passenger Williams, he was observed to have a celophane bag tucked in his waistband and was detained.  As the officer attempted to retrieve the item, Williams attmpted to pull from the officers grasp and had to be physically restrained to recover the evidence.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Arrest Report 08/05/2014

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 08/4/2014:

 

 

Christopher Hatfield, 42 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/04/2014 @ 5:30am

Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery; Criminal Damage to Property

     Officers were dispatched to a Brashear Ave. address in regards to a domestic complaint.  Officers arrived and were advised by a female victim that she was involved in an altercation with Christopher Hatfield and during the altercation, Hatfield struck the victim and damaged a cell phone.  The officer gathered evidence which cooberated the statement and was able to locate Hatfield a short distance away from the residence.  Hatfield was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Driver License; Improper Lighting

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle with  non functioning brake lights on Federal Ave. and stopped the vehicle to speak with the driver.  The driver, Kebe Ennis was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Serving Time:Driving Under Suspension, Child Restraint Violation; Imroper Turning;  Warrant: Terrebone Parish Authorities-Domestic Battery

Joseph Soto was transported to the Morgan City Police Department to serve time on outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department as well as a warrant for Terrebone Parish authorities.  He was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Julia A. Johnson, 28 years of age, Address-Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/04/2014 @ 10:50am

Charge: Simple Escape, Possession of a Legend Drug-Intuniv; Warrant: 2 Counts-St. Mary Parish:Failure to Comply with Drug Court

A patrolling officer observed Julia Johnson in the area of Garber St. and was aware of outstanding warrants for St. Mary Parish for failure to comply with terms of drug court.  The officer detained Johnson  and advised her of the warrants and placed her under arrest.  After escorting the subject to the unit for transport, the subject became combative and began to resist.  The subject began to flee from the officer and was able to partially break free from the handcuffs.  The officer was able to capture the subject who continued to resist.  Johnson was eventually subdued and placed in the rear of a police unit and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.  Upon arrival at the police department, Johnson made attempts to free herself from the restraints.  She was also found to be in possession of a Legend Drug-Intuniv without a prescription.  She was booked and incarcerated.

Gary Johnson was located by officers on Short St. Alley and placed under arrest for outstanding warrants for Department of Probation and Parole for probation violation.  Johnson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Brenda Blackenburg, 49 years of age, Address-Elaine St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/04/2014 @ 2:02pm

Charge: Theft of Goods (Value $9.67); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2nd Offense)

Officers were dispatched to a Highway 182 supermarket in regards to a shoplifter.  Officers arrived and were advised by management that a female had been detained after she attempted to leave the premises without paying for $9.67 in goods.  The items were recovered.  The officer placed Blackenburg under arrest and located a pipe commonly used to ingest illegal narcotics in her possession.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Bethany R. Daigle, 22 years of age, Address-Arenz St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/04/2014 @ 5:15pm

Charge: Warrant: Cruelty to the Infirm; Warrant: Exploitation of the Infirm; Warrant: Unauthorized Use of an Access Card (Value $2,835.26)Felony

     On January 11, 2104, Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department began in investigation into cruetly to the infirmed.  Detectives investigating the complaint gathered evidence which indicated that subjects charged in the care of a 54 year old, infirmed female were alleged to have refused care, food and other needs which led to the female becoming severely malnourished and dehydrated.  A suspect, identified as Bethany Daigle was also accused of using the victims access card to commit the theft of $2,835.26 from the victim without her knowledge.  The victim in the incident was found in a malnourished  and dehydrated condition.  The living conditions were found to be unsanitary and unclean as if no assistance was provided for the victims care.  The victim, ultimately received the proper care and medical treatment after the incident was discovered.  
     On August 04, 2014, Detectives made contact with the suspect, Bethany Daigle and placed her under arrest on the outstanding warrants.  The investigation is continuing and additional arrests are expected.

Officers responded to a domestic complaint at a Cypress St. residence.  While investigating the complaint, a female, Doresa Bland allegedly struck a male subject in the chest.  Bland was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Joseph P. Percle, 27 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/12/2014 @ 8:00pm

Shantell Thomas was located by a patrolling officer near Brashear Ave. and Sixth St. and arrested on an outstanding warrant for the City Court of Morgan City.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Anthony L. Watson Jr., 23 years of age, Address-Barrow St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/08/2014 @ 3:35pm

Charge: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana (2nd Offense); Illegal Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of CDS

Officers responded to a domestic dispute at a Barrow St. residence.  After officers arrived to investigate the complaint, the observed illegal narcotics in plain view inside the residence.  Detectives were summoned and a search warrant for the residence obtained.  During the search, officers located suspected marijuana along with a .380 cal. handgun which was also seized.  The subject and resident, Anthony Watson Jr. was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated.

Joseph Percle was transported to the Morgan City Jail facility from the Law Enforcement Center to be booked on an outstanding warrant for the City Court of Morgan City.  He was booked and remains incarcerated. 

 

 

Joseph O. Robertson, 48 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/08/2014 @ 10:44pm

Officers investigating a suspected theft at a Highway 182 convenience store were advised of a possible theft and suspect who had left the premises.  Officers located the suspect at a Highway 182 motel and identified him as Joseph O. Robertson.  While investigating the theft, officers located suspected marijuana and items of paraphernalia in the possession of Robertson.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. No evidence was recovered which implicated Robertson in a theft. 

 

 

Jermoud E. Watts, 24 years of age, Address-Brashear Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/09/2014 @ 8:33am

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-Theft; Warrant: Probation and Parole; Resisting an Officer by False Information; Possession of Schedule II CDS-Cocaine (2nd Offense); Obstruction of Justice

A patrolling officer observed a male subject, Jermoud Watts in the area of Fifth St. and Brashear Ave. and was aware of an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  The officer detained Watts who provided the officer with a ficticious name in order to conceal his identity.  Watts was eventually positively identified and placed under arrest on the outstanding warrants.  Watts was placed in the rear of a police unit for transport to the Morgan City Police Department.  While in the police unit, Watts attempted to discard a celophane bag which was found to contain suspected crack cocaine.  The bag was seized and Watts was additionally charged. He was booked and incarcerated.

A patrolling officer observed Matthew Miller in the area of the 200 block of Federal Ave. and was aware of outstanding warrants.  The officer approached Miller and attempted to detain him, however, Miller fled on foot from the officer and a chase ensued.  Miller was located hiding under an RV in the area and placed under arrest.  He was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he remains incarcerated.

Officers responded to a domestic complaint at a Fifth St. residence and came into contact with a male subject, Courtland Carter.  It was determined that Carter was wanted on an outstanding warrant for Contempt of Court-Failure to Pay Child Support for the 16th Judicial District Court.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Clifton J. Martin, 51 years of age, Address-Levee Rd.  Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/09/2014 @ 2:34pm

Charge: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana

Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious subject at Lake End Park in Morgan City.   As officers arrived and approached the subject, the subject was observed attempting to conceal a celophane bag inside his vehicle.  The officers recovered the bag and found it to contain suspected marijuana.  Martin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle make an improper turn in the area of Cottonwood St. and Highway 182 and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Glenn Loyd could not produce a valid drivers license and was discovered to be driving with a suspended drivers license.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Officers received a complaint of two subjects who appeared intoxicated in the traffic lanes of Highway 182 near Roderick St. who had almost been struck by a vehicle.  The officers located the subjects in the area and found the subjects to be intoxicated.  The subjects, Michael Forristal and John Ross were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven in a careless manner in the area of Highway 182 and Eleventh St. and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver of the vehicle, a Honduran male, Norvin Butirres could not provide a valid drivers license and was arrested.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle in the area of Sixth St. and Brashear Ave. which displayed switched license plates.   The officers stopped the vehicle and detained the driver, Frank Adams who could not produce a valid drivers license and was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Donvin W. Mingo, 39 years of age, Address-First. St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/10/2014 @ 3:22pm

Charge: No Driver License; Improper Turning; No Motor Vehicle Insurance

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle make an improper turn in the area of Orange St. and Federal Ave. and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The officer determined the driver, Donvin Mingo did not have a valid drivers license nor motor vehicle liability insurance as required. Mingo was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.  He was released after posting a cash bond. 

 

 

Rachel L. King, 30 years of age, Address-Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 08/10/2014 @ 11:26pm

Charge: Remaining where Forbidden; Resisting an Officer; Possession of Schedule IV CDS-Alprazolam; Appearing in Public Intoxicated

Officers were summoned to a Highway 182 Lounge in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and were advised that a female had caused a disturbance and refused to leave the premises.  Officers located the suspected female and while speaking to her, she began to become belligerent, yell profanities and causing a disturbance.  As officers attempted to place the female, Rachal King under arrest, she began to struggle with officers and had to be physically restrained.  Upon her arrest, King was found to be in possession of a pill identified as Alprazolam, a Schedule IV CDS and was addtionally charged.  He was booked and incarcerated.

     Jerome Loupe was located at an Aucoin St. residence and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for Assumption Parish authorities.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

Brandon L. Grant, 39 years of age, Address-Utah St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 08/03/2014 @ 9:17pm

Charge: Entry on Premisis after being Forbid

     Officers were dispatched to a Highway 182 motel to remove a subject.  Officers encountered and removed Brandon Grant from the premises and advised him not to return.  The subject left but later returned to the property at which time management summoned police.  Grant was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
