Charge: Entry/Remaining where Forbidden; Simple Assault

     Officers were dispatched to a Second St. residence located in the 1400 block in regards to a disturbance.  Officers arrived and learned that Sabrina Darby was reportedly causing the disturbance and refused to leave the premises when asked.  Officers made attempts to give Sabrina Darby the opportunity to leave the premises, however she refused and began to make threats of physical harm to the resident.  Darby was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

     Wayne Hill turned himself in at the Morgan City Police Department and was booked on an outstanding warrant.  He was booked and incarcerated with a bond of $5000.00.

Charge: Warrant: Theft of Goods (Value $294.80)

          Leonard Yarborough, who was presently incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail facility regarding a theft was additionally booked on a warrant secured by detectives accusing Yarborough of a theft of electrical related products from a Highway 182 hardware store.  Yarborough was identified through the use of video surveillence in the theft which took place on September 06, 2014.  The value of the items was determined to be $294.80.  He was booked and remains incarcerated.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

     Officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a Highway 182 RV park and located Jarvis Allemond striking the outside of an RV camper with a large stick.  Allemond was ordered to drop the weapon and complied with officers requests.  According to witnesses, Allemond became agitated when asked to leave the premises and began to strike the RV.  Allemond, who appeared impaired was arrested for the disturbance and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.  He was released after posting a cash bond.

Charge: Simple Battery

     Kenneth Rollins was arrested after a complainant accused Rollins of attacking him in a Highway 182 parking lot.  Officers located witnesses who confirmed the victims statements that Rollins attacked the victim, striking the victim several times.  Officers had encountered the subjects earlier in the day and ordered the subjects to stay away from each other, however, according to witnesses, Rollins returned and struck the victim.  The victim then traveled to the Morgan City Police Department where he advised officers.  Rollins was located and  placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan Ctiy Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Lashwawn Antoine and Marjorie Ruffin, who were incarcerated in the Morgan City Police Department Jail facility were arrested and charged after they became involved in a physical encounter while incarcerated.  Both subjects were booked and remain incarcerated.

Charge: Possession of Schedule II CDs-Fentanyl/Morphine

     Officers were dispatched to a Highway 182 convenience store in regards to suspected drug activity.  Officers arrived and located a subject, Craig Nini, who when approached by officers appeared extremely nervous.  Nini was questioned about why he was in the area.  A narcotics canine dog was utilized in a sweep of the suspect's vehicle.  The canine indicated the presence of the odor of illegal narcotics which resulted in a search of Nini's vehicle. Officers located a Fentanyl Patch, a Schedule II CDS in the subjects vehicle which the subject, Nini admitted possession.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Reckless Operation of a Moving Vehicle with Accident; No Drivers License on Person

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Grizzaffi St. and Highway 182 in regards to a driver of a vehicle chasing another vehicle.  Officers arrived and observed a vehicle being driven in a reckless manner and appeared to be involved in some type of disturbance or altercation with the driver of another vehicle.  Officers detained the occupants of both vehicles and learned through statements that the driver, Mykella Johnson had observed the complainant and attempted to follow the complainant's vehicle.  During the altercation, Johnson, according to witnesses operated her vehicle in a reckless manner, attempting to swerve into the complainants vehicle.  During the encounter, the complainants vehicle and Johnson's vehicle collided.  The encounter was confirmed by a passenger in the victim's vehicle.  Mykella Johnson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver of the vehicle, Shannon Johnson exhibited signs of impairment and was given a field sobriety test in which he did poorly on.  The subject, Johnson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he submitted to an Intoxilyzer 5000 test which indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .125g%.  Johnson, who has previously been convicted of a D.W.I. in 2009 was charged accordingly.  He was booked and incarcerated.

     An officer was dispatched to Highway 182 in regards to a vehicle being driven in a reckless manner.  The officer located the vehicle as described near Roderick St. and Highway 182 and stopped the vehicle after it was observed being driven in an erratic manner.  The driver, identified as Josue Reyes exhibited signs of impairment and was observed to have open containers of alcoholic beverage inside his vehicle.  Reyes could not produce a valid drivers license and records indicated that he was an unlicensed driver.  Reyes was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he submitted to an Intoxilyzer 5000 test which indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .238g%.  Reyes was booked and incarcerated.

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner in the area of Highway 182 near Duke St. after the vehicle pulled into the path of the unit, almost causing a collision.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Vernon Robin.  Robin was found to exhibit signs of impairment and also found to be in possession of open containers of alcoholic beverage in his vehicle.  Robin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he submitted to an Intoxilyzer 5000 test which indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .187g%.  Robin was booked and incarcerated.

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner in the area of Cottonwood St. and Highway 182 after the vehicle swerved into on coming traffic in front of the police unit.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Carloz Santos who could not produce a valid drivers license.  Santos, exhibited signs of impairment and could not complete a field sobriety test.  He was transported ot the Morgan City Police Department where he submitted to an Intoxilyzer 5000 test which indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .224g%.  He was booked and incarcerated.

     Ciera Thomas was located at a Highway 182 apartment complex and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for the Sixteenth Judicial District Court.  She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

     Officers were dispatched to a Third St. residence in regards to a suspicous subject.  Officers arrived and located the subject who was identified as Thomas Remedies.  Remedies was found to be impaired and also found to be in possession of synthetic marijuana which was also seized.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Bradley Talbert was arrested after officers were dispatched to the area of Franklin St. regarding a white male subject walking, screaming profanities and causing a disturbance.  Talbert was located in the area and identified as the subject.  Talbert exhibited signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Paul Cleveland was located at the Berwick Police Department and placed under arrest on oustanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  He was transported to the Morgan City Jail facility where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Keith A. Singleton, 45 years of age, Address-Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/16/2014 @ 2:24pm

Charge: Warrant: Felony Theft (Over $500.00)

     Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department began in investigation regarding a theft of a barbeque pit from a Florence St. residence which was reported to the Morgan City Police Department on September 06, 2014.  The victim was able to provide investigators with video surveillance recordings which led to the identification of Keith Singleton as a suspect in the theft.  Detectives, based on interviews and the video evidence provided were able to secure an arrest warrant for the theft of the barbeque pit which was valued at $750.00.  Detectives located Singleton at an Oak St. residence and placed him under arrest for the theft.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.  The item was not recovered however the investigation is continuing.

Charge: Attempted Theft (Under $500.00)

     Officers were dispatched to a Hwy 182 pharmacy in regards to a possible shoplifter.  Officers were advised that the subject had left the premises.  Officers located the subject as described by witnesses and identified him as Leonard Yarborough.  According to store personnel, Yarborough concealed bottles of alcoholic beverage and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items.  He was stopped by store personnel at which time he reportedly abandoned the items and left the premises.  Yarborough was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace; Resisting an Officer with Force; Criminal Damage to Property (Over $1,000.00); Public Intimidation

     Officers were dispatched to a Freret St. address regarding a disturbance and arrived to encounter a female attempting to clean up items from the front porch of the residence which were reportedly thrown during the disturbance.  As officers were speaking to the female, a male subject, Eric Swanson charged from the house and appeared to be agitated.  As the officer attempted to speak with Swanson, he turned, charged and attempted to strike the officer in the face.  The officer was able to fend off the attack and retrieve a Taser which according to reports, he then ordered Swanson to the ground.  Swanson refused and continued to attack the officer who deployed a Taser which incapacitated the subject.  The officer attempted to restrain Eric Swanson and place him into handcuffs as other officers arrived to assist.  Another male subject, Dillon Swanson charged from the house in a threatening manner towards officers breaking items as he moved towards the officers.  The officers ordered Dillon Swanson to cease.  He refused and had to be physically subdued and placed under arrest.  Both Dillon and Eric Swanson continued to threaten officers with harm.  As officers attempted to escort Eric Swanson to the police unit, he charged at officers again and was again subdued using a Taser.  He was placed in the rear of a police unit for transport to the Morgan City Police Department. Dillon Swanson, upon being escorted to the police unit, broke free from officers and kicked an unmarked police unit causing damages exceeding $1000.00.  He had to be physically restrained and placed in the rear of a marked unit.  Both subjects were transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were placed in a holding cell until they could be processed.  The remain incarcerated.

Charge: Create/Operate a Clandestine Laboratory for the Unlawful Manufacture of CDS; Create/Operate a Clandestine Lab for Unlawful Manufacture of CDS within 1000 ft. of a School Zone; Possession of a Schedule III CDS-Narco; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Obstruction of Justice; Resisting an Officer

     Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a Brashear Ave. motel room in response to information suggesting that subjects were attempting to manufacture methamphetamine, a controlled substance.  Investigators arrived with the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Narcotics Unit to execute the warrant and located a male and female inside the apartment.  Investigators uncovered a clandestine laboratory and summoned a hazardous material clean up crew to the scene.  Officers also located items of drug paraphernalia.  The male, identified as Charles Mitchell was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he attempted to destroy several pills of a Schedule III CDS-Narco which he had hidden in his buttocks.  Mitchell was restrianed and the items recovered for evidence.  The female,Amanda N. Francis-Martin was found to possess Acetaminophin Butalbital, a legend drug without a valid prescription and was additionally charged.  Martin, who was discovered to be pregnant was transported to the Mrogan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.  Additional charges may be pending, depending on the outcome of the investigation regarding the unborn child. Both subjects remain incarcerated with no bond yet set.
