Ricky Morse, 34 years of age, Address-Berwick, La. was arrested on 06/12/2015 @ 7:26 am. 


Charge : Speeding 41/30 
                 Driving Under Suspension
                 Possession of Sch I Marijuana
                 Possession of Drug Parapharnalia

    A patrolling officer in the area of Hwy 182 and Federal Ave, noticed a vehicle driving higher than the rate posted.  A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, Ricky Morse was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  It was determined that Morse's driver's license was under suspension. The officer also located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

John Ashmore, 44 years of age, Address-New Iberia, La. was arrested on 06/12/2015 @ 10:28 pm 



Charge: Appearing in Public Intoxicated

   Officers were dispatched to a local motel on Brashear Ave. in regards to having a subject removed. When officers arrived, witnesses pointed out the subject, John Ashmore.  Ashmore appeared very intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Bobbie J. Topham, 33 years of age, Address-Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/12/2015 @ 11:15 pm.


Charge:  Warrant: No Driver's License
                Warrant- No Tail Lights

   Bobbie Topham was located at a local bar on Hwy 182. A local warrants check was done and it was learned that she held outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Brittan M. Boudreaux, 31 years of age, Address- Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/12/2015 @ 11:49 pm. 


Charge: Resisting an Officer
               Criminal Trespass
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
               Warrant- Failure to Appear (2cts)
               Warrnt- Contempt of Court

   Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division attempted to make contact with Britten Broudreaux in the area of Fourth St. and Draket Ally, when he fled on foot.  Officers were able to subdue Boudreaux and located a pipe on him that is commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics. He also held outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court.  Boudreaux was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Doresa M. Bland, 25 years of age, Address- Cypress St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/13/2015 @ 2:26 pm.


Charge: Warrant- Failure to Pay Fine
               Warrant- Probation Violation

   Doresa Bland was located at the Morgan City Police Department. Bland held outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Bland was booked and incarcerated.

Pablo Navarrette-Ibarra, 25 years of age, Address-Austin, TX was arrested on 06/13/2015 @ 2:55 pm.

     Officers were dispatched to a local motel on Hwy 182 in regards to a subject harrassing the housekeepers and the patrons.  When officers arrived, officers were shown the room the subject was occupying. Inside the room was Pablo Navarrete-Ibarra. While officers were in the room, they noticed,  drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana in the room. Navarrete-Ibarra was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Cythnia A. Duval, 46 years of age, Address- Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/13/2015 @ 5:50 pm.


Charge: Hit & Run Driving
               Careless Operation
               Driving Under Suspension

    Officers were dispatched to Duke and Eighth St. in regards to a vehicle accident, in which one of the drivers had fled the scene.  When officers arrived, they spoke to the victim, who stated that he was making a stop at the intersection of Duke and Eighth St. when another vehicle crashed into the rear of his vehicle.  The driver of the other vehicle, Cynthia Duval returned to the scene. According to reports, she stated she was afraid and fled the scene.  Duval was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  It was determined that Duval's driver's license was under suspension, Duval was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Felicia Tharp, 39 years of age, Address-Ann St. Morgan City, La. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/13/2015 @ 10:44 pm.


Charge:  Possession Sch II CDS Methamphetamine
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     A patrolling officer in the area of Fifth St. and Brashear Ave. , noticed a vehicle with improper lighting.  A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, Shane Albert was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  The officer also noticed two passengers in the vehicle identified as Jacob Gil and Felicia Tharp. Albert was asked to give consent to search the vehicle, Albert did give  officers consent.  Officers found suspected methamphetamine, pills identified as Alprazolam and Amphtamine/dextromphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.  Gil was found to possess several packs of Suboxone. All subjects were place under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Deandra D. Johnson, 29 years of age, Address-Chester Bowels Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/14/2015 @ 5:16 pm.

Charles R. Brooks, 57 years of age, Address- Hwy 182 East Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/14/2015 @ 5:16 pm.

               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

    An officer patroling in the area of Ninth St. noticed a vehicle with the driver not wearing a seat belt.  A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  The driver, identified as Charles Brooks had given officers a false name. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Brooks' driver's license was under suspension. The passenger, Deandra Johnson, was found to have an outstanding warrant for the Sixteenth Judicial Court.  Officers also located suspected marijuana and drug parphernalia in in the vehicle.  Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Rigoberto Rosales-Castillo, 31 years of age, Address-Bush St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/15/2015 @ 3:09 am.


Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery

    Officers were dispatched to a residence on Bush St. in regards to a domestic disturbance.  Officers arrived and spoke to the the vicitm and she stated that she and Castillo had gotten into a physcial alteration, in which Castillo struck her in the face.  According to reports, officers did notice marks on the face of the victim.  Officers located Castillo in the residence, he was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Carlos Santos, 36 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/14/2015 @ 6:42 pm


Charge: Criminal Trespass

   Officers were dispatched to a local apartment complex on Hwy 182 in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived, managment stated that Carlos Santos was banned from the property.  Officers located Santos on the property, placed him under arrest and transported him to the Morgan City Police Department for booking a incarceration.

John R. Pitre, 24 years of age, Address- Gen. Hodges Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/14/2015 @ 11:47 pm.


Charge:  Disturbing the Peace
                Remaining After Being Forbidden

   Officers were dispatched to a residence on Gen. Hodges in regards to a disturbance.  When officers arrived, a witness stated that John Pitre was asked to leave the residence several times, but refused.  Officers made contact with Pitre, who appeared intoxicated.  Pitre then became loud and began using profanities. Officers placed Pitre under arrest and he was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Lance Ashmore, 21 years of age, Address-Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/10/2015 @ 9:35 am. 


Charge: Simple Criminal Damage to Property

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Fifth St. in regards to a disturbance.  When officers arrived, the vicitm stated that Lance Ashmore had gotten into a veberal altercation with another individual and during that altercation, Ashmore kicked her vehicle causing a damage to one of the vehicle's doors.  Ashmore was located placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Passion Harris, 18 years of age, Address-Garber St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/10/2015 @ 2:56 pm.


Charge:  Theft by Shoplifting(value $3.25)

      Officers were dispatched to a local store on Brashear Ave. in regards to a theft.  When officers arrived, an employee stated that a female had come into the store, concealed an item and left running out the store.  Through video surrveillance, the subject was identified as Passion Harris. Contact was made with Harris, who reported to the Morgan City Police Department. According to reports, Harris admitted to taking the item.  Harris was placed under arrest and booked.  She was later released on bail.

Chad M. Adams, 32 years of age, Address-Third St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/11/2015 @ 12:13 am. 


Charge:  Driving Under Suspension
                Two Tail Lights Required

    A patrolling officer in the area of Federal and Brashear Ave. noticed a vehicle with improper lighting. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, Chad Adams was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  Adams' driver's license was determined to be under suspension. Adams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 06/08/2015: 


Clay C. Broussard, 24 years of age, Address-Stephensville, La. was arrested on 06/08/2015 @ 9:12 am.


Charge:  Warrant- Forgery ($402.00)

    Clay Broussard was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on a warrant for Forgery.  The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by the Detective Division on June 1, 2015, which alleged that Broussard had taken checks from a local business, in which he was an employee, made them out to himself and then cashed the checks.  The checks totaled $402.00.  Brousssard was booked and incarcerated.

Lance C. Carbins, 39 years of age, Address- Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/08/2015 @ 2:45 pm.

     Lance Carbins was located at the Morgan City Police Department and placed under arrest for outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court.  Carbins was booked and incarcerated.

Sonya Mclemore, 25 years of age, Address-Joey St Patterson,La. was arrested @ 4:02 pm

Charges:  Simple Criminal Damage to Property
                  Criminal Mischief

       Sonya Mclemore who had been processed into the jail was arrested after she flushed a blanket in her cell.  This flooded her cell as well as several other nearby cells and caused water to leak from the 2ed floor of the jail into an office on the 1st floor.  The water caused damage to some items in the office below.  Mclemore remains incarcerated at this time.

Lamarcus Francois, 21 years of age, Address-Francis Street was arrested @9:13 am

Charges: Resisting an Officer
                 Obstructing Public Passage

     Officers on patrol in the area of Fifth St. observed a subject walking in the middle of the street talking on the phone.  As officer approached the subject, later identified as Lamarcus Francois he fled from officers.  After a short foot chase officer caught Francois, who stated that he ran from officers because he thought he had a warrant for his arrest.  Francois was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department jail for booking.

Dylan Keller,32 years of age, Address-Kem St. Patterson,La. was arrested @ 10:54 am 

Charges: Warrant-Hit and Run 
                  Warrant-Carless Operation
                  Warrant-No Insurance
      Dylan Keller was arrested after turning himself in at the Morgan City Police Department.  Keller was involved in a vehicle crash that occurred on February 12, 2015 in which he fled the scene.  Keller was booked into the Morgan City Police Department jail facility and later released after posting bond.

Michael L. Hickman, 23 years of age, Address-Sulphur, La. was arrested on 06/09/2015 @ 7:00 pm.

     Michael Hickman turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department for outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Hickman was booked and incarcerated.

Kanavia D. Jones, 29 years of age, Address-Birch St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/09/2015 @ 7:20 pm.

Latasha Jones, 33 years of age, Address-Guzzetta St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/09/2015 @ 7:20 pm.


Charge: Warrant- Contempt of Court Failure to Appear for Judgement Debtor Rule

     A patrolling officer in the area of Freret and Fifth St. noticed a vehicle with the driver not wearing a seat belt.  The officer stopped the vehicle to investigate. The driver, Kanavia Jones was asked to produce a valid driver's license. Also, a local warrants check was done Kanavia Jones and the passenger, Latasha Jones.  It was determined that Kanavia Jones' driver's license was under suspenion and Latasha Jones had an active warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court. Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Taylor Chaission, 19 years of age, Address-Southeast Blvd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/06/2015 @ 6:10 pm.


Charge:  Carnal Knoowledge of a Juvenile

     Taylor Chaisson turned himself into the Morgan City Police Department for an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  The warrant stems from an investigation started in May 2015, which alleges Chaisson had consensual sex with a junivenile. Chaisson was booked and incarcerated.

Taylor Murphy, 20 years of age, Address-Greenleaf Blvd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/06/2015 @ 9:27 pm.

     Taylor Murphy was transported from the Law Enforcement Center in Centerville, La. to the Morgan City Police for outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department and the Sixth Ward City Court.  Murphy was booked and incarcerated.

Cody M. Louiviere, 26 years of age, Address-New Iberia, La. was arrested on 06/07/2015 @ 5:23 pm

     Officers were dispatched to Lake End Park in regards to a disturbance.  Officers checked local warrants on the parties involved and determined that Cody Louviere held an outstanding warrant from Iberia Parish.  Louviere was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Robert L. Randolph, 47 years of age, Address- North Third St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 06/08/2015 @ 12:52 am.


Charge: Disturbing the Peace Offensive Language

     Officers were dispatched to a local bar on Hwy 182 in regards to someone causing a disturbance.  Employees of the business stated that Randolph, who had previously been banned from the business was using profanites against them and the customers.  Officers located Randolph and placed him under arrest.  Randolph was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
