Joshua Pojar,31 years of age, Address-Federal Ave, Morgan City,La. was arrested on 05/07/2015 @7:59 am.

Charges:Warrant-Distribution of Sch II(Suboxone)
                 Warrant-Conspiarcy to Introduce Contrabant into a Penal Facility
 
     Officer located Joshua Pojar at his residence and placed him under arrest for outstanding warrants.  The warrants stem from and investigation into items that were attempted to be smuggled into the Morgan City Police Department jail.  The items were discovered by corrections officers and the investigation was turned over to detectives.  Pojar was transported to the Morgan City Police Department and remains incarcerated.

Danny Deese, 32 years of age, Address-Heflin,Al. was arrested on 05/07/2015 @ 10:40 am.

Charges: Speeding( 50 in a 35)
                 No Drivers License
    A Patrol officer observed a vehicle speeding in the area of Hwy 182 and Eleventh St.  The officer determined by radar that the vehicle was speeding and conducted a traffic stop.  The driver identified as Danny Deese was also found not to have a valid driver's license. Deese was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for incarceration.

Rachel King,30 years of age, Address-Fifth St. Morgan City,La. was arrested on 05/07/2015 @10:42 pm.

Charges: Appearing in Public Intoxicated
                 Obstructing Public Passage
     Officers responded to a complaint in the area of Sixth St. near the Morgan City Jr. High School about a female in the middle of Sixth St. yelling and using profanity. The female later identified as Rachel King was located and officers found her to be in an intoxicated condition.  King was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for incarceration.

    A patrol officer observed a vehicle traveling on Hwy 182 cross in and out of his travel lane several times.  The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Trey Simoneaux.  Simoneaux was found to have a suspended drivers license and was found to have several outstanding warrants from the Patterson Police Department and the Sixteenth Judical District Court.  Simoneaux was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for incarceration.

John Johnson, 53 years of age, Address-Patterson, La, was arrested on 05/05/2015 @2:40 pm.

                  Warrant-FTA No Insurance
    A Patrol officer monitoring traffic in a school zone observed a vehicle which appeared to be speeding.  The officer verified that the vehicle was speeding with his radar unit and conducted a traffic stop.  The driver identified as John Johnson was found to have outstanding warrants from the Sixth Ward City Court of Morgan City.  Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.  Johnson was later released after posting a cash bond.

Jaquita Johnson, 25 years of age, Address-Patterson,La. was arrested on 05/05/2015 @ 4:01 pm.

Charges: Telephone Harassment
                  Simple Assault
                  Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling
    Officers responded to a residence to investigate a telephone harassment complaint.  When the officers arrived they could hear yelling coming from inside the residence.  Officer learned that the subject who had been calling the victim arrived at her residence and walked inside without being invited in.  The victim told officers that Jaquita Johnson had been calling her making threats to her, then arrived at her house and walked in and began yelling at her.  Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Stephen Bias, 50 years of age, Address- Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/01/2015 @ 9:32 am

     Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department conducted a investigation on April 18, 2015, in regards to Stephen Bias cashing a personal check at a local business.  Bias was located at his residence, where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

               Failure to Yield at Red Light
     A patrolling officer in the area of Seventh St. and Brashear Ave. noticed a vehicle fail to stop at the red traffic signal at that location.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Ciara Williams was asked to provide a valid driver's license. Through a computer check it was determined that Williams' licesnse was under suspension. Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Toya Hamm, 32 years of age, Address-Franklin, La. was arrested 05/01/2015 @ 11:09 pm


Charge: Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in Motor Vehicle
               Stop Sign Violation
               Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated

     A patrolling officer in the area of Sixth and Clothilde St. noticed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at that location.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Toya Hamm was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  While speaking to Hamm, the officer noticed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from Hamm's person. According to reports, the officer also noticed an open can of alcoholic beverage inside of her vehicle.  Hamm was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, she was asked to submit to the chemcial test for intoxication.  Hamm yielded a result of .147% BAC and she was then charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.  A computer check also revealed that Hamm had a prior conviction of DWI, making this charge the second offense.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Glenwood St. in regards to a disturbance.  When officers arrived they spoke to Kalab Wood, who told them that he and his girlfriend, Brittany Morgan had gotten into a verbal altercation.  Officers then talked to Morgan who also stated that she and Wood were arguing and had gotten very loud. Both Morgan and Wood were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Seventh St. in regards to a male urinating behind a building and female slumped over on a bench.  When officers arrived, they made contact with both subjects Fran Keller and William Leedy.  According to reports, officers could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on both Leedy and Keller. Leedy also admitted to urinating behind one of the buildings in the area.  Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Lucio Garcia, 30 years of age, Address- Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/03/2015 @  2:52 am 


Charge: Speeding
               No Driver's License
               Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated

     A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 182 near Cottonwood St. noticed a vehicle going faster than the posted speed limit.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Lucio Garcia was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  According to reports, Garcia stated he did not have a driver's license.  While speaking to Garcia, the officer could smel a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from Garica's person.  Garcia was asked to conduct a standard field soberity test, in which he did poorly.  Garcia was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Garcia was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication.  Garcia yielded a .174% BAC. He then charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Jemoud Watts, 24 years of age, Address- Apple St. was arrested on 05/03/2015 @ 6:59 pm

               Warrant: Failure to Appear (Contempt of Court)

   A patrolling officer in the area of Fifth and Everette St. noticed Jermoud Watts in the area.  The officer was aware of the outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. The officer made contact with Watts, placed him under arrest and transported him to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Sade Singleton, 25 years of age, Address- Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/03/2015 @ 11:02 pm

Charge: Theft (under $750.00)

     Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department started an investigation on April 30, 2015, in regards to an employee of a local business stealing money from the register.  According to reports, Sade Singleton would take money from customers purchases and not record the purchases on the register.  The amount totaled $57.00.  Singleton was located at her place of employment where she was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Michael A. Francois, 24 years of age, Address-Lawrence St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/062015 @ 11:37 am.


Charges: Vehicle with Required Equipment or in Unsafe Condition
                 Driving Under Suspension

     A patrolling officer in the area of Federal Ave. near Onstead St. observed a vehicle with a damaged windshield on the driver's side causing the driver's view to be obstructed. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The officer asked the driver, Michael Francios for his driver's license. Through a computer check it was determined that Francois' driver's license was under suspension. Francois was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.  He was later released on bond.

Janet M. Stonebraker, 18 years of age, Address- Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/06/2015 @ 5:17 pm.

Morgan A. Young, 31 years of age, Address- Lafayette, La. was arrested on 05/07/2015 @ 1:37am. 


Charge: Failure to Signal 100ft Prior to Intersection
               Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information
               Possession of Sch l CDS ( Marijuana)
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
               Warrant: Failure to Appear ( St. Mary Sheriff's Office)

     An officer in the area of Martin Luther King Blvd. noticed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal.  The officer conducted a traffic stop and the driver, Morgan Young was asked to produce a valid driver's license. According to reports, Young gave a fictitious name to officers and stated she did not have her license. Young later gave her proper identity and stated that she possibly has warrants.  A local warrant check was done on Young and an active warrant for the Sixteenth Judical Court was located and Young was placed under arrest.  Also officers located suspected marijuana and items commonly used to smoke suspected marijuana in the vehicle. Young was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

     Tracy Thomas turned herself into the Morgan City Police Department for an outstanding warrant  held for her arrest. Thomas was booked and incarcerated.

Flora D. Paddio, 45 years of age, Address- Freret St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/04/2015 @ 12:28 pm


Charge:  Switched License Plate
                 Insurance Violation
                 No Seat Belt

     A patrol officer in the area of Freret St. and Federal Ave. noticed a driver not wearing a safety belt. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Flora Paddio was asked to show her driver's license, proof of insurance and registration. According to reports, Paddio could not provide proof of insurance nor a valid registration for the vehicle.  Also, the license plate on the vehicle had been switched.  Paddio was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.  She was later released on bond.

Brandon L. Boudreaux, 29 years of age, Address-Lizabeth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/05/2015 @ 12:50 am

                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2nd Offense)
                Warrant: Failure to Appear  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
     Officers were dispatched to the area of Justa St. near Karen Dr. in regards to a male in the area causing a disturbance.  A description of the subject was given to the officers.  When officers located the subject, Brandon Boudreaux he was told why he was being stopped. A local warrants check was done on Boudreaux and it was learned that he held an active warrant through the Sixth Ward City Court. Also, officers located suspected synthetic marijuana on Boudreaux's person.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Alec Robinson, 18 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/30/2015 @ 8:59 am 


Charge: Warrant: Theft (under $750.00)

     The warrant stems from a April 22, 2015, incident in which a cell phone was reported stolen from the Morgan City High School.  According to reports, video surveillance was used to idenitfy Robinson as a suspect.  A warrant was then issued for Robinson's arrest. Officers were able to locate Robinson at Morgan City High School where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Lesile Skinner, 46 years of age, Address- Ramos St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/30/2015 @ 10:49 am


Charge: Warrant- Theft(under $750.00)

  The warrant stems from an incident that had taken place on April 15, 2015, in regards to a wallet reported stolen from a local business.  Through video surveillance, Skinner was named a suspect in the incident. Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department filed a warrant for Skinner's arrest.  Officers located Skinner at her residence where she was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Bryon McGraw, 42 years of age, Address- Houma, La. was arrested on 04/30/2015 @ 8:57 pm


Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Pecos St. in regards to a disturbance.  When officers arrived they spoke to the victim, who claimed her boyfriend, Byron McGraw had struck her in the face. According to reports, officers did notice marks consistant to the victim's statement.  Officers located McGraw inside of the residence and he stated that he and the victim did get into a verbal altercation. McGraw was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Hector Hernandez, 30 years of age, Address-Willard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/01/2015 @ 1:51 am

               Obstructing Public Passage

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Sixth St. and Brashear Ave in regards to a driver asleep at the wheel.  When officers arrived at the location, the driver, Hector Hernandez did appear to be sleeping.  When Hernandez noticed officers, he drove away from the location. Officers were able to stop the vehicle and have Hernandez exit.  Officers observed a strong odor achololic beverage emitting from his person. Hernandez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.  Once at the department, Hernandez was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication, in which he yielded a result of .206% BAC. Hernandez was then booked and incarcerated.
