The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 05/15/2015:  


Julio A. Marquez, 44 years of age, Address-Franklin St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/15/2015 @ 10:13 am.


Charge:  Hit and Run Driving
                No Driver's License

     Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Federal Ave. in regards to a hit and run vehicle accident.  When officers arrived, the owner of one of the vehicles stated that he was in his back yard when he heard a loud crash.  He proceeded to the front of his residence and noticed the rear of his vehicle damaged with a side mirror of another vehicle lying in the roadway. A witness stated that she noticed a small black vehicle crash into the victim's vehicle and proceed north on Federal Ave. Officers patrolled the area and noticed a small black vehicle on Franklin St. with fresh damage and a side view mirror missing. The driver of the vehicle, Julio Marquez was asked about the damage to his vehicle.  According to reports, he admitted to crashing into the vehicle, but stated he was afraid and did not stop.  Marquez also did not have a valid driver's license. Marquez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. He was later released on bond.

Felton Charles, 32 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/15/2015 @ 3:15 pm


Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery (3rd Offense)

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on South Railroad Ave. in regards to someone taking a cellphone. When officers arrived, the victim stated that Felton Charles had taken her cellphone and refused to return it.  Officers located Charles and he agreed to return the phone to the victim.  While returning the phone, Charles lunged towards the victim and struck her in the chest area.  Charles was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jeremie M. Paul, 24 years of age, Address-Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/16/2015 @ 3:49 pm.

Charge: Warrant- Failure to Pay Fine
               Hold for Probation and Parole

     Officers patrolling the area of Seventh St. near Clothilde St., noticed Jeremie Paul in the area. Officers was aware of active warrants for Paul's arrest.  Paul was stopped and told of the warrants. He was placed under arrest for warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court and violating probation for the Department of Corrections. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Zachary J. Rainey, 25 years of age, Address- Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/16/2015 @ 4:39 am.


Charge: Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Pecos and Glenwood St. in regards to a suspicious person in the area.  A description was given and officers located Zachary Rainey in the area.  According to reports, officers located suspected marijuana on Rainey. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Preston S. Cuvillier, 20 years of age, Address-Ditch Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/17/2015 @ 12:11 am. 


Charge: Two Tail Lamps Required
                Warrant-Failure to Appear for General Speed Law

     A patrol officer in the area of Brashear Ave., noticed a vehicle with improper lighting.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Preston Cuvillier was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  A local warrants check was done on Cuvillier and it was determined that he held an active warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. He was later released on bond.

Dalton G. Andras, 17 years of age, Address-Longville, La. was arrested on 05/17/2015 @ 2:23 pm. 


Charge: Loud Music From Vehicle
               Possession of Sch l CDS (marijuana-1st offense)
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     A patrol officer in the area of LA 182 near US 90 Junction, noticed a vehicle with extremely loud music coming from inside the vehicle.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Dalton Andras was asked to produce a valid driver's license. During the course of the investigation, the officer noticed tobacoo products in Andras' vehicle and considering Andras' age it was unlawful for him to possess those items.  The officer asked Andras for consent to search his vehicle and consent was given. The officer located suspected marijuana and a pipe commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics in the vehicle.  Andras was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. Andras was later released on bond.

Latasha L. Thomas, 28 years of age, Address-Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/17/2015 @ 10:12 pm.

     An officer in the area of Everette St. and Federal Ave., noticed a vehicle with no license plate displayed. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Latasha Thomas was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  Thomas stated to the officer that she believes her license is under suspension.  A computer check was done on her driver's license and it was determined that her license was suspended.  Thomas did not have the proper registration for the vehicle or insurance.  Thomas was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. Thomas was later released on bond.

Marcus D. Battle, 40 years of age, Address- Hickory St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/13/2015 @ 4:01 am.


Charge: Illegal Lighting on Vehicle
               No Driver's License
               Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle


     Officers were dispatched to the area of Hwy 182 near Florence St. in regard to a reckles driver.  A description of the vehicle was given and the officer was able to locate the vehicle near Florence St. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Marcus Battle was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  According to reports, Battle stated that he did not have a driver's licence.  Also, the officer noticed an open container of alocholic beverage inside of Battle's vehicle.  Battle was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Davonte Williams, 23 years of age, Address-Bowman St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/13/2015 @ 8:05 am.


Charge:  Speeding 26/15 (School Zone)
                Driving Under Suspension

     An officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Wise St. working radar, noticed a vehicle traveling a speed of 26 mph in a 15 mph school zone.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Davonte Williams was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  Through a computer check, it was determined that Williams' driver's license was under suspension. Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.  Williams was later released on bond.

Fernando Aguilar-Contreras, 29 years of age, Address-Houma, La. was arrested on 05/13/2015 @ 10:45 am.


Charge:  Unlawful Possession of Fraudulent Documents for Identification Purposes

     An officer was dispatched to the Office of Motor Vehicle in regard to a subject in possession of fraudulent documents. The officer spoke to an employee with the Office of Motor Vehicle and was told Augliar-Contreras was trying to obtain an Louisiana ID card  under a name and social sercurity number of someone who has already been issued a Louisiana ID. During the course of the investigation, the officer was able to locate a Mexican ID card that stated the name Fernando Aguliar-Contreras which was different from the name on the documents he had in his possession. Aguliar-Contreras was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Randy G. Clark, 28 years of age, Address-Friendship Ally Amelia, La. was arrested on 05/13/2015 @ 11:50 am.


Charge: Warrant-Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Forgery
                Warrant-Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Theft

      Randy Clark was located at the Morgan City Police Department and placed under arrest for outstanding warrants. The warrants stem from an incident on April 18, 2015, in which a stolen check was cashed at a local check cashing business. The Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division conducted an investigation and warrants were issued for Clark's arrest.  Clark was booked and incarcerated.

Hai Huynh, 58 years of age, Address-Houston, TX was arrested on 05/13/2015 @ 12:31 pm


Charge: No Driver's License
               Failure to Yield with Accident

     An officer was dispatched to the area of Federal Ave. and Greenwood St. in regad to a vehicle accicent.  Contact was made with Hai Huynh who stated that he did not yield to traffic on Federal Ave. causing his vehicle to crash into an approaching vehicle.  According to reports, Huynh was asked to produce a valid driver's license.  He stated he did not have a driver's license.  Huynh was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Blake M. Dinger, 22 years of age, Address-Neptune St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/13/2015 @ 3:10 pm.


Charge: Warrant-Theft($23.72)

     Blake Dinger came to the Morgan City Police Department to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and booked.  Dinger was later released on bond.

Carolyn Dillon, 43 years of age, Address-Belenger St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/13/2015 @ 4:00 pm.


Charge: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Belenger St. in regard to someone smoking illegal narcotics in the yard.  When officers arrived, they spoke to a witness that stated Carolyn Dillon had been smoking illegal narcotics and was in the back yard.  Officers located Dillon in the back yard, but did not notice any illegal narcotics.  According to reports, officers noticed a pipe commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics in Dillon's possession.  Dillon was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Desmon H. Cousin, 38 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/13/2015 @ 11:08 pm. 


Charge: Warrant- Felony Theft ($1191.30)

     Officers were dispatched to a residence in the Brownell Homes area in regard to a disturbance.  During the course of the investigation, a local warrants check was done on Desmon Cousin and it was learned he held outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department.  The warrant stems from a complaint on April 28, 2015, in which a stove and refrigerator was taken from a residence. Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department conducted an investigation and warrants was issued for Cousin's arrest.  Cousin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Gerald Jones, 40 years of age, Address-Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/11/2015 @ 6:53 am.


Charge: Warrant- Failure to Pay Fine
               Warrant - Probation Violation

     Officers in the area of Brashear Ave noticed Gerald Jones inside a vehicle. Officers were aware of active warrants held on Jones.  A traffic stop was conducted, Jones was placed under arrest for warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Frank R. Johnson, 48 years of age, Address-Maine St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/11/2015 @ 9:34 am.


Charge: Obsenity

     Officers received a complaint of possible obsenity in the 900 block of Railroad Ave. The victim stated that she noticed a male outside of her residence, who appeared to be urinating. According to reports, when the victim yelled at the suspect, he turned and showed his genitalia to the victim. Officers were given a description of the suspect and was able to locate a subject fitting the description in the area of Fifth St. Frank Johnson was asked had he exposed himself in the area of Railroad Ave., according to reports, Johnson did state his genitalia was exposed. Johnson was placed under arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Roger Garcia, 23 years of age, Address-Sixth St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 05/11/2015 @ 10:30 am.


Charge: Warrant-Theft (value $23.72)

     Roger Garcia was arrested by the Berwick Police Department for an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  Garcia was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Daniel Ulloa-Orellana, 57 years of age, Address- Jackson, MS was arrested on 05/11/2015 @ 1:01 pm.


Charge: Unlawful Possession of Fraudulent Documents for Identification Purposes

     Officers were dispatched to the Office of Motor Vehicles in regard to a subject using false documents. When officers arrived, an employee with the Office of Motor Vehicles stated that Daniel Ulloa-Orellana tried to obtain a Louisiana ID card with another name and a idenification card from Puerto Rico.  A computer check was done and it was determined that the name that Ulloa-Orellana was trying to use had already been issued an ID card to someone in Louisiana with that name and social security number.  Ulloa-Orellana was detained by officers and asked about the documents. According to reports, Ulloa-Orellana stated that he purchased the false documents in another state and was going to use the documents to get work.  Ulloa-Orellana was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and Incarceration.

Michael Crouch, 29 years of age, Address-Third St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/11/2015 @ 2:00 pm.

     Michael Crouch was already incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department Jail, an outstanding warrant from the Sixteenth Judical Court was placed for his arrest and he was booked and continues to be incarcerated.

               Improper Lane Usage

     A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 182 and US 90 Junction, noticed Kyle Rhett driving a vehicle. The officer was aware of Rhett's driver's license being suspended.  A traffic stop was conducted and Rhett was asked to produce the proper paperwook for the vehicle. A computer check comfirmed that Rhett driver's license was under suspension.  According to reports, the officer also noticed suspected marijuana in Rhett's vehicle.  Rhett was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Anthony P. Ruffin, 37 years of age, Address-Chestnut Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/14/2015 @ 6:53 pm.

Charge:  Possesssion of Sch ll CDS (cocaine) with Intent to Distribute
                Transactions Involving Proceeds from CDS Activity
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Violation of Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Law (Drug Free Zone)

     The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division along with the St. Mary Parish Sheriffi's Office Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at a residence on Chestnut Dr.  When officers arrived Ruffin was located and suspected cocaine was found on his person.  More suspected illegal narcotics were found in the residence along with drug paraphernalia.  Ruffin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Samantha M. Williams, 25 years of age, Address-Duke St. Morgan City, La. was arrested @ 2:45 pm.

Therina L. Russel, 40 years of age, Address- Duke St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/12/2015 @ 2:45 pm.

     Officers were dispatched to a Duke St. residence in regard to locating Samantha Williams and Therina Russel, subjects held outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court.  When officers arrived at the residence, both Williams and Russel were located and told of the warrants.  While inside of the residence, officers noticed suspected marijuana and a pipe commonly used to smoke suspected marijuana in Ruessel's bedroom.  Both subjects were placed under arrest and Russel was additionally charged with Possesssion of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

               Warrant- Failure to Return Leased Merchandise (Patterson PD)

     An officer in the area of Barrow St. near Federal Ave., noticed a vehicle fail to stop at the stop sign at that location.  The officer attempted to make a traffic stop, but the driver of the vehicle parked the vehicle near a residence and fled. Officers were able to apprehend the driver, Ciara Williams. A local warrants check was done on Williams and it was learned that she held outstanding warrants for Patterson Police Department. Williams was placed under arrest.  Officers searched Williams vehicle and located an open alcoholic beverage in the console. A computer check of Williams' driver's license was also done and it was determined that her license was under suspension.  Williams was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Amy Chauvin, 39 years of age, Address-Raceland, La. was arrested on 05/12/2015 @ 6:26 pm.


Charge: Obscenity
               Appearing in Public Intoxicated
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     Officers were dispatched to a local motel on Brashear Ave. in regard to a female nude in the parking lot.  When officers arrived, witnesses stated that the female had taken off her dress and her genitalia was exposed.  Officers were able to locate the female in the parking lot, but now she was clothed.  While talking to the female, Amy Chauvin, officers noticed that she appeared in a very intoxicated condition. Chauvin was placed under arrest.  Officers located in Chauvin's purse a pipe which is commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics.  Chauvin was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Andrea Wilson, 29 years of age, Address-Louisiana St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/13/2015 @ 3:04 am.


Charge:  Warrant- Disturbing the Peace
                 Warrant- Contempt of Court

     Andrea Wilson was arrested by the St. Mary Sherrif's Office for outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Andrew J. Rodriguez, 29 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/08/2015 @ 9:53 am.


Charges: Warrant- Failure to Appear for Trial

     Andrew Rodriguez was already incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department Jail, when additional charges were added by the Sixth Ward City Court of Morgan City.  Rodriguez was booked and continues to be incarcerated.

Inez M. Robinson, 44 years of age, Address-Adams St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/08/2015 @ 10:50 am.

     Inez Robinson turned herself in on outstanding warrant held for the Morgan City Police Department. She was booked and later released on bond.

Anita M. Steel, 40 years of age, Address-Freret St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/08/2015 @ 3:47 pm.


Charge: Simple Battery 
               Simple Criminal Damage to Property (under $750.00)
    Officers were dispatched to a residence on Halsey St. in regard to a disturbance.  When officers arrived, the victim stated that Anita Steel had come to her residence and started a verbal altercation.  Steel then struck the victim and also damaged her cell phone.  According to reports officers did notice marks on the victim.  Steel was located on Freret St. and did admit to hitting the victim. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Hasley St. in regard to a disturbance. When officers arrived they spoke to Shenice Wood and she stated that she and her boyfriend, Giang Duval were arguing and she wanted him to leave the residence.  When officers went to speak to Duval, they noticed a pipe commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics.  According to reports they also noticed suspected marijuana.  Both Wood and Duval were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarcartion.
