 Callie M. Boquet 01232014    Callie M. Boquet, 31 years of age, Address-Notre Dame, Thibodaux, La. was arrested on 01/23/2014 @ 9:11am

Charge: Warrant: Probation Violation; Failure to Pay Probation Fees; Failure to Pay Fines

     Boquet was transported from the Lafourch Parish Correctional Facility and booked into the Morgan City Jail charged with outstanding warrants for the City Court of Morgan City.  She was booked and remains incarcerated.

     An officer responding to a complaint of a stalled vehicle on Highway 90 located the vehicle and contacted the driver, Dustin Fontenot. It was discovered that Fontenot was wanted on outstanding warrants for Eunice Police Department. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Heroin; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Child Desertion; No Turn Signal; No Liability Insurance

 

 

 

 

 

     Detectives patrolling observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn onto Railroad Avenue and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver of the vehicle, Amy McCullough was discovered not to possess any liability insurance covereage on her vehicle.  During the stop, the passenger in the vehicle, Jeremy McCullough was observed attempting to discard an object during questioning and was stopped.  The item was recovered and discovered to be heroin, a Schedule I CDS.  Upon further investigation, both subjects admitted knowledge of the substance and they also were found to possess syringes, spoons and other items of paraphernalia.  They were arrested.  It was discovered that Amy McCullough had left two small chidlren, ages 9 and 7 at a residence without proper supervision.  Officers were dispatched to that location to supervise the children and obtain proper guardianship with an adult.  The subject, Jeremy and Amy McCullough were transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated. 

 

 Offiers of the Morgan City Police Department conducted a sweep to enhance security measures and eliminate contraband in the Morgan City Jail.  City Ordinances prohibit anyone from posessing and using tobacco products in the jail facility.  During the operation the following subjects were arrested and charged:

 Calie E. Anlem 01232014    Calie E. Anslem, 23 years of age, Address-Cottonwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/23/2014 @ 6:30pm

Charge: Smoking Prohibited in Jail Facility; Introduction of Contraband into Penal Facility

     Anslem was also found to possess prescribed medication which she had introduced into the lockup area of the jail.  She was additionally charged.

     Blake S. Lambert, 19 years of age, Address-Franklin St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/24/2013 @ 12:15am

Charge: Introduction of Contraband into Jail Facility; Possession of Synthetic Marijuana; Smoking/Tobacco Prohibited in Jail Facility

     Lambert was arrested during the original operation for possession of tobacco.  He was charged and booked.  On the early morning hours of 01/24 Lambert was found to have introduced contraband beleived to be synthetic marijuana back into the lockup facility and was additionally charged.  He remains incarcerated. 

     The Morgan City Police Department will continue to seek out and arrest any person(s) responsible for the introduction of contraband into the jail facility including those attempting to smuggle contraband to a relative who is incarcerated.  If you have any questions, contact the Morgan City Police Department @985-380-4605.

     Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department began an investigation regarding a suspected prostitution operating which utilized the internet to solicit and lure potential clients to a local motel.  Investigators were able to use the internet to confirm the existence of the illegal activity and begin their investigation,  During the investigation, detectives, posing as potential clients made contact with the subjects and where able to gather evidence which cooberated the information received.  Detectives, with the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department detained the subjects.  The subjects were identified as females Ginger Conner of North Carolina, Shanna Orgeron of Morgan City,  and male subjects, Sean McBean and Jamie Harris of New Orleans.  The male subjects were suspected of using the internet to solicit and lure clients to the room and using the females to provide prostitution services.  The subjects, along with a third female, identified as Shante Miller were found to be in possession of a Schedule II CDS-Methamphetamine, a controlled dangerous substance.  All subjects were transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.  The Morgan City Police Department remains committed to using various means, including the internet, to uncover any illegal activity.  Should you have any information, tips or concerns, please contact the Morgan City Police Department @ 985-480-4605 or your local law enforcement agency.

     Rashad Guidroz was turned into the Morgan City Police Department by a bonding company for failing to appear in court on various charges.  He was booked into the Morgan City Jail Facility and remains incarcerated.

Charge: Warrant: Possession of Schedule II CDS with the Intent to Distirbute; Warrant: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     Jose Morales was located and arrested by Detectives on an outstanding warrant stemming from an investigation involving illegal narcotics activity which began in January 2014.  Detectives were able to secure the warrant based on evidence and witnesses statements that Morales was in possession of a Schedule II CDS-Cocaine.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked aind remains incarcerated. 

 

 

 

Ricky L. Duval 01212014     Ricky Duval, 32 years of age, Address-Park Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/21/2014 @ 6:34pm

Charge: Theft by Shoplifting (Value $124.94)

     An off duty officer working security at a local supermarket was summoned for assistance in regards to a subject, identified as Ricky Duval who was reported to have removed a bag from the cash register area without permission.  The officer observed Duval fill the bag with food items and attempt to leave the store without paying for the items.  Duval was detained by the officer.  The items were recovered and he was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

 

 

 

Carmen S. Bosarge 01212014     Carmen S. Bosarge, 46 years of age, Address-Terrebone St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/21/2014 @ 10:01pm

Charge: Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated; Careless Operation

     Officers were dispatched to Terrebone Street regarding a vehicle crash.  Officers arrived and were able to determine that Carmen Bosarge, while operating a vehicle struck a parked car along the roadway.  Bosarge exhibited signs of impairment and upon investigation, it was learned that Bosarge had taken medication which may have been a factor in the crash.  Bosarge was given a field sobriety test in which she did poorly on a given an Intoxilyzer 5000 test which indicated that Bosarge was not under the influence of alcohol.  Further testing was performed and the results of that test are pending.  Bosarge was booked and incarcerated.

  Deshawn Moore 012222014   Deshawn Moore, 18 years of age, Address-Third St. Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 01/22/2014 @ 2:18am

Charge: Possession of Marijana

 

 

 

 

 

   Officers were dispatched to a vehicle playing loud music in the area of Barrow St. and Second.  The suspect vehicle was located and found occupied by Deshawn Moor and Bruce Gold.  During the stop, suspected marijuana was located.  Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were incarcerated.
