Arrest Report 12/18/2013

The following were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 12/17/2013:

1. Jeremy J. Olivier, 34 years of age, Address-Francis St. Berwick, Louisiana was arrested on 12/17/2013 @ 10:19am
Charge: Hit & Run
Jeremy Olivier turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department after he was involved in a traffic accident near the intersection of Sixth St. and Brashear Avneue on December 16 in which he left the scene. There were no injuries as a result of the accident. Olivier was booked and released after posting a cash bond.

2. Jordan Vidos, 27 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 12/17/2013 @ 6:31pm
Charge: Possession of Synthetic Cannibis with the Intent to Distribute; Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription; Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law (School Zone)
Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department with the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Department and Berwick Police Department executed a search warrant at a Fourth Street residence based on complaints of illegal drug activity. Detectives, along with assistance from Berwick Police were able to develop information which led to the warrant. During the search, suspected synthetic marijuana and items of paraphernalia were located inside the residence occupied by Jordan Vidos. Vidos was also found to be in possession of two firearms in conjunction with the drugs located. Vidos was also found to possess a prescription medication without a proper prescription. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

3. Patrick D. Guarisco, 50 years of age, Address-Spruce St. Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 12/17/2013 @ 10:19pm
Charge: Possession of Marijuana (3rd Offense); Possession of Schedule II CDS-Cocaine (2nd Offense); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Improper Turning
A patrolling officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near the intersection of Front and Louisa St. in Morgan City. The driver, Patrick Guarisco was identified as the driver. During the stop, officers located suspected marijuana and suspected crack cocaine along with items of paraphernalia. Guarisco was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was incarcerated.

1. Donny J. Richard, 42 years of age, Address-Lake Palourde, Amelia,La. was arrested on 12/13/2013 @ 9:03am
Charge: Warrant: Hit & Run
Donny Richard turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department on an outstanding warrant regarding a traffic accident which occurred November 2013.
He was booked and released after posting a cash bond. (No Photo Available)

2. Sir Michael Climax, 24 years of age, Address-Pine Dr. Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 12/13/2013 @ 1:47pm
Charge: Disturbing the Peace-Urinating in Public
Officers were dispatched to Grove St. regarding a subject urinating in public. The subject was located and identified. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police

3. Tyrin T. Watts, 19 years of age, Address-Southeast Blvd. Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 12/13/2013 @ 8:48pm
Charge: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting an Officer-False Information

David D. Picou, 18 years of age, Address-Delmar St. Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 12/13/2013 @ 8:48pm
Charge: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana; Distribution of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana; Improper Signal; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Illegal Carrying of a Weapon in the presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; Firearm Free Zone (Shannon Homes); Possession of a Firearm within 1000 ft. of a School; Possession of Schedule III CDS-Codeine

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle fail to properly signal a turn and stopped the vehicle to investigate. The driver of the vehicle, identified as David Picou appeared extremely nervous according to officers and was frisked for weapons. The officer located a .22 cal. Handgun in possession of the driver. The driver of the vehicle, Picou refused consent to search the vehicle when asked. The department’s narcotics canine was utilized and gave a response to the presence of the odor of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle, thus providing officers with probable cause for the search. The vehicle and the occupants were searched. Inside the vehicle, officers located a container of suspected codeine, a controlled substance along with marijuana and paraphernalia. The passenger in the vehicle, identified as Tyrin Watts was found to possess small cellophane bags of suspected marijuana on his person which during the investigation, it was learned that Picou had supplied Watts with the substance. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated. Tyrin Watts was released after posting a bond of $1,976.00 while David Picou posted a bond of $26,000.00 and was released.

4. Randy J. Segura Jr., 26 years of age, Address-Glenwood St. Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 12/14/2013 @ 10:39am
Charge: Possession of Marijuana (3rd Offense); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2nd Offense); Possession of CDS in the presence of a minor

A patrolling officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Railroad Ave. and Myrtle St. after observing a traffic violation. During the stop, a rear seat passenger, Randy Segura was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and items of paraphernalia which he identified as his. The subject was also in the accompany of a small child. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

5. Larry L. Griffin Jr., 26 years of age, Address-Hickory St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 12/15/2013 @ 3:45am
Charge: Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana (2nd Offense); Possession of Paraphernalia; Speeding 66/45

An officer observed a vehicle traveling on La. Hwy 70 at a high rate of speed and clocked the vehicle at 66mph in a 45 mph zone. The officer stopped the vehicle for the violation and observed the driver, Larry Griffin Jr. to be nervous. The driver, at first consented to a search but then recanted. A narcotics canine was utilized and a search was executed. Officers located a container containing suspected marijuana and items of paraphernalia which were seized. The driver, Larry Griffin Jr. was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

6. Joseph E. Brown, 30 years of age, Address-Sylvester Ave. Raceland, La. was arrested on 12/15/2013 @ 10:15am
Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-No Drivers License; Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-DWI; Warrant: Failure to Pay Probation Fees; Warrant: Probation Violation

Joseph E. Brown was booked into the Morgan City Jail on outstanding warrants. He was booked and remains incarcerated.
