Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 33 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 06/19/2019:



Ashton Ainsworth, North Holly Rd, Labadieville, La. was arrested on 06/19/2019 at 4:47 pm

Charges: Warrant FTA for City Court of Morgan City on Possession of  
                   Drug Paraphernalia

Ainsworth turned himself into officers at Morgan City Police Department on a warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Ainsworth was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.


John Clark, Willard St., Morgan City, La was arrested on 06/19/2019 at 9:22 pm

Charges: Simple Battery

Officers responded to a call on Willard St.  to remove a subject as the subject was getting their items to leave the residence Clark kicked one of the items which struck the victim.  Clark was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail for booking.

MCPD Arrest report for 06/18/2019

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 33 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 06/17/2019:

Fred Kenner, Grace St. Morgan City 32 years of age, was arrested on 06/17/2019 @ 10:12 am

Charges: Criminal Trespassing

Officers were called to a Mallard St. address to remove a subject.  Officers spoke with the victim who advised that she had ask Fred Kenner to leave the residence but he refused.  Officers attempted to have Kenner leave the residence but he refused to open the door.  Officers were able to get Kenner out of the residence where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

An officer saw Brandon Poole operating a vehicle in the area of Veterans Blvd.  The officer knew of warrants on Poole and after checking learned that Poole still had outstanding warrants.  Poole was stopped near Bowman St. and officers attempted to speak with him.  Officers approached the car Poole sped off.  Officers then chased the vehicle which entered Berwick before Poole crashed into a ditch on Hwy 182 near Patti Dr.  During the chase Poole failed to stop at several stop signs and a red light.  Poole was caught after he fled on foot from officers.  Poole was placed under arrest where it was learned that he also had warrants from St. Mary Parish and East Baton Rouge Parish.  Poole was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.


Edward Giroir, Egle St. Morgan City, La 24 years of age,  was arrested on 06/17/2019 @ 10:58 am

Charge: Warrant- Domestic Abuse Battery

Edward Giroir turned himself into the Morgan City Police Department on a warrant for Domestic Abuse Battery.  The warrant was filed after a June 14, 2019 incident where Giroir is suspect of sticking a female during an argument.  Giroir was placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Police Department.


Tayla Simoneaux, Belanger St. Morgan City, 33 years of age, was arrested on 06/17/2019 @10:50 pm

Charges: Possession of Marijuana 1st
                   Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                   Illegal use of CDS in the Presence of persons under 17
                   Speeding

An officer in the area of Hwy 182 and Ditch Ave clocked a vehicle speeding.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Tayla Simoneaux.  As the officer was speaking with the driver he could smell what he believed to be marijuana and advised Simoneaux.  Simoneaux then produced a container with suspected marijuana and admitted to the officer that admitted to using marijuana.  Officers also located other drug paraphernalia inside the container.  The officer placed Simoneaux under arrest and after learning that a person inside the vehicle was under the age of 17 added the additional charges.  Simoneaux was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

MCPD Arrest Report 6/14/2019

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 46 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 6/13/2019:

Jesse Hart, 26 years of age, Address-Gabriel St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 6/13/2019 @ 10:13 A.M. 


Charge: Warrant-Contempt of Court

Officers came into contact with Jesse Hart near the intersection of HWY 182 and Myrtle St. A warrants check revealed City Court of Morgan City held an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.  

Harold Hillard Ross, 38 years of age, Address-Railroad Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 6/13/2019 @ 3:40 P.M. 

Charge: Fugitive (D.W.I 3rd Offense) 

Harold H. Ross was located in City Court of Morgan City and placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant from Johnson County, Kansas. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Brei Daymon Lynch, 19 years of age, Address-River Road, Berwick, La., was arrested on 6/13/2019 @ 8:01 P.M.

Charge: Proper Equipment Required on Vehicles 
               Left Mirror Required
               Possession of Marijuana (2nd Offense) 
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 

An officer on patrol observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the area of HWY 182 and Everett St. The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Brei D. Lynch. During the traffic stop, Lynch was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Wayne Michael Escort, 30 years of age, Address-Orange St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 6/13/2019 @ 8:35 P.M. 

Charge: Criminal Trespassing

An officer came into contact with Wayne M. Escort on Housing Authority property on Egle St. A computer check revealed Escort was previously barred from Housing Authority property. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jonathan Franklin Sr. , Garber St. Morgan City, La. 31 years of age, was arrested on 06/18/2019 at 1:25 pm

Charges: Warrant-16th JDC FTA for Criminal Neglect of Family

Officers located Franklin at a Garber St. residence and knew of an outstanding warrant from the 16th JDC.  Franklin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.


Darell Gash, Willard St. Morgan City, La. 38 years of age was arrested on 06/18/2019 at 7:49 pm

Charge: Warrant for Criminal Trespassing

Officers saw Gash walking on Hwy 182 and knew of an outstanding warrant on Gash.  The officer spoke with Gash and advised him of the warrant, Gash was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Charges: Operating a Vehilce While Intoxicated 1st

                Red Light Violation


On June 18, 2019, an officer saw a vehicle on Fifth St. with no headlights, as the officer attempted to stop the vehicle the driver failed to stop at a traffic light on Brashear Ave.   The officer was able to then stop the vehicle and spoke with the driver identified as Edwin Castillo.  As the officer spoke with Castillo he suspected that he had been drinking.  Castillo could not produce a drivers license and finally admitted that he did not have one.  Castillo was given a field sobriety test which he failed.  Castillo was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he submitted to a test with the results of 0.161 G%.

MCPD Arrest report for 06/17/2019

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 121 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 06/14/2019:

On June 14, 2019 Officer with the Morgan City City Police Department were assisting with a traffic crash which occurred on Hwy 90.  During this time officers were assisting exiting vehilce off of Hwy 90 due  to the accident.  Officers saw a Nissan Murano with a flat front tire.  The officer made contact with the driver identified as Alonzo Henry.  The officer also saw that the driver had two unrestrained childern with him.  The officer asked Henry for his driver's license and insurance.  Henry then fled from the officer and after a short pursuit into Berwick, Henry's vehicle stop due to mechanical faiure.  Herny the exited the vehicle and ran from officers.   Henry was captured by officers and placed under arrest.  The childern were released unharmed and Henry was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Officers recievied information that a subject identified as Roderick Hunter was selling Synthetic Cannabinoids from an address on Gen Hodges St. Officer also knew of Hunter having outstanding warrants from City Court of Morgan City.   Officers went to the address on Gen Hodges and spoke with a female who stated that Hunter was not at the residence at this time.  Consent to search the residence was given and officers located suspected Synthetic Cannabinoids.  During the search officers also located MDMA, Crack Cocaine and Gabapentin. Mr. Hunter arrived back at the residence and was placed under arrested.  Hunter admitted that the items found were his.  Officers also located several hundred dollars in counterfiet money.   The location of the resience was with in 2,000 feet of a school and two small chidern were at the residence.  Hunter was placed under arrest and transproted to Morgan City Police Department for booking.



Keith Singleton, Eleventh St. Morgan City,La. , 50 years of age, was arrested on 06/16/19 @ 1:00 pm

Charges:Possession of Synthetic Marijuana 1st offense

An officer in the area of Railroad Ave near Eleventh St. observed a hand to hand tranaction between two subjects.  The officer was able to make contact with one of the subjects identified as Keith Singleton on Eleventh St.   The officer was able to locate three baggies of suspected Synthetic Marijuana in Singleton's pockets.  Singleton was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.


Christopher Wilkison, Belmont Ave, Baton Rouge, La ,37 years of age, was arrested on 06/16/19 @ 10:28 pm

Charges: Fugitive-Denham Springs Police Department

Officers were called to a Belanger St. address to remove a subject from the residence.  Officers learned that the subject Christopher Wilkinson was wanted by the Denham Springs Police Deapartment.  Wilkinson was placed under arrest and will be held for Denham Springs Police Department.

                   Drag Racing and Racing on Public Roads

On Officer on Hwy 182 observed two vehilce racing on Hwy 182.  The officer alerted other officers and the vehicle were stopped.  The officers spoke with one of the drivers identifed as Marc Mireles.  Officers suspected Mireles to be intoxicated and conducted a field sobriety test which he did poorly on. Mireles was transproted to the Morgan City Police Department where he submitted a breath sample witht he results of .179G%.  Mireles was then booked into the Morgan City Police Department.  The other driver was cited for Drag racing.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 58 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 6/12/2019:

Natron Terrell Gray, 24 years of age, Address-East 12th St., Thibodaux, La., was arrested on 6/12/2019 @ 9:30 A.M. 

Charge: Taillight Violation 
               Expired License Plate
               Driving under suspension
               Expired Moter Vehicle Inspection
               No Motor Vehicle Insurance

A patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a vehicle violation in the area of HWY 182 and U.S. 90 intersection. The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Natron T. Gray. During the traffic stop, it was revealed the vehicle Gray was driving had an expired license plate, expired rejection inspection sticker, and did not have valid motor vehicle insurance. A computer check revealed Gray driver's license was under suspension. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Glenn Gregory Johnson, 19 years of age, Address-Ferret St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 6/12/2019 @ 11:15 A.M.

Charge: Warrant: Burglary
                             Possession of Stolen Property

Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department identified Glenn G. Johnson as a suspect in a September 2018 vehicle burglary with the assistance of the Patrol Division. During the course of his arrest on 6/11/2019 arrest, he was found in possession of a stolen item from that burglary. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant and located Johnson at the Morgan City Police Department. He was booked and incarcerated.

Mark Broussard Jr., 29 years of age, Address-Vivan St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 6/12/2019 @ 11:25 A.M. 

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear

Mark Broussard was located at the Terrebonne Detention Center and placed under arrest on an active warrant held by City Court of Morgan City.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Nathaniel Albert Rollins, 23 years of age, Address-Brashear Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 6/12/2019 @ 6:27 P.M. 

Charge: Theft

Officers were dispatched to a local business located on HWY 182 in reference to a theft. Upon officers arrival, Nathaniel A. Rollins was identified as a suspect of a theft valued at $8.70. He was located at the business and placed under arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Gregory K Gober Jr., 31 years of age, Address-Sixth St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 6/13/2019 @ 1:49 A.M. 

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear

Gregory Gober was located at the Berwick Police Department on an outstanding warrant held by City Court of Morgan City. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
