An officer patrolling HWY 182 observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Amanda Irene Davis. During the traffic stop, the officer suspected driver impairment. A field sobriety test was performed and Davis did poorly on the test. She was placed under arrest and transported to a medical facility for a blood test for intoxication. A sample was collected and a chemical test for intoxication is pending at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab. She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and intoxication.

A patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a vehicle violation in the area of Redwood St. and HWY 182. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was later identified as Hernandez Iliberto-Avila. During the course of the traffic stop, he gave the officer false documents and identification. A computer check revealed Iliberto Avila-Hernandez did not possess a valid driver's license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

A patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the area of HWY 182 and U.S. 90. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Gwendolyn Leonard. During the traffic stop, the officer suspected driver impairment. A field sobriety test was conducted and she performed poorly on the test. She was also found to be in possession of an open alcoholic beverage in her vehicle. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the Morgan City Police Department she was given an intoxilyzer test and gave a breath sample of .184g. She was booked and incarcerated.

A patrol officer observed a vehicle commit several traffic violations. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Jacob James Thibodaux. During the traffic stop, Thibodaux was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Department for booking in incarceration.

April Hudson, Ditch Ave, Morgan City, La, 39 years of age, was arrested on 06/25/2019 at 12:40 pm

Charges: Warrant-Unauthorized use of a Movable
                 Warrant-Cruelty to the infirm

Hudson was arrested in Oregon and returned to Louisiana on warrants stemming from an investigation by detectives. Detectives began an investigation into a complaint of abuse to an elderly victim in April 2019. During the investigation, Detectives learned that the victim's vehicle was used without her consent. Hudson was booked into the Morgan City Jail after being returned to Louisiana by the U.S. Marshall service.  Hudson was booked in the Morgan City Police Department

Kenneth Williams, Marshal Lane, Napoleonville, La, 23 years of age, was arrested on 06/25/2019 at 11:32 pm.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana 1st.

Officers were called to the area of a Seventh St. business due to a vehicle in their parking lot in which the occupants were sleeping.  Officers then spoke with the two occupants and observed suspected marijuana in the car.   Williams admitted that the suspected marijuana was his and he was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking

On June 23, 2019, the Morgan City Police Department received several reports of vehicle burglaries. A patrol officer investigating the complaints came into contact with several juveniles matching the description. Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department were notified and responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. One male juvenile, age 14, was arrested for possession of stolen property valued at $2,000.00. A second male juvenile, age 14, was arrested for two counts of simple burglary. The investigation is still ongoing.

Charge: Warrant-Stalking

Eues was arrested on 06/20/2019 on a warrant for stalking.  The warrant stems from several incidents over the past month in which Eues is alleged to have stalked another person.  Eues was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department.

Fuentes was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on warrants for Improper supervision of a minor which stemmed from a complaint from the City Court of Morgan City.  The warrant for Vicious Dogs stemmed from an incident in which an officer investigated a complaint a Fuentes's residence where she was found to have a pit bull dog.

Jana Gilmore, Arcemont Lane, Morgan City,La 33 years of age, was arrested on 06/21/2019 at 5:30 am

Charge: Criminal Damage to Property less than $1000.00

Gilmore and Nadar were arrested after a corrections officer noticed damage to newly installed equipment in the jail.  The officer noticed the damage while doing cell checks and stated that no other inmates had occupied that cell.  Both Gilmore and Nadar were booked on the additional charge.
