Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 48-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 152 calls of service. The following person(s) were arrested as the result beginning on 5/24/2019:
Destiny Ann Dinger, 31 years of age, Address-Franklin St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 5/24/2019 @ 8:35 A.M.
Charge: Warrants-Theft between $5,000.00 and $25,000.00 (Value $8,388.36)

Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department located Destiny A. Dinger at a residence on Railroad Ave on an active warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department.
On April 23, 2019, Detectives began an investigation into a complaint of abuse to an elderly victim. During the investigation, Detectives learned monies and valuables were taken from the victim along with authorized use of their credit card. Detectives learned the Dinger had used the victim’s vehicle on several occasions without permission from the victim. Dinger was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Rachel Lynn King, 35 years of age, Address-Fifth St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 5/24/2019 @ 11:37 P.M.
Charge: Disturbing the Peace
Officers were called to a local hotel on Martin Luther King Blvd. in reference to a disturbance. Upon the officer arriving they were advised Rachel L. King was causing a disturbance with the hotel staff. The officer encountered King who was still causing a disturbance. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Justin David Price, 30 years of age, Address-Front St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 5/25/2019 @ 12:35 A.M.
Charge: Smoking Prohibited (City Jail)
A Corrections Officer located Justin Price in possession of a cigarette while incarcerated in the Morgan City Police Department Jail. He was booked and incarcerated.
Steven Wayne Davis, 43 years of age, Address-Versen St., Berwick, La., was arrested on 5/25/2019 @ 8:00 A.M.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on Forth St. and Grove St. for a speeding violation and identified the driver as Steven W. Davis. A computer check revealed his driver’s license was under suspension. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Arnoldo Alejandro Arita-Recinos, 22 years of age, Address-Roderick St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 5-25-2019 @ 10:23 A.M.

An officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Cottonwood St. and HWY 182. The driver was identified as Arnoldo Alejandro Arita-Recinos. A computer check revealed he did not possess a valid driver’s license and active warrants for his arrest for City Court of Morgan City. Officers also observed to have an open container of an alcoholic beverage inside of his vehicle during the traffic stop. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

An officer observed a vehicle being driven in a reckless manner near the intersection of David Dr. and Victor II Blvd. The driver was identified as Anuar Medina-Rojas and passenger as Martin Carranco-Presa. The officer suspected driver impairment and conducted a field sobriety test which he performed poorly. Officers located a bottle of suspected alcoholic beverage in his vehicle.
Officers located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in Martin Carranco-Presa possession during the traffic stop. They were both placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police department. Once at the Morgan City Police Department Anuar Medina-Rojas submitted to an intoxilyzer test and gave a breath sample of .205g%. Both Anuar Medina-Rojas and Martin Carranco-Presa were booked and incarcerated.
Lance P. Dupuy, 27 years of age, Address-Shadypark, Raceland, La., was arrested on 5/26/2019 @ 1:11 A.M.

Introduction of contraband into a Penal Institute
A police officer working a security patrol at Lake End Park observed a vehicle enter the park after hours and conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. The driver was later identified as Lance Dupuy and along with his passenger, Ronyneisha Jules. Officers observed several open containers of alcoholic beverages in the vehicle and detected the odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. During the officer's investigation, Lance P. Dupuy was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, Suboxone and drug paraphernalia. During the initial stop, Dupuy gave officers a false name.
Ronyneisha Jules was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. Both Dupuy and Jules were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. One at the Morgan City Police Department it was found that Jules had concealed a bag of suspected methamphetamine on her person. Both Dupuy and Jules were booked and incarcerated.
Nakiesa Walker, 39 years of age, Address-Mallard St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 5/26/2019 @ 3:30 P.M.
Charge: Warrants-Failure to Appear for Trail

Nakeisa Walker was located at the Morgan City Police Department and placed under arrest on warrants held by City Court of Morgan City. She was booked and incarcerated.

An officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation on U.S. 90 and identified the driver as Kobe Jake Arceneaux along with a 14-year-old passenger. During the traffic investigation, Arceneaux was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Officers also found evidence of suspected illegal drug usage inside the vehicle. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Mary Helen Sharp, 28 years of age, Address-John Boudreaux Rd., Abbeville, La., was arrested on 5/26/2019 @ 7:06 P.M.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear
An officer came into contact with Mary H. Sharp on Amelia St. A warrant check revealed City Court of Morgan City held an active warrant for her arrest. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Shawn Clements, 43 years of age, Address-Lee St., Patterson, La., was arrested on 5/27/2019 @ 5:00 P.M.
Charge: Warrant-Failure to Return Lease Movable (Value $1,143.22)
Shawn Clements was located at the Morgan City Police Department and arrested on warrants held by the Morgan City Department. The warrants stems from a January 2016 incident which alleges failed to return lease merchandise. He was booked and incarcerated.
Ronald P Picou, 53 years of age, Address-Federal Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 5/27/2019 @ 8:43 P.M.

An officer came into contact with Ronald P. Picou on U.S. 90 during a traffic stop. A computer check revealed Ronald Picou did not possess valid insurance and his driver's license was under suspension. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Oscar Renee' Torres, 35 years of age, Address-Onstead St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 5/28/2019 @ 12:44 A.M.

Officers were called to a residence on Freret St. in reference to a person causing a disturbance. Upon officers arriving they came into contact with Oscar Renee' Torres outside the residence in an intoxicated condition. The complainant advised they did not know Oscar Torress and he came to their residence causing a disturbance wanting to fight an individual at the residence. Torres was placed under arrest and transport to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
