Charges: Criminal Trespassing

While conducting an unrelated investigation in the area of Egle St. officers came in contact with Celeste A. Delaune. It was learned that Delaune had been barred from entry upon Morgan City Housing Authority Properties. Delaune was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division began an investigation on January 26^th in regards to a stolen vehicle. During the course of the investigation, it was learned that Joann LeJeune had filed a false report with investigators about the theft. LeJeune was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Everett St. without a license plate displayed. A stop was initiated and Madison A. Turner was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Turner’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Turner was also found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. Turner also held an active arrest warrant through the 16^th Judicial Court. Turner was arrested and transported to the Morgan City  Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 in an erratic manner. A stop was initiated and Luciano Reyes-Lopez was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, the officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from Lopez-Reyes person. Reyes-Lopez performed poorly on standardized field sobriety test. Lopez-Reyes was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he submitted to registering .022g% blood alcohol content. Reyes-Lopez was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Federal Ave. without proper lighting. A stop was initiated and Jerry Charles Jr. was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Charles was found to be in an intoxicated state. Charles performed poorly on standardized field sobriety test. Charles was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he submitted to registering .079g% blood alcohol content. Allegedly Charles admitted to taking other prescription medication and consuming marijuana. Charles was booked into the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to the area of US 90 in regards to a crash. Officers arrived and Megan E. Hatcherson was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Hatcherson was found to be in possession of suspected MDMA,  Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Allegedly Hatcherson attempted to conceal evidence that was located from officers by discarding it. Hatcherson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Solone was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Bowie was also found to have an active arrest warrant through the 16^th Judicial Court. According to reports, Castro allegedly would not obey officer commands when was taken into custody. Castro was found to be in an intoxicated state. Castro was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court. Castro was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers initiated a stop on a vehicle in which Jared P. Loupe was an occupant. According to reports, Loupe was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Suboxone, Buprenorphine Hydrochloride, Hydrocodone, Clonazepam, and Drug Paraphernalia. Loupe allegedly attempted to conceal evidence from officers by discarding it. Evidence was uncovered that the suspected Methamphetamine was to be sold in illicit sales. Loupe was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to a residence in the area of North First St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and Kerry M. Revells was identified. According to reports, Revells was found to be in an intoxicated state and she began to cause a disturbance in the presence of the officers. Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of Victor II Blvd in regards to a shoplifter. The suspect departed the business and a vehicle description was obtained. According t reports, a vehicle was located in the area and Warraen C. Brown was identified. Allegedly Brown took items valued at $22.12 from the business without paying for them. Brown was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through Probation and Parole. Brown was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Fig St. and the license plate that was displayed was reported stolen. A stop was initiated and the operator of the vehicle attempted to walk away from the area. Joey Francois was apprehended and identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, the vehicle that Francois was operating was found to be reported stolen.  Officers located at 1911 pistol that was also reported stolen, an AR-15 Assault Rifle, Ammunition, suspected Focalin XR, suspected Carisoprodol, suspected Tramadol, suspected Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia. Records indicated that this was the second incident that Francois has been charged with Possession of a Stolen Firearm and he is a convicted felon which prohibits him from possessing a firearm. Francois’ Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension and the vehicle was not properly insured. The vehicle was also found not to have a Motor Vehicle Inspection. The area where this incident had taken place was within Drug-Free and Firearm Free Zones. Francois was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Michael W. Martin, 34 years of age, address: Teche Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 01/23/2018 @ 4:10 p.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS W/I/T/D (Methamphetamine)
                 Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 01/17/2017 (2 Counts)

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a hand to hand transaction at a local business in the area of LA 182. After seeing investigators one of the subjects fled on foot. Renodia K. Toussaint was apprehended a short time later and found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, Suboxone and Drug Paraphernalia. Michael W. Martin was identified as the second subject involved and found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine. Evidence was uncovered that Toussaint had just sold a portion of the suspected Methamphetamine to Martin before the transaction being foiled by Narcotic Investigators. The suspected Methamphetamine that Toussaint and Martin possessed was destined to be sold in illicit sales. Martin was also found to hold active arrest warrants through the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court. Toussaint and Martin were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated. 

Dequante Wesley, 24 years of age, address: Orange St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 01/25/2018 @ 8:51 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Distribution of Marijuana
                 Battery on a Police Officer
                 Resisting an Officer
                 Possession of Marijuana 2^nd Offense

Patrol officers responded to the area of Roderick St. in regards to a theft. Officers arrived and Dequante Wesley was identified as one of the subjects involved. According to reports, Wesley was found to hold an active arrest warrant through the Morgan City Police. One learning of the warrant Wesley allegedly struck an officer and fled on foot. Wesley was apprehended a short time later and found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on November 4, 2017, when Wesley allegedly sold marijuana to another subject. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for his arrest. Wesley was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Merida was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Test which he submitted to registering .077g% blood alcohol content. Merida was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Cotina L. Walton, 35 years of age, address: Charlotte Dr. Patterson, La., arrested on 01/23/2018 @ 8:26 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Criminal Damage to Property
                 Warrant: Possession of Marijuana

Cotina L. Walton was located and arrested in the area of LA 70 on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on November 28, 2017, when officers responded to a local motel in the area of Eighth St in regards to an activated fire alarm. According to reports, officers arrived and located the source of the alarm in one of the rooms which suspected marijuana was located. Evidence was uncovered that the suspected marijuana belonged to Cotina L. Walton. The fire alarm was also damage. Walton had fled the scene prior to officers arrival, therefore, warrants were prepared for her arrest. Walton was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers came in contact and spoke with Nathaniel Wicks and Logan J. Trosclair in the area of Pecos St. According to reports, during the encounter Trosclair and Wicks were found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Trosclair was also found to be in possession of a pair of brass knuckles. Wicks held active arrest warrants through the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office. The area where this incident had taken place was within a Drug-Free Zone. Wicks and Trosclair were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
