Patrol officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and according to reports, Ronnie E. Newkirk was identified as one of the subjects involved. Newkirk was found to be in an intoxicated state. Newkirk was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 without an inspection sticker. A stop was initiated and Edwin Sanchez-Gonzalez was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Sanchez-Gonzalez was found not to possess a valid driver’s license and the vehicle he was operating was found not to have proper insurance and the license plate that was displayed belonged to another vehicle. Sanchez-Gonzalez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a subject walking in the area of Redwood St. When investigators stopped to speak with the subject they observed him discard something from his hand onto the ground. Morris Hatcher was identified. The item that was discovered was suspected MDMA a Schedule I CDS. Hatcher was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a subject walking in the area of Chennault St. that disappeared. Officers conducted a search of the area and Fred Kenner was located hiding underneath a residence. Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Front St. The officer knew the operator of the vehicle to be Ronald Barrow Jr. Barrow was known to hold active arrest warrants through the Morgan City Police Department. A stop was initiated and Barrow’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on November 10, 2016, when officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and according to reports, Barrow was identified as one of the subjects involved. During the verbal altercation, Barrow allegedly threatened the victim. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Barrow’s arrest. Barrow was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

William L. Richardson was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. One of the warrants stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on November 21, 2013, when officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a theft. Richardson was identified as one the subjects involved and allegedly took $200 dollars of US Currency from the business. The second warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on July 3, 2015, when officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a female screaming. Officers arrived and according to reports, learned during the investigation that William L. Richardson had allegedly entered the victim’s residence and committed a battery on them causing injury. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Richardson’s arrest. Richardson was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Gavin Porche was located and arrested at the Terrebonne Parish Detention Center on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers when they received a report of Home Improvement Fraud that occurred in the area of Chestnut Dr. Gavin Porche was identified during the investigation of allegedly taking payment from the victim for work that was never completed. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Porche’s arrest. Porce was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

A stop was initiated and Mikel R. Clark was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Clark was found to be in an intoxicated state. Clark performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety. Clark was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he refused to submit to. Clark booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Ledbetter was identified as the subject involved. According to reports, Ledbetter was found to be in an intoxicated state. Ledbetter was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Laboy was also found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Laboy was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing. Upon arrival to the Morgan City Jail Laboy submitted to Chemical Test registering .102g % Blood Alcohol Content. Laboy was booked into the Morgan City Jail  and incarcerated.

Charges: Obstruction of Justice

Patrol officers responded to the area of Mallard St. in regards to a narcotics complaint. A description of a vehicle was obtained and located by the responding officer. A stop was initiated and Soma K. Scott Jr. was identified as an occupant in the vehicle. Evidence was uncovered during the investigation that Scott destroyed suspected marijuana by ingesting it. Scott was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Brennan N. Skinner, 25 years of age, address: Grace St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 01/14/2018 @ 8:48 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 Two Headlights Required
                 Improper Equipment
                 Misuse of Temporary Tag

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 with only one operable headlight. A stop was initiated and Brennan N. Skinner was identified as the operator of the vehicle. The vehicle was found to not have required registration or license plate and the temporary tag was found to be expired. Skinner’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Skinner was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Damien Keller, 34 years of age, address: Saturn Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 01/15/2018 @ 10:35 a.m.

Charges: Theft by Shoplifting

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of Victor II Blvd. in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived and Damien Keller was identified. According to reports, Keller allegedly concealed items valued at $59.99 while in the store. When management was alerted Keller removed the watch and left the store. Keller was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Carl J. Batiste, 54 years of age, address: Taft St. Patterson, La., arrested on 01/15/2018 @ 3:01 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 Possession of Open Container
                 Expired License Plate

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of US 90 with an expired license plate. A stop was initiated and Carl J. Batiste was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Batiste’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension and he was also found to be in possession of an open container in the motor vehicle. Batiste was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Michael A. Bender, 44 years of age, address: Cherry St. Patterson, La., arrested on 01/15/2018 @ 4:30 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 Improper Equipment
                 Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 09/06/2016

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Sixth St. with a windshield that was in a condition to obstruct the operators view. A stop was initiated and Michael A. Bender was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Bender’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Bender was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court. Bender was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
