Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 33 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 12/26/2017:

 

 

Jesse Comeaux Jr., 24 years of age,Address: Levee Rd, Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/26/2017 @8:22 pm

Charges: Loud Music, Warrant-Failure to appear 16^th JDC

Officers were called to a Levee Road address due to loud music, officers located the source of the music and warned Jesse Comeaux Jr to lower it.  A short time later officers were called back to the area where they found Comeaux had turned the music back on.  Comeaux was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where it was learned that he had outstanding warrants from the 16^th JDC for Failure to appear.

Sabrina Scully,23 years of age, Address: Allison St. Morgan City,LA was arrested on 12/27,2017 @ 1:31 am

Charges: Warrant –Probation Violation(City Court of Morgan City)

                 Warrant-Failure to pay fine(City Court of Morgan City)

Sabrina Scully was transported from the Berwick Police Department on Warrants for the City Court of Morgan City.  Scully was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.

Tommy L. Harding, 26 years of age, address: Friendship Lane Amelia, La., arrested on 12/21/2017 @ 2:29 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Tobacco on Jail Premises

Officers with the Morgan City Correctional Facility conducted an investigation into the use of tobacco in the Morgan City Jail which is prohibited. Officers searched a cell belonging to Harding. Harding was allegedly found to be in possession of Tobacco. Harding was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Todd J. Gautreaux, 57 years of age, address: Vicari St. Houma, La., arrested on 12/21/2017 @ 3:57 p.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 2^nd Offense
                 Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle

Patrol officers responded to the area of US 90 in regards to a vehicle being operated in a reckless manner. A description of the vehicle was obtained and officers located the vehicle in question in the area of MLK Blvd. Todd J. Gautreaux was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Gautreaux was found to be in an intoxicated state. Gautreaux performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Gautreaux was also found to be in possession of an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. Gautreaux was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for Chemical Test. Gautreaux submitted to Chemical Test which resulted in .224g% blood alcohol content. Gautreaux was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Bridget Brown, 46 years of age, address: Arstile Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 12/21/2017 @ 11:57 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Simple Battery

Bridget Brown was located and arrested in the area of Maple St. on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on September 10, 2015 when officers responded to the area of Chennault St. in regards to a complaint of a battery that had been committed. According to reports, officers arrived and learned through the investigation that Brown allegedly committed a battery on the victim. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Brown’s arrest. Brown was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Fabiola Quintanilla, 26 years of age, Address: Wren St. Morgan City,La arrested on 12/22/17 @ 12:33 pm

Charges: Driving under Suspension

Officers on patrol in the area of Second St. saw Quintanilla operating a vehicle and knew from prior dealings with Quintanilla that her license was suspended.  After a computer check confirmed that Quintanilla was still driving under suspension, she was stopped by the patrol officer and placed under arrest.  Quintanilla was transported to the Morgan City Police Department jail for booking

Thomas Drawbaugh, 37 years of age, Address: Hwy 182, Morgan City,La arrested on 12/22/2017 @2:30 pm

Charges: WarrantTheft –Under $1000.00

Offices located Drawbaugh whom they knew had active warrants through the Morgan City Police Department.  Drawbaugh was contacted and the warrant verified at which time he was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

The warrant stemmed from on October complaint in which city utilities employees found electrical and water meters tampered with at a Bush St. residence where Drawbaugh lived.  The meters had been turned back on after being disconnected.

 

Frederick Tyre, 41 years of age, Address: Gray, La arrested on 12/22/2017 @ 7:42 pm

Charges: No turn signal , Driving under Suspension, Possession of Sch II-Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana 1^st, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal use of CDS in the presence of person under 17, Fugitive for Lafourche Parish Shanna Authement, 33 years of age, Gray,La arrested on 12/22/17 @7:42 pm

Charges: Possession of Scheduled II-Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal use of CDS in the presence of person under 17 Officers stopped a vehicle in the area of Hwy 182 near Justa St after observing a traffic violation.  The driver of the vehicle identified as Frederick Tyre , who told officers he did not have one.  Officer confirmed that he was driving under suspension.  During the stop, Tyre admitted that he had a cigar which contained Marijuana in the vehicle.  Officers then made contact with Shanna Authement along with another passenger and a small child.  After speaking with Authement she admitted that the Tyre had given her several items including a glass pipe and a medicine bottle.  Officer located the items and found inside the bottle was suspected methamphetamine.  Officer were also able to locate the cigar with suspected marijuana.  Officers continued to speak with Tyre and Authement who both admitted they had been using the suspected illegal drugs.  Both were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. Tyre was later found to be wanted by Lafourche Parish Sheriffs Office.

Madison Doiron, 17 years of age, Morgan City,La arrested on 12/23/2017 @ 1:00 am

Charges: No Turn Signal , Operating a vehicle while intoxicated 1^st

Officers conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle fail to use a turn signal as the driver exited US 90 at MLK.  Officers spoke with driver Madison Doiron.  The officer suspected Doiron of being impaired, at which time she was given a field sobriety test which she performed poorly.   Officers then placed under arrest and transported her to the Morgan City Police Department where she was given an Intoxilyzer test, with results of .126 g%.  Doiron was booked into the Morgan City Police Department.

Louis Dumesnil Jr, 49 years of age, Address: Franklin,La arrested on 12/23/2017 @9:50am

Charges:  View outward or inward through windshield, Driving under suspension, No insurance, Possession of Marijuana 1^st, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Officer patrolling the area of Front St. near Onstead St. saw a vehicle with a damaged front windshield.  Upon speaking with the driver it was learned that he was driving under suspension.  As officers were speaking with Dumesnil they also learned that the vehicle was not insured.  Upon searching Dumesnil officers located a small bag containing suspect marijuana. Dumesnil was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Wade Vidos, 61 years of age, Address: Morgan City,La arrested on 12/23/2017 @ 11:27 am

Charges: No turn signal, Driving under suspension, No Insurance

Officers saw a vehicle fail to use its turn signal while making a turn from Sixth St.  The vehicle was stopped and asked to produce a driver’s license and insurance. The driver identified as Wade Vidos advised the officer that he did not have a driver’s license nor insurance for the vehicle.  Vidos was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Atlas White, 26 years of age, Address Morgan City,La arrested on 12/23/2017 @ 4:30 pm

Charges:  Simple Battery-Warrant City Court Morgan City

Officers came into contact with Atlas White and knew of active warrants from City Court of Morgan City.  White was placed under arrest for the warrant which stemmed from a November incident in which White is accused of striking another person.  White was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Gerald Garret, 59 years of age, Address Morgan City,La arrested on 12/24/2017@ 7:44 pm

Charges:  No turn signal, Driving under suspension, Operating a Vehicle while intoxicated 4^th or subsequent offense. Officers observed a vehicle failed to use a turn signal while making a turn on Federal Ave.  Officers stopped that vehicle and spoke with driver identified a Gerald Garret.  Upon speaking with Garret it was learned that his driver’s license was suspended.  Officers suspected Garret to be intoxicated and conducted a field sobriety test which performed poorly on.   Garret was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was given an intoxilyzer test with results of .159g%.  Garret was booked into the Morgan City Police Department at which time it was learned that Garret was 4 prior DWI convictions.

Lance Williams, 31 years of age, Address: Berwick,La was arrested on 12/24/2017 @ 8:21 pm

Charges: Improper lane use, Possession of Scheduled II-Oxcycondoe, Possession of Schedule IV-Alprazolma.

A patrol officer in the area of La Hwy 70 near Lake End Park observed a vehicle weaving in and out of the lane of travel.  Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver identified as Lance Williams.  Williams advised officers that he took prescribed medication earlier that day.  During the investigation officers located a pill bottle containing suspected Oxycodone and Alprazolam which Williams did not have a prescription for.  Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Jessica Smith, 30 years of age, Address: Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/24/2017 @ 11:59 pm

Charges: Warrant –Failure to appear to pay fines for speeding and no driver’s license

A patrol officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Duke St and spoke with the driver Jessica Smith.  The officer learned that Smith had warrants from the City Court of Morgan City for Failure to pay fine for No Driver’s license and speeding.  Smith was placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.

Novbin Moran, 38 years of age, Address: Kenner,La was arrested on 12/25/2017 @ 1:41 am

Charges: Urinating in Public, Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

An Officer in the area of Everett St. observed a male subject standing near the roadway urinating.  The officer made contact with Moran and placed him under arrest.  The officer also found Moran to be in an intoxicated condition.   Moran was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Shawn Gant, 44 years of age, Address: Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/25/2017 @ 9:44 am

Charges: Warrant-City Court Morgan City failure to pay fine for stop sign violation and driving under suspension

Officers came into contact with Gant while on a complaint a local warrants check showed Gant had outstanding warrants from the City Court of Morgan City.  Gant was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Kip Gaspard, 53 years of age, Address Hwy 70 Belle River,La was arrested on 12/25/2017 @ 3:43 pm.

Charges: No turn signals, Driving under suspension, No proof of insurance, No Inspection Sticker

 An officer in the area of Roderick St saw a vehicle fail to signal a turn. The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver identified as Kip Gaspard.  Gaspard was found to be driving under suspension and had no proof of insurance for the vehicle.  The officer also found that Gaspard’s vehicle did not have a Inspection sticker.  Gaspard was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Thalassa Frickey, 40 years of age, Address: Morgan City,La, was arrested on 12/25/2017 5:16 pm

Charges: Warrant –City Court of Morgan City  Failure to Appear for Trial on Driving under suspension and Failure to yield.

Officers located Frickey on Pecos St. and knew of warrants through the Morgan City Court.  Frickey was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Chase Broussard, 28 years of age, Address: Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/25/2017 @ 6:48pm

Charges:  Possession of Marijuana 1^st, Possession of Drug paraphernalia, Violation of Uniform CDS law

Officers came into contact with Broussard at a Second St. residence while investigating a complaint.  Officers cold smell a strong odor of marijuana while speaking with Broussard.  Broussard was advised of his rights and was asked about the smell.  Broussard admitted to officers that he had marijuana in the residence and turned it over to the officers.  Officers also located a pipe that had been used to smoke marijuana.    The residence is within 2000 feet of a church which resulted in the Violation of the drug free zone.

Wendy Medina-Salguero, 38 years of age, Address: Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/25/2017 @7:14 pm

Charges: No Tail lights, No Driver’s license.

An officer in the area of Hwy 182 and Roderick St. observed a vehicle without rear lights.   The vehicle was stopped and the driver Identified as Wendy Medina-Salguero .  The driver could not produce a driver’s license and advised that officer that she did not have one.  Medina-Salguero was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Carla Stafford, 30 years of age, Address: Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/25/.2017 @11:27 pm.

Charges: Improper lane use, Driving under Suspension, Operating a vehicle while intoxicated 3^rd. An officer patrolling the area of Federal Ave near Egle St. observed a vehicle travel outside its lane.  The officer conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver identified as Carla Stafford.  Stafford advised that officer that she did not have a driver’s license and a computer check confirmed that she was driving under suspension.  Officers could also smell an alcoholic beverage on Stafford’s breath.  Stafford was given a field sobriety test which she did poorly on. Stafford was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was given an intoxilyzer test with results of .143g%.   Stafford was booked into the Morgan City Police Department jail.

  Nicholas Bertrand, 38 years of age, Address: Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/25/2017 @10:52 pm

Charges: No Turn Signal, Operating a vehicle while Intoxicated 1^st

Officers responded to a reckless driver in the area of Hwy 70 and Hwy 90 interchange.  The officer observed the vehicle from the complaint turn without using its signal and stopped the vehicle.  The driver identified as Nicholas Bertrand spoke with the officer and as he did the officer believed him to be intoxicated.  Bertrand was given a field sobriety test which he did poorly on.  Bertrand was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was given and intoxilyzer test with results of .132g%.  Bertrand was booked into the Morgan City Police  Department Jail.
