MCPD Arrest Report 04/04/2016
Ronald J Armond Jr., 22 years of age, Address: 248 Murial St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/01/2016 @ 12:00am.
Charge: Criminal Damage to Property (Less than $500.00)
Officers responded to an address on Oriole Street in regard to a call of a disturbance. The officers arrived when the located the complainant and Ronald J Armond at the residence. Officers were told that Armond and the complainant were involved in a argument when Armond allegedly damged a wall inside the residence. Officers observed the damaged property when Armond was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Travis J Morin, 32 years of age, Address: Shaw St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/01/2016 @ 3:50am.
Charges: Driving Under Suspension
Disturbing the Peace
Criminal Mischief
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Durg Paraphernalia
Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws
Officers responded to the area of Levee Road near Shaw Street in regard to a call of a subject in the street causing a disturbance. The caller further stated that the subject got into a vehicle and was leaving the area. A description of the vehicle and subject was provided to responding officers when they located the vehicle in the area moments later. A taffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Travis J Morin. A drivers license check was conducted which revealed that Morin had a suspended drivers license. Officers then went to the area of Levee Road and Shaw Street where they observed broken glass and a garbage can in the roadway. Officers were told by witnesses that Morin was the subject who had broken the glass and pushed the garbage can into the middle of the roadway. Morin was also allegedly shouting out profane language and disrupting the neighborhood when he got into a vehicle and left the area. Morin was placed under when officers located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia on his person. The location of the incident was wihin the area of a local school in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Morin was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
Michael J Lancon, 45 years of age, Address Arlington Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/02/2016 @ 9:23pm.
Charges: Improper Lane Usage
Driving While Intoxicated
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on Railroad Avenue travel out of its lane and off onto the side the rodaway several times. A traffic stop was conducted when the driver was identified as Michael J Lancon. Officers spoke with Lancon in regard to the stop when it was suspected that Lancon had been drinkning and was believed to be intoxicated. Lancon was trasnported to the Morgan City Police Department for further chemical testing where Lancon submitted to the Intoxilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol concentrtation of .116 grams percent. Lancon was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail where he was incarcerated.
William J Carr, 26 years of age, Address: Fern Street Patterson, La. was arrested on 04/03/2016 @ 10:32pm.
Charge: Simple Assault
Officers responded to a local medical facility on Hwy 70 in regard to a call of a disturbance. Officers arrived when they were told by medical staff that William J Carr had caused a disturbance inside the facility and then locked himself inside one of the restrooms. Officers were also told that during the incident, Carr attempted to strike one of the medical facility employees. Officers were later able to get Carr out of the restroom at which time he was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
