                  Warrant - Criminal Trespassing

     Sydney V Bassa was located by officers in the area of Federal Avenue near Bowman Street where she was arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Bassa was transported to the Morgan City Jail where where a thorough search was conducted when officers located suspected marijuana and lorazepam on Bassa's person. Bassa was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Brandon Robinson, 19 years of age, Address: Roderick St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/19/2016 @ 10:34pm.

Charges:  Warrant - Failure to Appear for Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
 
     Brandon Robinson was located by officers in the area of Walnut Drive near McDermot Dr. where he was arrested on an acitve arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Robinson was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Decator J Crochet Jr., 18 years of age, Address: Laurel St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/15/2016 @ 10:30am. 

Charges:  Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile

     Decator J Crochet was located by officers at a residence on Laurel Street where Crochet was  arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained as the result of an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department from an incident reported on March 27, 2016. The reported incident alleged that Decator J. Crochet had sexual contact with a female 13 years of age. Crochet was transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. The incident remains under investigation.

Gersson S. Viniegra, 31 years of age, Address: Catherine St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 04/15/2016 @ 10:30am.

Charge:  Probation Violation  

     Gersson S. Viniegra was arrested in the 6th Ward Morgan City Court on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Viniegra was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Heather D LaCoste, 32 years of age, Address: Marshall Street, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/15/2016 @ 3:11pm. 

Charges:  Resisting An Officer
                  Warrant - Failure to Appear for Driving While Intoxicated
    
     Heather D LaCoste was located by officers at a residence on Marshall Street where she was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 16th Judicial District Court. During the arrest, it was alleged that LaCoste gave officer a false name to avoid the arrest. LaCoste was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Rachel  L King, 32 years of age, Address: Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/15/2016 @ 6:16pm. 

Charge:  Warrant - Probation Violation

     Rachel L King was transported from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Jail to the Morgan City Police Department in regard to an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. King was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Timothy S Crum, 37 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/15/2016 @ 9:24pm.

                 Possession of an Alchoholic Beverage In a Motor Vehicle
                 Improper Lane Usage

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling out of its lane of travel on Hwy 182 near Pecos Street. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Timothy S Crum. A drivers license check revlealed that Crum had a suspended driver. Reports indicated that officers observed an open container of an alcoholic beverage inside the vehicle. Crum was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Tyrone F Thomas, 51 years of age, Address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/16/2016 @ 2:01am. 

Charges: Improper Lane Usage
                 Warrant - Theft of Goods

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling out of its lane of travel on Ditch Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Tyrone F Thomas. A warrants check revelaed Thomas had an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained as the result of an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department of an alleged theft reported on March 8, 2016 at a local convenience store on Hwy 182. Thomas was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where Thomas was booked and incarcerated.

Omar Ramos, 38 years of age, Address: Shaw Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/16/2016 @ 2:51am.

Charge:  Domestic Abuse Battery

     Officers responded to an address on Shaw Drive in regard to a report of a disturbance. When the officers arrived, Omar Ramos along with a female who had signs of a battery were located in the street. An investigation of the incident was conducted where it was alleged that Omar Ramos committed a battery on the female during an argument. Ramos was placed under arrest and tranpsorted to the Morgan City Jail where Ramos was booked and incarcerated.

Dietra R James, 39 years of age, Address: Louisiana St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/17/2016 @ 3:00pm.

                  Warrant - Domestic Abuse Battery
                  Warrant - Probation Violation

     Dietra R James was located by officers at a residence on Louisiana Street where she was arrested on active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department. During the arrest, a failed attempt was made by James to exit the residence to get away from officers. James was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where James was booked and incarcerated.

Brandy L Armond, 36 years of age, Address: Tournament Blvd. Berwick, La. was arrested on 04/17/2016 @ 8:34pm. 

Charge:  Warrant - Failure to Appear for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

     Brandy L Armond was located by an officer in the area of Fifth Street near Greenwood Street where she was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 16th Judicial District Court. Armond was transported to the Morgan City Jail where Armond was booked and incarcerated.

Sheila M. Sons, 30 years of age, Address- O St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 04/13/2016 @ 6:30 pm. 

Charge:  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                Possession of a Legend Drug (cyclobenzaprine)

  Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal at the intersection  of LA 70 and Victor II Blvd. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Gersson Viniegra was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Viniegra's driver's license was under suspension. It was also determined that Viniegra held an active warrant for the 16th Judical District Court.  The passenger in the vehicle, Sheila Sons was asked to exit the vehicle. Sons gave officers consent to search her purse and located inside were two pills identified as Cyclobenzaprrine and a glass pipe commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics.  Both Viniegra and Sons were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Antanacio Guerrero, 33 years of age, Address- Vivian St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/13/2016 @ 11:33 pm.

Charge:  Possession of Schedule II CDS Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
                Possession of Schedule I CDS Marijuana 1st Offense
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                Violation of Uniform CDS Law- Drug Free Zone
                Possession of Firearm in the Presense of CDS
                Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon
                No Turn Signal
                Expired Driver's License

   A patrol officer observed a vehicle at the intersection of Duke St. and Federal Ave. fail to use a turn signal while turning on to Federal Ave. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Antanacio Guerrero was asked to produce a valid driver's license. Guerrero's behavior aroused the officer's suspicion that he may be involved in illegal drug activity. Guerrero gave the officer consent to search his vehicle. Offices located inside the vehicle a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana and a 9mm firearm.  The area in which the vehicle was stopped was near an elementary school which is a drug free zone. Also Guerrero's driver's license was expired. Guerrero was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Mai Amador, 33 years of age, Address: Cottonwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/18/2016 @ 2:19pm.

Charge:  Warrant - Identity Theft

     Mai Amador who was currently incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail was booked in on an additional arrest warrant obtained by Morgan City Police. The warrant was obtained as the reult of an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police Department Detectives in regard to an alleged identitiy theft reported on March 10, 2016.

Bennie A Charles, 31 years of age, Address: North Third St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/18/2016 @ 7:56pm.

Charges:  Possession of Cocaine
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Laws

     Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Detectives along with the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on North Third Street. Investigators located Bennie A Charles inside the residence who was detained and advised of the investigation. A search of the residence was conducted when investigators located suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia. The location of the incident was within the area of a local elementary school in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Charles was placed under arrest and tranported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Nhirobi Dewey, 19 years of age, Address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/18/2016 @  8:59pm.

                  Warrant - Failure to Appear to Pay Fines on 11/18/2014 on Possession of Marijuana
                  Warrant - Failure to Appear to Pay Fines on 01/29/2015 on Possession of Marijuana
                  Warrant - Contempt of Court
                  Warrant - Failure to Appear on 5/04/2015 for Trial on Simple Battery
                  Warrant - Failure to Appear on 8/03/2015 for Trial on Possession of Marijuana

     Officers responded to the area of Florida Alley in regard to a call of illegal drug activity in the area. Officers arrived when they observed a subject later identified as Nhirobi Dewey in the area. As officers approached, Dewey began running away from officers on foot. A foot chased ensued when officers chased Dewey for several city blocks when Dewey was captured moments later. A warrants check revealed that Dewey had several arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court and the 16th Judicial District Court. Dewey was arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. 

                 

The following persons were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 04/14/2016:

Dale Fromenthal, 60 years of age, Address- Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/14/2016 @ 6:35 am.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Excessive Sound or Noise

   Officers responded to a residence on Sixth St. in regards to loud music. Officers had previously gone to the residence the night before for the same complaint. According to reports, witnesses stated that once the police would leave, the individual in the residence would turn the music up again. Officers spoke to Dale Fromenthal about the complaint. Fromenthal was then placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Randy L. Hatcher, 37 years of age, Address- Carter Lane Berwick, La. was arrested on 04/14/2016 @ 6:40 pm.

Charge:  Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

   Officers responded to a residence on Egle St. in regards to an individual that appeared to be intoxicated. Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses who stated that Randy Hatcher had come to the residence causing a disturbance. Officers made contact with Hatcher, who appeared to intoxicated. Hatcher was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police for booking and incarceration.

Palmer Cox IV, 51 years of age, Address- Oregon St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 04/14/2016 @ 8:15 pm. 

Charge:  Driving Under Suspension
                No Tail Lamps 

   A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 182 and Sixth St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, Palmer Cox was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Cox's driver's license was suspended. Cox was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jermoud Watts, 25 years of age, Address- Kentucky St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/12/2016 @ 9:05 am.

                Aggravated Kidnapping
                Possession of Synthetic Marijuana

   Officers responded to a local convenient store on Hwy 182 in regards to an individual stating he was robbed. According to reports,  the victim stated that while at his residence on Hwy 182, the suspect entered his residence armed with a weapon demanding money. When the victim could not produce any cash, the suspect ordered the victim at gun point to his vehicle. Suspect demanded that they travel to an ATM to try and obtain cash. The victim drove to the convenient store where he exited his vehicle and fled from the suspect. A description was given out of the suspect. A short time later, officers responded to another complaint of an armed robbery in the area of Sixth St. and Brashear Ave. Officers spoke to the victim and were told that the suspect demanded money from him at gunpoint. The victim complied with the suspect. Suspect then fled the area. Description was of the suspect was simliar to the one in the first incident. Officers searched the area for the suspect and located an individual fitting the description entering a residence on Maine St. Officers were able to get consent to search the residence and located Jermond Watts hiding in one of the bedrooms. Watts was placed under arrest. Officers also located suspected synthetic marijuana on Watts' person. Watts was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Tiffany D. Laurent, 34 years of age, Address- Home Lane Berwick, La. was arrested on 04/12/2016 @ 9:59 am. 

Charge:  Theft (over $5,000)

  Tiffany Laurent turn herself in to the Morgan City Police for an active warrant she held for the Morgan City Police Department. Laurent was booked and incarcerated.

Eddie Mayfield, 30 years of age, Address- Fifth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/12/2016 @ 12:21 pm.

Charge: Theft under $750.00

  Officers responded to a local hotel on Martin Luther King Blvd. in regards to a theft. When officers arrived they spoke to the victim. Reports indicate that the victim noticed an individual riding a bike similar to his bicycle. When the victim checked on his bike, it was gone. A description of the suspect was given out and officers located an individual riding a bike fitting the description on Victor II Blvd. The individual was identified as Eddie Mayfield. Mayfield was asked about the bike. According to reports, Mayfield admitted to taking the bike. Mayfield was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Fran M. Keller, 52 years of age, Address- Main St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 04/12/2016 @ 10:38 am. 

Charge:  Warrant- Probation Violation (2cts) 
                Warrant- Failure to Pay Probation Fees
                Warrant- Failure to Appear for Trial

  Fran Keller was located at a local hotel on Brashear Ave. A local warrant check was done and it was determined that she held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Keller was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

  Ronald Johnson turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Johnson was booked and incarcerated.

Barry L. Jones, 28 years of age, Address- Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/12/2016 @ 8:51 pm.

Barry Jones was located in the area of Myrtle St. A local warrant check was done and it was determined that he held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Jones was booked and incarcerated.

Felton Charles Jr. 33 years of age, Address- Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 04/12/2016 @ 9:36 pm.

  Felton Charles had been stopped for a traffic violation on Eleventh St. During the course of the investigation, a warrant check was done Charles. It was determined that he held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Charles was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
