Cody Pearce, 27 years of age, Address: Poplar St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/06/2016 @ 10:52 A.M.

                  Domestic Abuse Battery by Stranulation In the Presence of a Juvenile
                  Criminal Abandonment 
                  Simple Kidnapping
                  Criminal Trespassing
                  Warrant - Domestic Abuse Battery
                  Warrant - Hit and Run Driving, Reckless Operation & No Drivers License

     Officers responed to an address on Poplar St. in regard to removing a subject.  While responding a subject later identified as Cody Pearce was observed by witnesses running from the residence with what appeared to be a small baby. Officers arrived and spoke with the victim who was also the mother of the small baby. It was learned during the investigation that the victim and Pearce had become involved in an arguement which led to a battery being committed by Pearce.  The victim displayed marks which were consistent with being the result of a battery. The victim aslo reported that her small baby which was two weeks old was missing and was believed to have been taken by Pearce. A search of the neighborhood was conducted when Pearce was spotted.  The subject fled from officers. He was located a short time later and arrested.  Officers learned that Pearce had abandoned the child during the chase.  The child was located by officers unharmed and returned to the mother.   Pearce was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. A warrants check also revealed that the St. Mary Parish Office held several arrest warrants for Pearce which he was booked on as well.

April L Aucoin, 35 years of age, Address: Patterson, La. was arrested on 01/06/2016 @ 7:08 P.M. 


Charge:  Warrant - Theft by Fraud

     April L Aucoin who was already incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department was booked in on a warrant obtained by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was obtained as the result of an investigation of an incident which occurred in December of 2015 in regard to a theft.

Erick A Brunner, 32 years of age, Address: Labadieville, La. was arrested on 01/06/2016 @ 7:32 P.M.

                  Driving Under Suspension
                  Warrant - Failure to Appear for Driving Under Suspesion

     An officer observed a vehicle with improper lighting on Federal Ave. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Erick A Brunner. A drivers license check and warrant check revealed that Brunner had a suspended drivers license and the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Officer held an arrest warrant on Brunner. Brunner was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Officers responded to an address on Gen Hodges in regard to a distubance. While at the residence Officers came into contact with James Wagner. A warrants check revealed that the Morgan City Police Department held active arrest warrants on Wagner. Wagner was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Toby J Mabile, 30 years of age, Address: Plattenville, La. was arrested on 01/04/2016 @ 2:08 P.M.

     Officers went to an address on Roderick Street in an attempt to locate Toby J Mabile in regard to active warrants held for his arrest through the Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office. Mabile was located, placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Eric J Fitter, 28 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/04/2016 @ 9:41 P.M.

     The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at an address on Everett Street. Reports indicate that Joni L Farias, Joshua Haywood, Norma Ramirez and Eric J Fitter were located inside the residence. A search of the residence was conducted when officers located suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana, suspected adderal, suspected, hydrocodone, suspected drug paraphernalia along with US currency which was believed to have been obtained from illegal narcotics transactions. It was reported that the location of the incident had taken place with the area of a local day care center in violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance laws. Farias, Haywood, Ramirez and Fitter were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Brian K James, 37 years of age: Address: Franklin, La. was arrested on 01/04/2016 @ 11:13 P.M.


Charges: Resisting an Officer
                 No Seat Belt
                 Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle

     An officer was patrolling the area of Hwy 182 when a vehicle was observed traveling out of the lane of travel and make an improper turn. Reports indicate that the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the vehicle began fleeing from the officer. A persuit ensued going east on Hwy 182 which continued for several miles reaching speeds of an access of 100 mph into Assumption Parish. Assisting with the persuit was the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. The chase continued onto Hwy 662 for several miles then later back onto Hwy 182 again reaching speeds in access of 100 mph. The vehicle then again attempted to turn onto Hwy 662 when it lost control causing the vehicle to turn around and travel back toward the persuing officers unit striking the unit. Reports indicate that the suspect vehicle came to a stop when several subject exited the vehicle and began running on foot which included the driver Joseph B James and passenger Brian James. Officers then chased Josesph James and Brian James on foot when they were capture moments later. The officers located suspected cocaine along with an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. A warrants check and drivers license check revealed that Joseph James had a suspended drivers license and had active arrest warrants through the Frankin Police Department and the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Both Joseph James and Brain James were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Christopher Woods, 24 years of age, Address-Allison St., Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/30/2015 @ 2:18 pm

     Christopher Woods was transported to Morgan City Police Department from another corrections facility on warrants from City Court of Morgan City for failing to appear in Court.  Woods was booked and incarcerated.

     Blaise Crane, 21 years of age, Address-Verdunville Rd., Franklin, La. was arrested on 12/30/2015 @ 10:30 pm


Charges: Possession of Sch1-Marijuana

     A patrolling officer conducted a traffic stop on the Federal Ave. near Greenwood St.  The officer while conducting an investigation obtained consent to search the vehicle.  The officer located suspected marijuana in the vehicle.  Blaise Crane, who was the passenger in the vehicle, admitted that the suspected marijuana was his.  Crane was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Bryce Reed, 18 years of age, Address- Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/30/2015 @ 11:45 pm

                 Possession of Sch 1-Marijuana

     An officer patrolling the area of Elm St. when he found three subjects walking in the middle of the street.  The officer while speaking with the subject during the investigation located suspected drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana on Reed.  Reed was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Aketa R Francis, 19 years of age, Address: Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/05/2016 @ 2:00 P.M. 


Charge:  Warrant - Disturbing the Peace

     Aketa R Francis who was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Police Department Jail on previous charges was booked in on an additional warrant for her arrest obtained by the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant was in regard to incident which occured on 12/28/2015 when Francis was suspected to have been involved in a fight in the area of Egle Street.

Paul Stevens, 39 years of age, Address: Eustance, Texas was arrested on 01/05/2016 @ 5:23 P.M. 


Charges:  Criminal Trespassing
                  Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

     Officers responded to a residence on Hwy 182 in regard to a disturbance. Officers spoke with the compainant who told officers that Paul Stevens was inside the complainants residence and was told to leave but he refused to do so. Reports indicate that officers spoke with Stevens and while doing so Stevens was believed to have been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Stevens was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Kendrick D Fontenot, 34 years of age, Address: Franklin, La. was arrested on 01/05/2016 @ 8:10 P.M.

     Kenerick D Fontenot was transported from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department Jail in regard to three arrest warrants held for Fontenot by the Morgan City Poice Department. Fontenot was booked in on the warrants and incarcerated.

Saavedra Rodriguez, 32 years of age, Address: Amelia, La. was arrested on 01/05/2016 @ 8:34 P.M.

     An officer observed a vehicle traveling on Brashear Ave. speeding and driving in a reckless manner. A traffic stop was conducted and Saavendra Rodriguez was identified as the driver. A drivers license check revealed that Rodriguez did not have a valid drivers license. Rodriguez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Joseph L Hart, 33 years of age, Address: Versen St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 01/06/2016 @ 2:36 A.M.

     Joseph L Hart was identified by officers as an occupant of a vehicle during a traffic investigation. A warrants checked revealed that the Morgan City Police Department and Rayne Police Department held active arrest warrants for Hart. Hart was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Deqwavia J Hall was identified by officers as an occupant in a vehicle during a traffic investigation. A warrants check revealed that the Morgan City Police Deaprtment held an active arrest warrant for Hall. Hall was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

     The Morgan City Police Department Nacotics Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Hwy 182. Located inside the residence was Susie Delatte. A search of the residence was conducted when investigators located suspected marijuana, suspected drug paraphernalia, suspected buprenorphine, suspected vyvanse and suspected subutex. The location of the incident was within the area of a local church in violation of the uniform controlled dangerous substance law. Delatte was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

     An officer conducted a traffic stop in regard to a traffic offense when Troy Smith was idnentified as the driver. A drivers license check revealed that Smith had a suspended driver license. Smith was placed under arrest transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Rene Cothron, 51 years of age, Address: Faith St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/31/2015 @ 11:35 P.M.

     An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Rene Cothron. The stop was in regard to a disturbance Cothron was involved in at a local business. A drivers license check revealed that Cothron had a suspended drivers license. Cothron was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Polce Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Donald E Byrd, 45 years of age, Address: Freret St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/01/2016 @ 12:21 A.M.

                  Misuse of 911

     Officers responded to an address on Freret Street in regard to Donald E Byrd calling 911 several times for non emergencies after be warned not to do so. Byrd was placed under arrested at which time he began to resist by pulling away from officers. After a short struggle Byrd was handcuffed and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     An officer responded to a local business on Levee Rd. in regard to a vehicle spinning out in circles cutting ruts onto the lawn. The suspected vehicle was located and William Doiron was identified as the driver. Based on the witnesses and Doiron's statements, Doiron was placed under arrested and transported to the Morga City Polic Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Albert Vargas, 23 years of age, Address: Cold Spring, Texas was arrested on 01/01/2016 @ 2:04 A.M.

     Officers responded to a local hotel on Roderick Street in regard to a report of a fight.  Upon arrival officers spoke with witnesses when it was determined that Albert L Vargas was involved. Officers attempted to speak with Vargas about the incident when Vargas ran from officers. Vargas was capture moments later, placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Polic Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Erick A Deleon, 22 years of age, Address: First St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/01/2016 @ 5:00 P.M.

                  Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle

     On officer was investigating a single vehicle crash on Youngs Road when Erick A Deleon was identified as the driver of the vehicle . A drivers license check revealed that Deleon did not have a valid drivers license and an open container of alcohol was located inside of the vehicle. Deleon was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Depatment where he was booked and incarcerated.

Reid D Scott, 54 years of age, Address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/01/2016 @ 10:06 P.M. 


Charge:  Driving While Intoxicated


     An officer responded the US 90 east in regard to a report of a drunk driver. The vehicle was observed taking the Federal Ave. exit and turn into an address on Fourth Street where the officer came into concact with the driver identified as Scott D Reid.  The officer spoke with Reid at which time it was believed that Reid had been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Reid was transported to the Morgan City Police Deapartment where he submitted to the intoxilyzer 5000 yielding a blood alcohol concentration of .183 grams percent. Reid was placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail and incarcerated.

Calab L Mitchell, 19 years of age, Address: South Railroad, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/02/2016 @ 05:21 A.M.

                  Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapon

     Officers responded to a residence on Hwy 182 in regard to a complaint of a battery. The officer arrived and spoke with the victim and witness when officers observed lacerations on the victims face and neck which were consistent with a battery. The officer was told by the victim and witness that three males entered the victims house while in the presence of a female juvenile 5 years of age. The three subjects attacked the victim and struck the victim with a iron box and wooded step stool before leaving the residence. A description of the suspects was given to officers when the three suspects were located on Arkansas Street and detained. The suspects were identified as Preston J Wade, Blaise K Crane and Calab L Mitchell.  Based on the injuries observed on the witness along with statements from the victim, witness and suspects Wade, Crane and Mitchell were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Deparmtent where they were booked and incarcerated.

Michael Francois, 24 years of age, Address: Lawrence St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/02/2016 @ 10:05 A.M.

     An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was observed running a stop sign at the Federal Ave. off ramp @ Freret St. when the driver was identified as Michael Francois. A drivers license check revealed that Francois had a suspended drivers license.  Francois was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Officers repsonded to an address on Orange Street in regard to subjects breaking into the residence. The arrived and spoke with the victim and witnesses who stated that Diondre Short and Jasmine Junifer went into the residence without permission and began shouting at the victim. Short and Jasmine who were gone befores officers arrived were located at another residence on Orange Street when officers spoke to them about the incident. Based on statements recieved by the victim, witnesses and susepcts Short and Junifer were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

     Officers were in the area of Egle Street attempting to locate Aketa R Francis who had previously been involved in a fight. Francis was located in the area when she began running from officers. Francis was capture moments later, placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Deprtment where she was booked and incarcerated.

Samouree Randle, 27 years of age, Address-Cherry St., Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/29/2015 @ 8:01 am


Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery


     Officers were called to the Morgan City Police Department due to a subject being followed by another subject.  Prior to officer’s arrival the male subject, later identified as Samouree Randle confronted the female in the parking lot.  During this time Randle grabbed the female and began to struggle with her during which he threw her to the ground.  Officer from the Morgan City Police Department jail were able to separate the two subjects.  Randle was placed under arrest and taken to the Morgan City Police Department jail for booking.

Austin Stevens, 20 years of age, Address-Fourth St., Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/29/2015 @ 9:36 pm.


Charge: Possession of Marijuana
   
   An officer in the area of Sixth St. near Arenz St. observed a vehicle with one working headlight.  As the driver noticed the officer she turned on her bright light to make the vehicle appear to have two working headlights.  The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Elizabeth Toups.  A warrants check through Morgan City Police showed that Toups was wanted by the Morgan City Police Department.   Toups was placed under arrest and later transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking.  The officer identified the passenger as Austin Stevens, while speaking with Stevens he advised that officer that a second wanted subject was at a residence on Fourth St.   Stevens took officers to the residence where they located Patricia Savoie.  Savoie was wanted for several warrants from Morgan City Police Department.  Officers also located suspected Marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  During the investigation at the residence Stevens was also found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. Both subjects were placed under arrest and were transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.
