     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle make an improper turn at the intersection of General McArthur and Sixth Street. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Buddy L Martin. During the investigation Martin aroused officers suspicions that he may have been involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when officers located suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Martin was placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was incarcerated.

Oscar Guido-Rodriguez, 22 years of age, Address: Victor II Blvd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/30/2016 @ 8:59am.

Charges:  Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information

                  Warrant - Failure to Appear for Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle

    Oscar Guido-Rodriguez was identified by officers while conducting a traffic investigation on Brasear Ave. near Sixth Street. It was learned that Guido-Rodriguez had given officers a false name in an attempt to hide his identity. A warrant check revealed that the Morgan City Police Department held several active arrest warrant for Guido-Rodriguez. Guido Rodriguez was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was incarcerated.

Rodney Castle, 51 years of age, Address: Shannon St. Morgan City , La. was arrested on 01/30/2016 @ 11:24pm.

Charge:  Appearing in Public in an Intoxicated Condition

     An officer responded to the area of Second Street near Terrebone Street in regard to a suspicous subject in the area. A description of the subject was provided to officers when they located Rodney Castle in the area. While speaking with Castle it was believed that Castle had been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Castle was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was incarcerated.

Rick K Bui, 30 years of age, Address: Magnolia St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/30/2016 @ 11:53pm.

Charge:  Simple Assault

     Officers responded to a local buisiness on Roderick Street in regard to a disturbance. Contact was made with the complainant and witnesses who told officers that Ricky K Bui was inside the business causing a disturbance. Bui was told by the complainant to leave when Bui assaulted the complainant. Bui was located moments later at which time he was placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was incarcerated.

Kayla Scott, 22 years of age, Address: Baldwin, La. was arrested on 01/31/2016 @ 5:12pm.

Charge:  Possession With the Intent to Distribute Marijuana

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle with illegal window tint on the front windshield on Sixth Street near Margeurite Street. A traffic stop was conducted when the officer identified the driver Deandre J Austin and passenger Kayla Scott. A drivers license check revealed that Austin had a suspended drivers license. Both Austin and Scotts behavior aroused officers suspicions that they may have been involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when officers located suspected marijuana along with U.S. currency. The marijuana was packed in way which led officers to believe it was intended for sale and currency believed to be obtained from illegal narcotics sales. Some of the U.S. currency located appeared to be counterfeit. Both Austin and Scott were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Curtis R Robinson, 46 years of age, Address: Brashear Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/31/2016.

Charge:  Theft of Goods

     An officer responded to a local store on Brashear Ave. in regard to a shoplifter. It was reported that the suspect had left the store prior to officers arrival. Video footage of the incident was captured and viewed by officers. Curtis R Robinson was identified by officers on camera taking items from the store and concealing them on his person. Robinson was located in the area moments later at which time he was placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was incarcerated.

Jody S Shannon, 55 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/01/2016 @ 12:22am.

Charge:  Appearing in Public in an Intoxicated Condition

   An officer responded to a local store on Hwy 182 in regard to a complaint of a subject stumbling in the area. Officers located Jody S Shannon who while speaking to officers was believed to have been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Shannon was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Charge:  Warrant - 16th Judicial Dist. Court for Failure to Appear for Criminal Neglect of Family

     John C LaCoste was located at a residence on Brashear Ave. and arrested by officers in regards to an active arrest warrant held by the 16th Judicial Dist. Court. LaCoste was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

    The Morgan City Police Department recieved a report of a robbery in the parking lot of Young Memorial Campus on Young's Road. Patrol officers and detectives responded to the area where they spoke with the victim and witness. Investigators were told that the victim had agreed to purchase a cellphone from Stephen R Black. The victim got into a vehicle driven by Black attempting to complete the purchase when Joseph Daniels open the door holding a knife. Daniels then forced the victim out of the vehicle taking the money which was reported around $250.00. Daniels then got into the vehicle driven by Black at which time they fled the area. A description of the vehicle and suspects were provided to investigators and the vehicle was located a short time later. Both Black and Daniels were interviewed by investigators at which time they were placed under arrest, booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail and incarcerated.

Lydia J Cruz, 30 years of age, Address: Pierre Part, La. was arrested on 01/27/2016 @ 8:56pm.

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on Hwy 70 crossing the lane of travel.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Lydia J Cruz. During the stop the officer observed a small child inside the vehicle that was not in a proper child retraint. A drivers license check revealed that Cruz had a suspended drivers license. Cruz was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

     Jana N Jones came into the Morgan City Police Department where she was arrested on a active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Jones was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Brian L Weston, 27 years of age, Address: St. Clair St. Berwick , La. was arrested on 02/02/2016 @ 1:41am.

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle with improper rear lighting traveling out of its lane of travel on Hwy 182 near the US 90 and La. 70 junction. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Brian L Weston. During the investigation Weston's behavior aroused officers suspicions that he may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search of the vehicle was conducted when officers located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Weston was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle with a busted windshield traveling on Ninth Street.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Eli H Fargo. Officers also noticed the vehicle to have several lights missing and no tread on the tires. During the investigation Fargo's behavior aroused officers suspicions that he may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search was conducted when officers located suspected maijuana and drug paraphernalia. The location of the incident was in the area of a local school. Fargo was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Billi Driskell, 40 years of age, Address: Park Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/28/2016 @ 1:30P.M.

     Billi Driskell came in to the Morgan City Police Department where she turned herself in on an active arrest warrant held by Morgan City Police. Driskell was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

     Officers responded to a local store in regards to a report of a shoplifter. The caller advised that the suspect had placed several items in his jacket and fled the store. A description of the subejct was provided when officer located Patrick L Augman in the area moments later. Reports indicated Augman began running from officer at which time officers chased Augman through several local business parking lots. Officers were able to capture Augman when he began shouting at officers and using profanity. Several items reported being taken from the store were located on Augman's person. A warrants check revealed that there were active arrest warrant for Augman held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court, the 16th Judicial Dist. Court and the 32nd Judicial Dist. Court. Augman was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he refused to cooperate with officers. Augman was eventually booked and remains incarcerated.

     Gilbert C Howard was located by officers in the area area of Everett St. near Fourth St. at which time he was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by Morgan City Police. Howard was transported to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Officers responded to an address on Laurel Street in regards to a report of a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke with two victims that told officers that Tyler Wilson and Eric Lynch forced their way into the residence and committed a battery on the two victims. The two suspects then left the residence in a dark colored vehicle. Marks consitent with a battery were observed on the victims by officers. A description of the vehicle was given out to local law enforcement agencies. The vehicle was located in Berwick when it was stopped by the Berwick Police Department and the occupants Tyler Wilson and Eric Lynch detained. After an investigation conducted by Morgan City Police Department officers, Both Wilson and Lynch were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

     Samantha Williams was arrested in the 6th Ward Morgan City Court in regard to active arrest warrants held by the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office. Wiliams was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Kurwin A Webb, 22 years of age, Address: Grace St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 01/26/2016 @ 4:06pm.

Charges:  Possession of Synthetic Marijuana (2nd Offense)
                  Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law 

     Officers responded to an address on Glenwood Street in regard to a subject sleeping in a parked vehicle. A description of the vehicle was provided when it was located and officers identified Kurwin A Webb to be asleep inside. During the investigation officers observed suspected synthetic marijuana inside the vehice. The location of the incident was within the area of a local elementary school in violation of unifored controlled dangerous substance laws. Webb was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     An officer responded to the area of Sixth St. near and Brashear Ave. in regard to a complaint of an intoxicated subject. Officers located James D Robinson who matched the description of the complaint in the area. While speaking with Robinson it was believed that Robinson had been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. A warrants check revealed that the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office held an active arrest warrant for Robinson. Robinson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
