     Jasmine Broussard turned herself in to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants she held for the Morgan City Police Department and the Sixth Ward City Court. Broussard was booked and incarcerated.

Ashley G. Hidalgo, Age- 32, Address- Tupelo St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/30/2015 @ 8:28 pm.

Charge:  Reckles Operation of a Vehicle with an Accident

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Maple and Sycamore St. in regards to a vehicle crash. Officers arrived and spoke to the driver of the vehicle, Ashley Hidalgo. Hidalgo stated she made a wide turn causing her to crash into a mailbox. Officers were able to see video surveillance of the crash. According to reports, Hidalgo was traveling at a high rate of speed, ran a stop sign and crashed into a mailbox. Hildago was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Allen C. Lennep, Age-59, Address-Freret St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/30/2015 @ 9:40 pm.

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Maine St. in regards to a theft. Officers arrived and spoke to the victim, who stated that Allen Lennep had stolen a cellphone and a pack of cigerettes from him. Officers were able to locate Lennep on Freret St. Officers observed Lennep appeared in an intoxicated condition. During the course of the investigation, officers located the items reported stolen in Lennep's possession. Lennep was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.  Once at the police department, it was learned that Lennep had given the officer a false name and held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. He was additionally charged.

John E. Aucoin, Age- 45, Address- Houma, La. was arrested on 11/20/2015 @ 6:46 am.

     John Aucoin was transported from the Terrebonne Parish Jail to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the Sixth Ward City Court and the Louisiana Department of Corrections.  Aucoin was booked and incarcerated. 

Carlos Gonzalez-Mejia, Age-28, Address- Eight St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/20/2015 @ 7:16 am.

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Eighth St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to the victim, who stated that Carlos Gonzalez-Mejia had committed a battery on him. Officers noticed marks on the victim's facial area consistent with his statement. Officers located Mejia inside the residence and he appeared intoxicated. Mejia was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Roscoe Williams, Age-58, Address- Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/20/2015 @ 10:43 pm.

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Railroad Ave. in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived, they spoke to the victim, who had a large laceration on his forehead. The victim stated that he had gotten into an altercation with Roscoe Williams and that Williams had struck him with a brick.  Officers located Williams and according to reports, Williams admitted to striking the victim with a brick. Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. The victim was transported to a local hospital for his injury. 

Danielle L. Bennett, Age- 26, Address- First St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/21/2015 @ 3:57 pm.

Tamra L. Manning, Age- 33, Adddress- First St. Morgan City, La was arrested on 11/21/2015 @ 3:57 pm.

     Both Danielle Bennett and Tamra Manning were already incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail, when an additional charge of Cruelty to a Juvenile was placed on them. The Morgan City Police Department Detective Division conducted an investigation beginning on November 18, 2015, which alleges both Bennett and Manning committed a battery on an eight year old male. Both Bennett and Manning were booked and continue to be incarcerated.

     Jacob Salley was located on Victor II Blvd. A warrants check was done on Salley and it was determined that he held an active warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court. Salley was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Kerry A. Martin, Age- 19, Address- Garber St. Morgan City. La. was arrested on 11/22/2015 @ 12:41 am.

     Officers were dispatched to a local convenience store on Hwy 182 in regards to an individual under age wanting to purchase alcohol. When the officers arrived, management stated that Nicholas Feliciano was trying to make a purchase of alcohol, but was under age. Officers spoke to Feliciano and could smell a strong odor alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. According to reports, Feliciano admitted to trying to purchase alcohol for he and another individual waiting outside for him. Officers located Kerry Martin, who had driven Feliciano to the store. Martin was asked to produce a valid driver's license and it was determined that Martin did not have a valid driver's license. Officers also noticed open containers of alcohol on the driver's side of the vehicle. Both Feliciano and Martin were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

     Officers located Rodolfo Ramirez in the parking lot of a local bar on Victor II Blvd. Ramirez was sitting inside of a truck and officers asked him to exit the vehicle.  As officers approached, they notice that Ramirez was unable to maintain his balance and they could smell a strong odor alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Ramirez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.  

Felix D. Oclair, Age- 20, Address- St. Augustine, FL was arrested on 1/22/2015 @ 10:27 pm.

     A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 182 near Eleventh St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Felix Oclair was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Oclair's driver's license was under suspension. Oclair was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

     A patrol officer in the area of Brashear Ave. observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal while turning on to Sixth St. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Andy Volquez was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Volquez's driver's license was suspended. Volquez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Tyler E. Brewer, Age- 23, Address- Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/26/2015 @ 2:30 pm.

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Elm St. in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived witnesses stated that Tyler Brewer had gotten into a verbal altercation with a family member and he had consumed a large amount of alcohol. Officers made contact with Brewer and could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Brewer was yelling and using profanities, when officer asked him to calm down, he refused. Brewer was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Moesas Hernandez, Age- 24, Address- Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was placed under arrest on 11/26/2015 @ 8:45 pm. 


Charge:  Domestic Abuse Battery

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Fourth St. in regards to a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to the vicitm, who stated that her boyfriend, Moesas Hernandez and her had gotten into a verbal altercation which turned physical when Hernadez struck her in the face with a closed fist. Officers did observe marks on the vicitm's facial area consistent with her statements. A description of Hernandez was given out and he was located on Patton St. Hernandez was asked about the incident, but reports indicated he denied committing the battery on the victim. Hernandez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Michael L. Falgout, Age- 30, Address- Myrtle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/27/2015 @ 2:26 am.

     Officers were dispatched to a local hotel on Roderick St. in regards to an intoxicated individual trying to get into a vehicle. Officers arrived and a witness pointed out the individual identified as Michael Falgout laying on the ground. Officers made contact with Falgout who had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Officers also located a pair of brass knucles in Falgout possession. Falgout was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Upon exiting the patrol unit, Falgout began to run a short distance while still in handcuffs, but was unable to maintain his balance and fell causing abbrassions to the right side of his face. Falgout was treated for his injury. He was later booked and incarcerated.

     Officers were dispatched to a local business on Hwy 70 in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived the individual causing the disturance had left the pemissses. A description was given out and officers located the individual identified as David Woods in the area. Officers observed that Woods could not maintain his balance and had an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Woods was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Hugh C. Brown, Age- 54, Address- Second St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/27/2015 @ 9:43 pm. 


Charge:  Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated

     Officers were dispatched to a local business on Hwy 70 in regards to a vehicle crashing into the building and that the driver appeared to be under the influence. Officers arrived and spoke to the driver, Hugh Brown. Brown was asked to produce a valid driver's license. While speaking to Brown, the officer observed Brown was unable to maintain his balance and had slurred speech. Brown was asked to perform the standardized field soberity test, which he performed poorly. Brown was placed under arrest and transported the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Brown submitted to the chemical test for intoxication, his results indicated a .000 g% bac. According to reports, Brown did admit to taking medication that causes drowsiness. Brown was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, he was booked and incarcerated.

Anthony D. Gant, Age- 34, Address- Rayne, La. was arrested on 11/28/2015 @ 1:05 am.

     A patrol officer in the area of Front St. and Brashear Ave. observed a vehicle fail to use its turn signal, while turning onto Brashear Ave. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Anthony Gant was asked to produce a valid driver's licence. A warrants check was done on Gant and it was determined that he held active warrants for the Sixteenth Judical District Court. Gant was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Donald E. Byrd, Age- 45, Address-Freret St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/28/2015 @ 8:45 pm.

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Freret St. in regards to an individual making threats. Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses that stated Donald Byrd was yelling and making threats to the his neighbors. Officers located Byrd at his residence and he was asked about his comments, but denied making the statements. Byrd was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

     A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 182 and Everett St. observed a vehicle traveling with that a flat tire.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Mary Picklesimer was asked to produce a valid driver's license. While speaking with Picklesimer, the officer could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath. Picklesimer was asked to perform the standardized field sobrity test, but refused. Picklesimer was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Picklesimer was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication, she refused. She was then charged with Operating a Vehice While Intoxicated. While booking Picklesimer, she became combative and kicked an officer. The officer was able to subdue Picklesimer. She remains incarcerated.

Hugo Perez- Zamudio, Age- 24, Address- Village Lane, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/28/2015 @ 10:22 pm.

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Egle St. in regards to a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to the victim, who stated she was outside of her residence when her husband, Hugo Zamudio pulled up in his vehicle, got out the vehicle and began striking her in the face. According to reports, Zamudio forced the victim into his vehicle and he drove off and continued to commit a battery on her. The victim was able to convince Zamudio to bring her back to her residence, he then fled. Officers observed  marks on the victim consistent with her statements. A description of Zamudio and his vehicle were given out. Zamudo was located by the St. Mary Sheriffs Office  on Village Lane and detained for questioning, Zamudo was asked about the incident, but denied involvment. Zamudio was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set at this time. 

Lona Washingon, Age- 50, Address- Donaldsonville, La. was arrested on 11/29/2015 @ 2:30 pm

     A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 182 and Federal Ave. observed a vehicle going faster than the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Lona Washington was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Washington's driver's license was suspended. Washington was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Keiera Wood, Age- 19, Address- Canary St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/29/2015 @ 2:34 pm.

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Mallard St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to Keiera Wood and Alishica Wells. Officers observed signs on both indvividuals that a physical altercation had taken place. According to reports, both Wood and Well admitted to fighting. Both were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

     A patrol officer in the area of Levee Rd. and Federal Ave. observe a vehicle cross the center line several times. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Erick Deleon was asked to produce a valid driver's license. While speaking to Deleon, the officer observed several open containers of alcoholic beverages in the vehilce. A computer check revealed that Deleon did not a have a valid driver's license. The officer also located suspected marijuana in Deleons's possession along with items used to smoke illegal narcotics. Deleon was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Charge:  Monetary Instrument Abuse

     The Morgan City Police Department Detective Division has been conducting an investigation of counterfeit money being used at several locations in the area. The counterfeit bills are described as "prop money" and are used for motion pictures. Information was received that one of the bills was used at a local bar and the suspect was in the area of Belenger St. A description of the individual was given out and officers located the suspect, identified as Vanisha August in the area of Federal Ave. and Belanger St. August was detained for questioning and according to reports, admitted to using the counterfeit money.  August was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. The investigation continues and more arrests are expected.

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Gen Hodges St. in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived, they spoke to witnesses that stated John Pitre was having a verbal altercation with them.  Officers made contact with Pitre and observed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. While speaking to officers, Pitre continued to use profanities and refused to lower his voice. Pitre was asked several times to calm down, but he refused. Pitre was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

     On officer was patrolling the area of Federal Ave. near Wise Street when a vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed. The location that the vehicle was observed speeding was within the zone of a local school. The vehicle was clocked traveling 51 mph in a 15 mph school speed limit zone. A traffic stop was conducted when the driver was identified as Linda M Durkins. While speaking with Linda Dukins the officer noticed that there was a small child two years of age in the rear of the vehicle that was not in a child restaint system. The officer also spoke with a female passenger who was inside of the vehicle who at first identified herself as Lisa Smith. According to reports both LInda Durkins and the passenger appeared to be nervous. The officer was given consent to search the vehicle when the officer located suspected marijuana and Oxycodone which Linda Durkins told the officer was hers. During the course of the investigation reports indicated that the passenger had given the offier a false name and that her name was actually Angela M Dukins. A warrants check revealed that the Terrebone Parish Sheriff's Office held arrest warrants for Angela Dukins arrest. Both Linda Dukins and Angela Durkins were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police where they were booked and incarcerated. 

Gerald K Collins, 22 years of age, Address: New Iberia, La. was arrested on 11/19/2015 @ 9:43 P.M.

     An officer was patrolling the area of Victor II Blvd. when a vehicle was observed turing from Victor II Blvd. onto Clothide Street with out the proper use of a turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted when the driver was identified as Gerald K Collins Jr.. While speaking with Collins reports indicate the he very nervous and agitated. The Morgan City Police Department K-9 unit was also on scene to assist. Collins began yelling and cursing at the officers. Collins was placed under arrest when he began fighting with officers. Reports indicate that during the fight one of the officers was kicked by Collins several times.  After a short struggle Collins was handcuffed and placed into the rear of a patrol car. The K-9 was deployed when it showed an odor response for possible ilegal narcotics inside of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted when officer located suspected marijuana which was believed to be packaged for distribution. Reports indicate that the location of the incident was within the area of a local school. Collins was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.
