Charges: Disturbing the peace by Fighting

     Officers were called to Egle St. due to a disturbance in the area.  Officers located the victim and several witnesses and spoke with them.  Officers learned that Harvey and another subject began to argue during which time Harvey and other subject began to fight.  Officers placed Harvey under arrest and transported him to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.  The other subject was taken to Teche Medical Center and treated and released for minor injuries.  The investigation is ongoing.

Dean Darby, 25 years of age, Address-Second St., Morgan City,La was arrested @ 9:49 am

                 Warrant-FTA for Disturbing the Peace(City Court of Morgan City)
     Dean Darby was arrested by the Franklin Police Department for warrants from the City Court of Morgan City.  Darby was transported back to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated in the Morgan City Police Department jail.

Jalen Walker, 20 years of age, Address-Adams St., Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/21/2015 @ 3:04 pm


Charges: Possession with intent to Distribute Sch1-Synthetic Marijuana
                 Possession with intent to Distribute Sch 1-MDMA
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

        An officer located Kyle Rhett, whom had warrants from the City Court of Morgan City at a local motel.  During the arrest of Rhett the officer observed a pill on the floor that appeared to be MDMA.  The officer also noticed a small bag with serval pills suspected to be MDMA.  The officer secured the room and the other subject in the room identified as Jalen Walker and applied for a search warrant.  After the gaining a search warrant the officers located suspected Synthetic Marijuana which was packaged for sale along with items of suspected drug paraphernalia.  The area is near a drug and firearm free zone.

Travonta Ausama, 21 years of age, Address-Robin St., Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/24/2015 @ 8:53 am.


Charges:Warrant- Monetary Instrument Abuse 

     Travonta Ausama was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on Warrants for Monetary Instrument Abuse.  The arrest stems from a November 19, 2015 incident where Ausama is suspected of passing a counterfeit bill at a local business.  Ausama was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.

Lesley Penn, 49 years of age, Address-Chirpy Lane, Amelia, La was arrested on 12/24/2015 @ 12:49 pm


Charge: Warrant-Attempted Theft by Fraud

     Lesley Penn was located by a officer patrolling the area of Duke St.  The officer knew that Penn had outstanding warrants with Morgan City Police Department.  Penn was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.  The warrant stems from an attempted theft from a local business.

Tommy Morgan, 26 years of age, Address- Franklin,La was arrested on 12/24/2015 @ 4:21 pm


Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery in the Presence of a Juvenile
                 No Driver's License

     Officers responded to a disturbance call in the Belanger St area.  Officers arrived and spoke with several witnesses who stated that Mr. Morgan was observed hitting a female several times.  Officers also learned that Mr. Morgan stopped his vehicle on top of the U.S. Hwy 90 Bridge in Morgan City and attempted to remove a child from the car.  After speaking with the victim and witnesses,  Mr. Morgan was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department.

Charles Bikey, 57 years of age, Address-Carol Rd, Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/24/2015 @ 5:53 pm


Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
                 Resisting and Officer
                 Disturbing the Peace by using Profanity

     Officers were called to a Hwy 182 Business due to a male subject causing a disturbance.  Officers arrived and spoke with Charles Bikey was found to be intoxicated.  As officer were speaking with Bikey he continued to use profane language in front of employees and customers of the business.  Officer advised Bikey to calm down several times, however he refused to do so.  Bikey was advised he was under arrest and as officers attempted to place him in handcuffs, he began to resist the officers.  Bikey was restrained and handcuffed before being transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Elsee Spencer, 59 years of age, Address-Cherry St. Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/25/2015 @5:32 pm. 


Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery

    Officers were called to a Cherry St. residence due to a disturbance.  According to witness, Spencer became involved in an arguement, striking the victim.   Officers spoke with Spencer who admitted that he did strike the victim.  Spencer was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Henry Blackmon, 51 years of age, Address-Pensacola, Fl. was arrested on 12/25/2015 @ 11:04 pm


Charges: Appearing in Public Intoxicated

     A patrolling officer observed Blackmon and another subject in the Fifth St. area walking in the roadway in an impaired condition.  The officer instructed the subjects to return to their residence nearby for the evening. A short time later the officer located Blackmon walking in the area of Seventh St.  The officer stopped Blackmon who was intoxicated and placed him under arrest.  Blackmon was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Leah Owens, 37 years of age, Address-Levee Rd, Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/26/2015 @ 2:11 pm


Charges: Warrant-Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling
                 Resisting an Officer

     Officers investigating a complaint spoke with Leah Owens, the officer learned that Owens had outstanding warrants through the Morgan City Police Department.  The officer advised Owens of the warrant and that she was under arrest.  As officers were placing her in handcuffs she began to resist officers and after a short struggle she was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Steven Patureau, 54 years of age, Address-Laura Lee Ln, Morgan City, La was arrested on 12/26/2015 @ 7:16 pm

Charges: Wrong way on One Way Street
                 Possession of Sch 1-Marijuana 

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling west in the eastbound lane of Brashear Ave near the area of Second St.  The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver Steven Patureau.  As the officer spoke with Patureau, the officer noticed Patureau was very nervous.  While speaking with the officer Pautreau admitted that he had a small amount of Marijuana in his vehicle.  The officer located the suspected Marijuana and placed Patureau under arrest.  Patureau was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

     An officer investigating a disturbance spoke with Wesley Davis.  Davis was found to have outstanding warrants from the St. Mary Parish Drug Court for Failure to Appear.  Davis was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Charges:Disturbing the Peace

     Officers were called to First St due to a disturbance, where officers located several subjects.  Officer began to investigate the disturbance and spoke with the subjects in the area.  Officer learned that two groups of subjects began to argue and at some point Beadle is accused of striking one of the other subjects.  Officers also learned that Streva followed one of the subjects trying to leave and kept yelling during this time.  Both subjects were placed under arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Ernest Johnson, 24 years of age, Address-Joseph St. Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/28/2015 @1:31 am

Charges: Warrants- St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office(FTA for Speeding, No Driver's License)

     Officers investigating a complaint in the area of Filmore St. came into contact with Johnson.  A warrants check was done and Johnson was found to be wanted by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's office on warrants for Failure to Appear for Court.  Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Jessie Hart, 23 years of age, Address-Houma, La was arrested on 12/22/2015 @ 9:30 am

Charge: Warrant FTA-Resisting an Officer(City Court of Morgan City)

    Jesse Hart was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Police Department Jail Facility when it was found that he had a second outstanding warrant for his arrest.  Hart was booked on the warrant and remains incarcerated at this time.

Janna Gilmore, 30 years of age, Address-Acremont St., Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/22/2015 @3:05 pm


Charge: Contempt of Court

     Officers were called to assist City Court of Morgan City after it appeared that two subject in the court were under the influence of some type of intoxicants.  Officer arrested Janna Gilmore and John Jones on Contempt of Court.  Both subjects were brought to the Morgan City Police Department Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

     An officer while doing a walk through at Morgan City High School was advised of a fight which had taken place.  The officer learned that a student struck another student and knocked out one of his teeth.  The officer learned that the victim did not fight back and was not charged.  The officer placed the other student under arrest and transported him to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and released.

Natoya Singleton, 24 years of age, Address-Chetta Lane, Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/18/2015 @ 2:16 pm

                   Warrant- FTA for Restitution hearing
     An officer in the area of Apple St. observed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker.  The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver identified as Natoya Singleton.  While speaking with Singleton the officer learned that her driver's license was expired and the Morgan City Police Department held a warrant for her arrest for FTA in City Court of Morgan City.  Singleton was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.  She was later released after posting bond.

                Driving under Suspension
     A officer patrolling the area of Duke St. observed a vehicle with only one working headlight.  The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver identified as Scott Comeaux.  While speaking with Comeaux the Officer learned that Comeaux was driving with a suspended driver's license.  Comeaux was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. Comeaux was later released after posting bond.

                  Warrant-FTA No Driver's License-City Court of Thibodeaux
                 
     An officer in the area of Hwy 182 near Eleventh St. observed a vehicle with only one headlight.  The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver identified as Jeremy LaCarte.  LaCarte admitted to the officer that he did not have a driver's License.  The officer ran a computer check and confirmed that LaCarte did not have a driver's license.  LaCarte was also found to have warrants from the City Court of Thibodeaux for failing to appear.  LaCarte was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

     Jesse Hart turned himself in at the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked on a Warrant from City Court of Morgan City for Probation Violation.

Patsy Durocher, 20 years of age, Address-Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/20/2015 @ 2:09 am

Charge: Reckless Operation of a Vehicle

     Officers were called to a Hwy 182 business after a vehicle was driving reckless in the parking lot.  The officer arrived and located the vehicle in the parking lot.  The officer spoke with store employees who identified the driver of the vehicle to officers.  The officers spoke with the driver Patsy Durocher.  Officers learned that as Durocher entered the parking area she hit a curb and then started to spin her tires in the parking lot almost striking a gas pump.  Durocher seemed intoxicated, but did not smell of alcohol.  The officer placed Durocher under arrest and transported her to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.  The investigation is ongoing

Charges: Driving Under Suspension
                 Switched License Plate
                 Hit and Run Driving
     Officers were called to a Roderick St. address where they learned that a black vehicle had struck parked vehicle.  The officers were given a description and a license plate to the vehicle.  Officer located the vehicle and identified the driver as Rodney Williams.  Williams spoke with officers but stated that he was not driving the vehicle, but a friend was however he could not tell officer where the friend was at this time.  The officer located damage to the vehicle and parts of a light which matched the evidence left at the scene.  Williams was also found to have switched the license plate on the vehicle he was driving.  A computer check also showed Williams had a suspended driver's license.  Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Travis Singleton, 32 years of age, Address-Leona St, Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/20/2015 @ 9:18 am


Charges: Hit and Run Driving
                Careless Operation of a Vehicle      An officer patrolling the area of Fourth St. observed a vehicle with damage on the side of the road.  The officer noticed that the vehicle also appeared to have been drug from the road recently.  The officer then located a second parked vehicle which had been struck in the area.  The officer located the driver of the first vehicle and identified as Travis Singleton.  The officer spoke with Singleton was stated that his front wheel came off of his vehicle at which time he stopped.  Singleton stated that someone came outside of a residence and assisted him in pushing the vehicle off the roadway.  Evidence located by the officer showed that Singleton struck the parked car and drove a short distance before stopping.  Singleton was placed under arrest and transported the Morgan City Police Department.

Alex Soto, 21 years of age, Adrress-Fedeal Ave, Morgan City,La was arrested on 12/20/2015 @ 12:26 pm 

Charges: Hit and Run Driving
                 No Drivers License
                 Improper left turn


    Officers were called to an accident in the area of Victor II Blvd and La 70.  Before arriving at the scene the officers learned that one of the vehicles was leaving the scene.  That vehicle was being followed.  The officer were able to stopped the vehicle at Myrtle St. and Hwy 182 and speak with the driver identified as Alex Soto.  Soto stated that he had hit something, but did not know what he hit.  Officers spoke with the driver of the second vehicle who stated that Soto turned left in front of her, where she attempted to stop but could not do so.  She stated that after striking her vehicle Soto kept going.  Officers learned that Soto did not have a valid license.  Soto was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking.
