Keith A. Caywood, 52 years of age, Address-Franklin, La. was arrested on 10/14/2015 @ 11:27 am.


Charge:  Warrant- Failure to Appear ( No Driver's License)
                Warrant- Failure to Appear (Stop Sign Violation)

     Keith Caywood was transported from the Franklin Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Caywood was booked and incarcerated.

Katherine Maher, 19 years of age, Address- Bernice St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/14/2015 @ 8:01 pm. 


Charge:  Engaging In a Fistic Encounter

Ashlyn R. Morgel, 18 years of age, Address- Filmore St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/14/2015 @ 8:13 pm. 


Charge:  Engaging in a Fistic Encounter

     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Filmore St. in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived, witnessess informed officers that Katherine Maher and Ashlyn Morgel had gotten into a physical altercation, Officers were able to speak to both parties involved and according to reports, Maher and Ashlyn both admitted to engaging in a physical altercation. Both were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Rashaud A. Thomas, 21 years of age, Address- Grace St. Morgan City, La was arrested on 10/14/2015 @ 9:21 pm.


Charge:  Driving Under Suspension
                Speeding (48 in a 35 )
                Warrant- Failure to Appear ( Possession of Marijuana)

   A patrol officer in the area of LA Hwy 182 and David Dr. observed a vehicle traveling at a rate higher than what was posted.  A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, Rashaud Thomas was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Thomas driver's license was suspended. Thomas also held an active warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court. Thomas was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

The following persons have been arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning on 10/12/2015.


Christine Pitre, 36 years of age, Address: Fortins Street, Berwick, La. was arrested on 10/12/2015 @ 5:05 P.M. 

Charge: Theft of Goods (Shoplifting)


     An officer responded to Rouse's Super Market in regards to a female subject shoplifting. The officer arrived and the suspect was identified as Christine Pitre. Witnesses stated that Pitre was observed placing items into her purse to conceal them. According to reports the items were located inside Pitre's purse. Pitre was paced under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Donald R. Turner, 33 years of age, Address: South Everett Street, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/12/2015 @ 7:19 P.M.


Charges:  Possession of Marijuana (less then 15 grams)

Danielle E. Kinkle 22 years of age, Address: Mercury Street, Pierre Part, La. was arrested on 10/12/2015 @ 5:37 P.M.

     Officers responded to a residence on South Everett Street in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and located Donald R. Turner and Danielle E. Kinkle at the residence. During the course of the investigation officers observed in plain view suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Officers were given consent to search the residence and according to reports officers located more suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia which both Kinkle and Turner stated belonged to them. Both Kinkle and Turner was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Cody D. Coleman, 29 years of age, Address: 906 Duke Street, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/12/2016 @ 9:23 P.M.


Charge:  Domestic Abuse Battery

     Officers responded to an address on Duke Street in regards to a domestic disturbance. Upon officers arrival, Cody D. Coleman along with the victim of a suspected battery was located inside of the residence. According to reports evidence of the battery was obtained by officers. Coleman was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Kord T. Atkinson, 29 years of age, Address: Keith Street, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/12/2015 @ 9:27 P.M.


Charges:  Driving Under Suspension
                 Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
     An officer was patrolling the area of Federal Ave. near Leona Street. While dong so the officer observed a vehicle traveling at a rate of speed higher than the posted speed limit. The officer then observed the vehicle turn onto Leona Street in a careless manner. A traffic stop was conducted and Kord T. Atkinson was identified as the driver of the vehicle. Atkinson was asked to produce a valid drivers license. A drivers license check was conducted and according to reports Atkinson's drivers license was under suspension. Atkinson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Derek Gaskins, 35 years of age, Address: Friendship Alley, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/12/2015 @ 10:31 P.M.

                 Warrants held by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department for:

     An officer was patrolling the area of Railroad Ave near Myrtle Street when the officer observed a vehicle traveling in the wrong lane of travel and the driver throwing out what appeared to be styrofoam cups out of the window. A traffic stop was conducted when the driver of the vehicle got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. Officer gave chase and the driver of the vehicle identified as Derek Gaskins was captured. A drivers license check was conducted and according to reports Gaskins had a suspended drivers license. A warrants check was conducted and it was learned the the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department held several warrants for Gaskins's arrest. Gaskins was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Roslyn Daigle, 50 years of age, Address-Second St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/08/2015 @ 8:19 am. 


Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

     Officers were dispatched to residence on Second St. in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived, they observed Roslyn Daigle in the front of her residence yelling profanities. Officers made contact with Daigle, who appeared intoxicated. Daigle was asked several times to lower her voice and to calm down, but she refused. Daigle was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Ernest W. Dupont, 18 years of age, Address- Lafayette, La. was arrested on 10/08/2015 @ 9:15 am. 


Charge:  Theft by Shoplifting

          Officers were dispatched to a local business on Victor II Blvd. in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived and were told by management that Ernest Dupont had tried leaving the store and the theft alarm alerted employees. According to reports,  Dupont was detained by store employees and items were found in Dupont's possession that he did not purchase. Items taken totaled $14.07.  Dupont was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Marc A. Viola, 24 years of age, Address- Barrow St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/08/2015 @ 9:16 am.


Charge: Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated
               Careless Operation

     Officers responded to a vehicle crash in the area of  Fourth St. and Brashear Ave. When officers arrived, they observed a vehicle upside down with the driver still inside.  Morgan City Fire Department and an ambulance service were contacted. The driver, Marc Viola was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Officers were able to determine that Viola's vehicle side swiped a stop sign then stuck a guide line causing the vehicle to flip. Officers did speak to Viola at the hospital and according to reports, Viola showed signs of impairment. Viola was asked to submit to a test for intoxication, Viola refused. Once released from the hospital, Viola was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Fabiola Quintanilla, 24 years of age, Address- Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/08/2015 @ 10:15 am. 


Charge:  Warrant- Unauthorized Use of an Access Card (3cts) value $46.54
                Warrant- Failure to Appear (4cts)

     Fabiola  Quintanilla turn herself in to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants she held for the Sixth Ward City Court and the Morgan City Police Department. Quintanilla was booked and incarcerated.

Nigel L. Singleton, 22 years of age, Address- Marshal St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/08/2015 @ 1:15 pm. 


Charge:  Simple Battery
     Officers were dispatched to a residence on Seventh St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and observed a male subject, identified as Nigel Singleton chasing a female. Singleton was detained by officers.  According to reports, officers spoke to the female, who stated that she and  Singleton were having a verbal altercation, which lead to him striking her several times. Witnesses in the area also stated that they observed Singleton strike the female. Singleton was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Richard Oveal, 38 years of age, Address: Martin Luther King Blvd., Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/13/2015 @ 12:32 P.M.

Charge: Warrant - Failure to Appear to Pay Probation Fee (6th Ward City Court)
     Richard Oveal was transported from the Patterson Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department in regards to an active warrant for his arrest by the 6th Ward City Court. Oveal was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail and incarcerated.

Nakeisa Walker, 36 years of age, Address: Domino Dr., Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/13/2015 @ 12:56 P.M. 


Charges:  Warrant- Failure to Appear for Restitution
                 Warrant- Contempt of Court
                 Warrant- Failure to Appear to Pay Fines      Nakeisa Walker was transported by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office to the Morgan City Police Departent in regards to active warrants held for her arrest by the 6th Ward City Court. Walker was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail and incarcerated.

Edner F. Lopez, 36 years of age, Address: Kidd Street, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/13/2015 @ 1:15 P.M. 


Charge: Appearing in Public Intoxicated      Officers responded to an address on Grizzaffi Street in regards to a subject that reportedly had a weapon and was refusing to leave. Officers arrived on scene but the subject in question had already left the residence. Officers then observed Edner Lopez who fit the description of the subject involved walking in the area. Officers  came into contact with Lopez at which time  Lopez allowed officers to search his person for weapons but none were located. Reports indicated that while in contact with Lopez, it was believed that he had been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Edner was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Departent where he was booked and incarcerated.

Celina M. Lipari, 38 years of age, Address: Cremo Street, Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/13/2015 @ 8:36 P.M.

Donald E. Hull, 50 years of age, Address: Grey Eagle Street, Jeanerette, La. was arrested on 10/13/2015 @ 8:36 P.M.

Charges:  Improper Lighting (Two Headlamps Required)
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Possession of Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance (Subutex)      Officers were patrolling the area of Fourth St. near Everett St. when a vehicle was observed traveling on Everett St. when improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted, the driver was identified as Donald E. Hull and passenger as Celina M. Lipari. Hull was asked to pruduce a valid drivers license when according to reports Hull appeared to be reaching under his seat. Both Hull and Lipari exited the vehicle and appeared to be nervous. Hull gave officers permissoin to search the vehicle at which time suspected Subutex and drug paraphernalia was located. Lipari had also given officers persmission to serach her person at which time suspected Subutex was located on her person. Both Hull and Lipari were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Michelle B. Ratcliff, 40 years of age, Address: Sixth St., Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/14/2015 @ 12:30 A.M. 

Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery
                Resisting an Officer      Officers responded to a local bar on Hwy 182 in regards to a disturbance inside. Officers arrived on scene and located a subject who appeared to have been the victim of a battery. The victim stated he and is wife Michelle B. Ratcliff were inside talking when she struck him several times. Reports indicated that witnesses also observed Ratcliff striking her husband serveral times. Contact was made with Ratcliff at which time she refused to cooperate with officers and took and aggresive stance towards them. Ratcliff was placed under arrest at which time she began to activly resist officers. After a short struggle Ratcliff was handcuffed and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Wendy L. Taylor, 53 years of age, Address: Lagonda Lane, Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/14/2015 @ 2:29 A.M. 

Charges:  Improper Lane Usage
                 Driving While Intoxicated. 
     Officers were patroling the Hwy 182 near the area of Justa Street when a vehicle was observed swerving out of its lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Wendy L. Taylor. Taylor was asked to produce a valid drivers license. Reports indicated that while officers were in contact with Taylor, it was  believed that she had been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated. Taylor was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further testing which she refused. Taylor was booked into the Morgan City Police Deprtment Jail and incarcerated.

Nicholas A. Breaux, 37 years of age, Address-Pierre Part, La. was arrested on 10/09/2015 @ 5:04 pm.

  Nicholas Breaux was located in the area of Federal Ave. and Egle St. A local warrants check was done on Breaux and it was determined that held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court and the Sixteenth Judicial District Court. Breaux was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Vaughn J. Bourque, 48 years of age, Address- Patton St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/09/2015 @ 10:39 pm.


Charge:  Reckless Operation of a Vehicle
                Hit and Run Driving
                Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated 2nd Offense

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Hwy 70 near Victor II Blvd  in regards to a reckless driver that had hit several street signs.  A description of the vehicle was given out and officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of a local business on Victor II Blvd. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Vaughn Bourque was asked ro exit the vehicle. Officers observed that Bourque appeared intoxicated and was unable to maintain his balance, while talking to officers.  Bourque was asked to perform the Standard Field Soberity Test, in which he performed poorly.  Bourque was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Bourque was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication. Bourque refused and was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. Bourque was booked and incarcerated.

Pablo C. Fonte, 58 years of age, Address- Veterans Blvd. Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/10/2015 @ 10:59 am. 


Charge:  Appearing in Public Intoxicated

    Officers were dispatched to a local business in regards to an individual passed out in one of the restrooms.  Officers arrived and made contact with Pablo Fonte. Fonte appeared to be intoxicated and officers could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Fonte was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Andres R. Mendoza, 22 years of age, Address- Houma, La. was arrested on 10/11/2015 @ 2:15 am. 


Charge:  Appearing in Public Intoxicated. 

     An officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Bush St. observed an individual walking that appeared to be intoxicated. The officer made contact with the individual, identified as Andres Mendoza. Mendoza had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Mendoza was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Oscar B. Ochoa, 48 years of age, Address- Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/11/2015 @ 8:38 pm.


Charge:  Hit and Run Driving
                No Driver's License
                Careless Operation


     Officers were dispatched to the area of Sixth and Terrebonne St. in regards to a hit and run vehicle crash. When officers arrived, the victim stated that her vehicle was hit and the driver of the other vehicle did not stop. A description of the suspect vehicle was given out. The vehicle was located in the area of Front St., but the driver was not inside. Morgan City Police Department received information that the driver of the vehicle could be located at a residence on Amelia St. Officers arrived at the residence and made contact with the driver, Oscar Ochoa. According to reports, Ochoa did admit to driving the vehicle and causing the crash. Ochoa was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

James R. Goode, 39 years of age, Address- LA Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/11/2015 @ 10:39 pm.


Charge:  Hit and Run Driving 
                No License Plate
                Improper Backing

     A patrol officer was dispatched to a residence on Roderick St. in regards to a hit and run vehicle crash. Officers made contact with the victim, who stated that she witness the suspect vehicle back into her vehicle and proceeded on. A description of the vehicle was given out and the vehicle was located at a local business on LA Hwy 182. Officers noticed damage to the vehicle consistent with the damage of the vicitm's vehicle. The vehicle also did not have a license plate. The driver, James Goode was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration,

Frank R. Casteel, 28 years of age, Address- LA Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/11/2015 @ 11:02 pm. 


Charge:  Warrant- Possession of Sch I Marijuana
                Warrant- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
     Frank Casteel was a passenger in a traffic stop and a local warrants check was done on Casteel. It was determined that he held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. Casteel was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Caffery J. Williams, 49 years of age, Address- Garber St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/07/2015 @ 11:40 am.

     Caffery Williams was located on Garber St. A local warrants check was done on Williams and it was determined that he held active warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court. Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jose Victor, 29 years of age, Address- Houma, La. was arrested on 10/07/2015 @ 2:37 pm. 


Charge:  Driver Must Be Licensed
                Speeding (42 in posted 15)

     A patrol officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Wise St. obseved a vehicle going faster than the speed posted. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Jose Victor was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Victor did not have a valid driver's license. Victor was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Patrick Augman, 41 years of age, Address-Como St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/07/2015 @ 3:30 pm. 


Charge:  Warrant- Theft under $750.00

     Patrick Augman was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held. Augman was booked and incarcerated.

Wyatt D. Brown, 27 years of age, Address- Garber St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/07/2015 @ 4:30 pm. 


Charge: No turn signal
               Possession of Marijuana

     A patrol officer in the area of Garber St. and Levee Rd. observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal, while turning on to Levee Rd. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Wyatt Brown was asked to produce a valid driver's license. During the course of the investigation, the officer located suspected marijuana in Brown's possession.  Brown was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Darrell A. Orgeron, 45 years of age, Address- Second St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 10/07/2015 @ 8:10 pm.

     A patrol officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Wise St. observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal, while turning on to Wise St. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Darrell Orgeron was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Orgeron's driver license was suspended. Orgeron was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Steven Butler, 30 years of age, Address-Tall Timbers Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/07/2015 @ 9:17 pm. 


Charge:  Possession of Sch I CDS (MDMA)
                Violation of Controlled Dangerous Substance Law

     The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division along with the St. Mary Parish Naroctics Division conducted a traffic stop on US Hwy 90 of a vehicle observed to be swerving in tne roadway. The driver, Jonathan Perry was asked to produce a valid driver's license. A computer check revealed that Perry's driver's license was suspended. The passenger, Steven Butler was asked to exit the vehicle. Consent to search the vehicle was given and located inside the vehicle were pills identified as MDMA and Alprazolam.  Both Perry and Butler were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
