Charge: Aggravated Battery; Resisting an Officer

Officers were dispatched to a Sycamore St. residence regarding a reported stabbing. Officers located and located a female, bleeding from the face who advised officers that she had been involved in a verbal altercation with an ex-boyfriend which turned physical at which time the victim was stabbed in the face area. Officers located the suspect, Mario Tejera in the rear of the residence, however, Tejera fled the scene and was captured by officers in the area. Officers detained the subject and recovered the weapon from the residence. According to the victim, who reported to officers that she was in the kitchen of the residence, she was struck by the suspect in the arm which caused the knife she was holding to strike her face, causing the injury. Mario Tejera was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated with a bond of $25,000.00.

Charge: Possession of Contraband in a Penal Institution; Abuse of Toxic Vapors

Officers encountered Emanuel Mercado who was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail facility. Mercado appeared impaired and upon further investigation, was found to possess and have used synthetic marijuana which he then introduced into the jail facility. The substance was then located inside a cell and the subject additionally charged. He was incarcerated with a bond of $16,000.00.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 182 in an erratic manner and stopped the vehicle to investigate. The driver, identified as Juan Robles was identified and found not to possess a valid drivers license. During the stop, Robles was found to be in possession of two small celophane bags of suspected cocaine which was seized. Robles was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarerated
Miguel A. Galeas, 25 years of age, Address-Roberts Dr. Houma, La. was arrested on 10/18/2014 @ 3:54am
Charge: Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated; No Drivers License; Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on Brashear Ave. in an erratic fashion and stopped the vehicle to investigate. The driver, Miguel Galeas appeared to be in an impaired condition and was given a field sobriety test which he failed. Galeas was found not to possess a valid drivers license and was in possession of open containers of alcoholic beverage inside his vehicle. Galeas was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was given an Intoxilyzer 5000 test which resulted in a result of a blood alcohol concentration of .219g%. Miguel Galeas was booked and incarcerated.
Corey M. Aleksines, 19 years of age, Address-Freret St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/18/2014 @ 4:25am
Charge: Reckless Operation of a Moving Vehicle; Hit & Run Driving; Abuse of Toxic Vapors

Officers were dispatched to the area of Fourth St. and Maine St. in regards to a vehicle striking a tree and then fleeing the scene. Officers arrived and were able to obtain a detailed description of the vehicle along with the license plate number. Officers located the vehicle at a Federal Ave. residence and observed the vehicle to be damaged. The driver, Corey Aleksines was identified and detained. Officers located a can of compressed air inside the vehicle and during the investigation, it was learned that Aleksines that he had intentionally inhaled the fumes from the can prior to the accident. Aleksines was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Myrtle St. and Railroad Ave. in an erratic manner. The vehicle was observed as it almost collided with a pedestrian on a bicycle. The vehicle was stopped on Railroad Ave. and the driver identified as Oscar Detrinidad who was found to be operatiing a vehicle without a drivers license nor motor vehicle insurance. Detrinidad was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated; Remaining on Premises after Being Forbid. Violation of a Protective Order

Officers were dispatched to a Highway 182 convenience store in regards to a subject threatening the clerk. Officers arrived and learned from the clerk and witnesses that Carlos Cespedes, who had been barred from that location and went to the location and threatened the clerk. Witnesses advised that Cespedes refused to leave and made threatening gestures indicating that the subject may be armed. Officers located Cespedes a short distance away and detained him. Cespedes, who was found to be under the restrictions of a protective order which barred him from contact with the victim was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner in the area of Ninth St. and Ditch Ave. and stopped the vehicle to investigate. The driver, Caffery Williams, according to reports, appeared to be in an impaired condition and was given a field sobreity test which he failed. Williams, who was also found to possess open containers of alcoholic beverage in his vehicle was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where an Intoxilyzer 5000 test indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .156g%. Williams was booked and incarcerated.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling at 60mph in a 30mph zone on Railroad Ave. The vehicle was observed weaving in opposing lanes of travel and was stopped to investigate. The driver, Vernon Robinson Jr. appeared to be in an impaired condition and was given a field sobriety test which he failed. Robinson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was given an Intoxilyzer 5000 test which results indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .224g%. He was booked and released after posting a cash bond.

Officers located Lee Pierce at the Berwick Police Department and placed him under arrest on an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. Pierce was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

A patrolling officer observed an apparent vehicle crash in the area of Railroad Ave. and stopped to investigate. During the investigation, it was learned that a vehicle, driven by Letitia Boudreaux had struck a parked vehicle causing damage to both vehicles. The driver, Boudreaux appeared impaired and was given a field sobriety test which she failed. She could not produce liability insurance and was subsequently placed under arrest. She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was given an Intoxilyzer 5000 test which indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .175g%. She was booked and incarcerated.

Officers observed Kevin Drexler, who did not possess a valid drivers license operating a vehicle on Egle St. and stopped the vehicle to investigate. Drexler could not produce proof of liability insurance and was subsequently arrested. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven in erratic manner on Federal Ave. and stopped the vehicle to investigate. The driver, Jarrett Picou could not produce insurance and appeared nervous. He was found to possess a pipe commonly used to consume illegal narcotics. He was placed under arrest. During the investigation, Picou was found to possess Oxycodone and Alprazolam, both controlled substances. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on Highway 182 with no visible license plate and stopped the vehicle to investigate. The driver, Danny Fulkes was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license. He could not provide registration nor vehicle insurance. Fulkes was found to have a temporary license plate that did not belong to the vehicle being driven. He was arrested. He was found to be in possession of open containers of alcoholic beverge in his vehicle along with a pipe commonly used to consume illegal narcotics. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Officers were dispatched to a Gen Patton residence regarding a domestic dispute. Officers arrived and encountered Troy Madise, who appeared intoxicated. According to witness, Madise had become involved in an arguement with a female at the residence and during the arguement, damaged a door glass to the residence causing the glass to strike a female at the residence causing minor injuries. Madise was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Officers were dispatched to a Roderick St. address regarding a domestic type disturbance. Officers arrived and encountered a male subject, Adrian Jazmin and a female, Heather Jazmin involved in an altercation. The officers detained the subjects and also located small children inside the residence. Both subjects, upon investigation were reportedly involved in physical altercation inside the residence. Both subjects were accused of striking the other. There was physical evidence and minor injuries on both subjects. They were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.
