   An officer in the area of Marguerite St. observed a vehicle going faster than the posted speed while in a school zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Tyler Porche was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Porche’s driver’s license was suspended and that he held an active warrant for the 6^th Ward City Court. The officer also found drug paraphernalia in Porche’s possession. Porche was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

      An officer on Brashear Ave. observed a vehicle fail to stop at a red light traffic signal. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Artha Williams was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed the status of Williams’ driver’s license was suspended. Reports indicate that Williams appeared intoxicated. Williams was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, but he refused. Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Williams submitted to the chemical test for intoxication. Williams’ results yielded a .221g% blood alcohol content. Williams was booked and incarcerated.

      A patrol officer in the area of Wren St. observed a vehicle cross the center line. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Jonathan Evans was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. During the course of the investigation, suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia was located inside Evans’ vehicle. While trying to place Evans under arrest, he began to yell and use profanities. He also began to resist officers but was subdued. Evans was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

   An officer on LA Hwy 182 observed a vehicle cross the center line. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Jesus Diaz was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that Diaz appeared intoxicated. Diaz was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, in which he performed poorly. Diaz was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Diaz submitted to the chemical test for intoxication. Diaz’s results yielded a .136g% blood alcohol content. Diaz was booked and incarcerated.

   Cherie Aucoin was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant she held for the department. The warrant stems from an incident on September 12 that alleges Aucoin had committed a theft at a local business on LA Hwy 182. Aucoin was booked and incarcerated.

   An officer in the area of Fourth St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Samuel Skipper was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Samuel’s driver’s license was suspended. Samuel also had suspected marijuana in his possession. The passenger in the vehicle, Gerron Skipper held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in August that alleges Gerron committed a battery on an individual. Both Samuel and Gerron were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

   Officers responded to a local medical facility on LA Hwy 70 in regards to a disturbance. Officer arrived and made contact with Ty Thai. Reports indicate that Thai appeared intoxicated and he was yelling profanities. Thai was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

   Officers responded to a local business on Fifth St. in regards to a battery that had been committed on an individual. Officers arrived and a description of the suspect was given to officers. Officers observed the suspect running through several yards. According to reports, an owner of a residence on Duke St. approached officers stating someone ran into her home and tried to prevent her from leaving. Officers located the suspect identified as Curtis Ray on Duke St. and placed him under arrest. Ray was also in possession of suspected marijuana. Ray was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

   An officer in the area of Sixth St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, Ryan Boudreaux was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. During the course of the investigation, suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle. Boudreaux was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

   Officers responded to LA Hwy 70 on the grounds of Lake End Park in regards to a vehicle that had crashed into a pole. Officers arrived and made contact with the driver, Shelby Gautreau. Gautreau sustained no injuries from the crash. Reports indicate that the officer could smell alcohol emitting from Gautreau’s breath. Gautreau was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, in which he performed poorly. Gautreau was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Gautreau submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and his results yielded a .142g% blood alcohol content. Gautreau was booked and incarcerated.

   Officers responded to a residence on Wren St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and made contact with an individual identified as Abram Granger. Granger was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Also, the area Granger was located is considered a drug free zone.  Granger was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

      A patrol officer observed a vehicle fail to use a turning signal while changing lanes on US HWY 90. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, Alexis Melendez-Davilia was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. During the course of the investigation, suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle. Melendez-Davilia was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

The warrant stems from an incident in May that alleges Santiago-Garcia stole 15 sacks of crawfish from a local business. Officers also located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in Santiago-Garcia possession. Santiago-Garcia was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jonathan Ashley, 30 years of age, Address-Ninth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/30/2018 @ 9:40 pm.

Charge: Theft under $1000

   Officers responded to a local business on LA Hwy 182 in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived and were given a description of the individual, who had left prior to their arrival. Officers were able to locate the individual fitting the description walking on LA Hwy 182 and he was identified as Jonathan Ashley. According to reports, Ashley admitted to the theft. Ashely was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Charge: Self-Mutilation by a Prisoner (2cts)

   Gerardo Santiago-Garcia, who was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail was found with lacerations on his forearm. It was determined that Santiago-Garcia had found an object to cause self-inflicting wounds. Santiago-Garcia was transported to a medical facility and treated for his injury. Santiago-Garcia was transported back to the Morgan City Jail and continues to be incarcerated.

     The Morgan City Police Department Detective Division located Bradly E. Druilhet at a residence on Paton St. and placed him under arrest for active warrants he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants stem from an incident on September 23^rd which alleges Druilhet forced way into a residence and committed a battery on an individual in the presence of a young child. While placing Druilhet into custody, officers noticed suspected cocaine on the kitchen counter. A search warrant was obtained for the residence.  Officers executed the search warrant and located suspected crack cocaine, cocaine package for sale, suspected heroin, a 9mm handgun, and drug paraphernalia. A computer check revealed that Druilhet is also a convicted felon which prohibits him from possessing a firearm. Druilhet was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Clarence T. Sheets Jr, 47 years of age, Address-Texas St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 09/27/2018 @ 12:27 pm.

Charge: Criminal Trespass

   Officers responded to a residence on Wytchwood Dr. for an individual trespassing on the property.

Officers arrived and made contact with the property owner, who stated that an individual identified as Clarence Sheets was on the property without permission. Officers located Sheets and reports indicate he admitted to being on the property. Sheets was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

While trying to place White under arrest for active warrants he held for the Morgan City Police Department and the 16^th Judicial District Court, he fled from officers but was apprehended a short time later. The warrants stem from an incident on September 26 where it is alleged that White committed a battery on the victim, who was also pregnant. White was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
