The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at a residence on Headland St. Officers came into contact with an individual identified as Jamal Gibson. According to reports, suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located inside the home. Gibson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Steven W. Davis, 42 years of age, Address- Versen St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 09/21/2018 @ 2:18 pm. Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear (3cts)
Steven Davis was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the 6
th Ward City Court. Davis was booked and incarcerated.
Sammie Pigott Jr, 48 years of age, Address- Francis St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 09/21/2018 8:17 pm. Charge: Theft under $1000.00

Officers responded to a local business on LA Hwy 182 in regards to a shoplifter. When officers arrived, management had an individual identified as Sammie Pigott detained. Reports indicated that Pigott tried leaving the store with items he did not purchase. The items totaled $53.58. Pigott also held active warrants with the 6
th Ward City Court. Pigott was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Robert Mulligan, 66 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 09/21/2018 @ 11:12 pm. Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
Officers responded to the area of Front and Freret St. for an individual causing a disturbance. Officers arrived and made contact with Robert Mulligan. Mulligan appeared to be intoxicated. Mulligan was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Officers came into contact with an individual identified as Kevin Couviller in the area of LA Hwy 182. Couiviller was found to be in possession of a pill identified as sildenafil citrate in which he did not have a prescription. No Driver’s License
An officer in the area of Federal Ave. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, Jerry Forbes was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Forbes did not have a driver’s license. Forbes was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Driving Under Suspension
Brennan Skinner was one of the drivers involved in a vehicle crash in the area of Federal Ave. and Onstead St. Reports indicate that Skinner disregarded the stop sign and crashed into another vehicle. No injuries were reported from the crash. A computer check revealed that Skinner’s license was suspended. Skinner was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

An officer came into contact with an individual on a bicycle with improper lighting on LA Hwy 182. The individual initially gave the officer a false name, but later his identity was confirmed as Joshua Crosby. Crosby was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Crosby was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
