  Abbey Aucoin turned herself in to officers at the Morgan City Police Department and was booked on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in the Sixth Ward Court of Morgan City.  She was booked and incarcerated.

Corey Chapman, 50 years of age, Address-Verdun Ln. Franklin, La. was arrested on 02/19/2015 @ 1:49pm

Charge: Warrant: Theft (Value $1,100.00)


     Corey Chapman, who was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail facility was booked on a warrant charging him with a theft of a pressure washer valued at $1,100.00 on which was reported to the Morgan City Police Department on February 18, 2015.  Chapman was identified by officers with the use of surveillance video recovered from the area.  He was booked and incarcerated.

Donald E. Byrd Jr., 45 years of age, Address-Freret St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/19/2015 @ 10:45pm

Charge: Disturbing the Peace

     Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of Freret St. in regards to a disturbance.  Officers arrived to learn from the complainant that Donald Byrd was inside the residence causing a disturbance.  Byrd refused to comply with officers request to quiet the disturbance and was subsequently arrested.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Roslyn J. Daigle, 49 years of age, Address-Second St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/17/2015 @ 4:28pm

Charge: Misues of 911 Services


     Officers were dispatched to a Second St. address regarding a 911 emergency call.  Officers arrived and encountered Roslyn Daigle who was found in an intoxicated condition.  It was learned that Daigle had utilized the 911 emergency system for a non-emergency complaint and was subsequently arrested.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booekd and incracerated.

     Wade White turned himeself in to the Morgan City Police Department and was charged with an outstanding warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.  He was booked and incarcerated.

     Lucas Loya was located at the Berwick Police Department and placed under arrest on warrants for the Morgan City Police Department dated from 2013 for violating terms of a court imposed protection order.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated.

     Tyler Davidson was located at a Federal Ave. convenience store and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court of Morgan City.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Tiffany M. Lafont, 31 years of age, Address-Arizona St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/12/2015 @ 4:56pm

               Possession of Schedule IV CDS-Alprazolam
               Warrant: St. Mary-Faiure to Appear for Trial-Speeding


     Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department patrolling high crime areas stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Fourth St. and Federal Ave.  Investigators made contact with a passenger in the vehicle, Tiffany Lafont, who upon further investigation was found to possess a Schedule II and Schedule IV CDS in her purse.  The items were recovered and Lafont placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Darryl J. Legarde, 56 years of age, Address-Main St. Houma, La. was arrested on 02/12/2015 @ 8:09pm

Charge: Possession of Marijuana

      Patrolling officers, while conducting a traffic stop for a violation near the intersection of Ninth St. and Duke St. determined that the driver of the vehicle, Palmer Cox IV was operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license.  Officers also detected a strong odor of marijuana eminating from the vehicle and began an investigation.  Officers located suspected marijuana inside the vehicle as well as on the person of Darryl Legarde.  All subjects, who denied knowledge of the illegal substance located inside the vehicle were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Juan Sanchez, 17 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/18/2015 @ 7:13am

Charge: Disturbing the Peace


     Officers dispatched to Teche Regional Hospital in regards to a subject causing a disturbance located a male subject, Juan Sanchez who, according to staff made physical threats against anyone who came into contact with him.  Officers attempted to intervene and speak with Sanchez, however, he continued to cause a disturbance, threatening the responding officers.  Sanchez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Departmetn where he was booked and incarcerated.

Joseph H. Gilchrist Jr, 22 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/18/2015 @ 9:51am

Charge: Theft of Goods (Value $6.47)
     Officers dispatched to a Victor II pharmacy encountered Joseph Gilchrist Jr. who was detained by store employees after attempting to leave the store without paying for an energy drink valued at $6.47.  Gilchrist admitted to officers of the theft and was subsequently arrested.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Christian Garcia, 19 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/18/2015 @ 7:29pm

Charge: Disturbing the Peace

     Officers were dispatched to a Victor II Blvd. address regarding a disturbance.  Officers arrived and located Christian Garcia who according to the complainant, kept returning to the residence, beating on the door causing a disturbance.  Garcia, who refused to comply with the complainants requests to stop was subsequently arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Wesley Davis, 32 years of age, Address-Alexandria, La. was arrested on 02/18/2015 @ 11:26pm

Charge: Possession of Schedule II CDS-Cocaine
               Possession of Marijuana 1st Offense
               Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution

      A patrolling officer was flagged down by a driver of a passing vehicle and advised that the passenger in the vehicle had consumed synthetic marijuana and was acting stangely.  The vehicle was detained and the passenger identified as a female, Wesley Davis.  Davis surrendered synthetic marijuana which she concealed on her person and was subsequently arrested.  Davis was transported to the Morgan City Police Department and found to be in possession of a Schedule II CDS-Cocaine which was concealed on her person.  She was booked and remains incarcerated.

Peter V. Lund, 34 years of age, Address-Chatsworth Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/13/2015 @ 10:15am

Charge: Warrant: Theft 


     Peter Lund turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department and was booked on a warrant charging him with theft of goods from CVS pharmacy in Morgan City on February 08, 2014. Lund was identified with the help of an anonymous tip which assisted investigators in his identification after a surveillance photo was distributed.  Lund was accused of committing the theft of several bottles of alcoholic beverage before being confronted by store personnel. He was booked and incarcerated.

Jonathan P. Conner, 34 years of age, Address-Apple St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/13/2015 @ 9:57pm

     Officers conducting a traffic stop in the area of Apple St. and Garber St. came into contact with a passenger in the vehicle, Jonathan Conner who was found to be wanted on the outstanding warrant.  Upon his arrest, Conner was also found to possess suspected marijuana on his person.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jasmin Guidry, 24 years of age, Address-Tupelo St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/14/2015 @ 12:13am

Charge: Possession of Marijuana 
              Window Obstruction
              No Proof of Motor Vehicle Insurance




     An officer patrolling near Fifth St. and Railroad Ave. observed a vehicle being operated with a large sticker affixed across the front windshield of the vehicle, obstructing the driver's view and stopped to speak with the driver.  As the officer came into contact with the driver, Jasmin Guidry, the officer detected an odor of marijuana.  Guidry admitted to the officer that she had the substance concealed on her person.  it was recovered and Guidry placed under arrest.  Guidry could not, in addition, provide proof of liability insurance and was subsequently charged.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Edwin Maldonado, 23 years of age, Address-Amelia, La. was arrested on 02/14/2015 @ 2:15am

Charge: Careless Operation
               No Drivers License




     Officers were dispatched to the area of Railroad Ave. and Pecos St. in regards to a vehicle crash.  Officers arrived and learned that a vehicle driven by Edwin Maldonado had struck an parked vehicle then veered into a ditch where it came to rest.  Maldonado could not produce a valid drivers license and was subsequently arrested. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Kirk G. Hatcher, 28 years of age, Address-Siegen Lane Baton Rouge, La.was arrested on 02/14/2015 @ 3:07am

     Mr. Hatcher turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked on several outstanding warrants for failing to appear in the City Court of Morgan City on various charges.  He was booked and incarcerated.

     A patrolling officer observed a speeding vehicle traveling on Railroad Ave. and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Charles Felton was found to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license and was subsequently arrested.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and released after posting a cash bond.

Guadalupe Maldonado, 61  years of age, Address-Plum St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 02/14/2015 @ 8:03pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Appear for Revocation-St. Mary
               Improper Turning
               Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle




     A patrolling officer observed a driver make an improper turn in the area of Fifth St. near Railroad Ave. and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Guadalupe Maldonado was found to have an open container of alcoholic beverage in his vehicle.  Maldonado was also found to be wanted on outstanding warrants for St. Mary Parish Sixteenth Judicial District Court and was arrested. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Heather Harvey was located on Highway 182 in Morgan City and placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for Simple Assault based on a February 2015 warrant in which she is accused of threatening another with bodily harm during an altercation.  Harvey was booked and released on a cash bond.
