Gage Ford, 23 years of age, Address-Ditch Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/03/2015 @ 7:53am

Charge: Aggravated Flight from an Officer
              Reckless Operation of a Moving Vehicle
              Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection

     An officer patrolling a marked school zone area near the Morgan City Junior High School observed a motorcyle being operated in the school zone in a reckless manner.  The officer observed the rider illegally passing vehicles and determined that the speed was in excess of 70mph in a marked 15mph school zone.  The officer attempted to detain the motorcycle, however, according to reports, the operator observed the officer and attempted to flee the scene.  The driver proceeded West into Berwick, La., turned back East and was eventually detained in the area of Martin Luther King Blvd. and Highway 90.  The driver was identified as Gage Ford.  Ford was placed under arrest.  His vehicle was also found to display an expired motor vehicle inspection sticker.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department's jail facility where he was booked and incarcerated.  He was later released after posting a cash bond.

     Tracy Silva was located at a Highway 182 residence and placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant for the Sixteenth Judicial District Court.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Gregory Johnson, 54 years of age, Address-Brashear Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/03/2015 @ 11:00am

Charge: Warrant: Simple Battery

     Gregory Johnson turned himself in on an outstanding warrant filed by the Morgan City Police Department accusing Johnson of committing a battery on another person in an incident reported January 24, 2015.  He was booked and incarcerated.

Nyjul Hillebrandt, 18 years of age, Address-Lawrence St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 03/03/2015 @ 1:06pm

Charge: Theft by Shoplifting (Value $7.58)

     A detective with the Morgan City Police Department patrolling in the area of Brashear Ave. observed a subject, Nyjul Hillebrandt acting in a suspicous manner in the parking lot of a Brashear Ave. retail store.  The subject was observed dropping several items underneath a vehicle after he was approached by store personnel.  The detective detained Mr. Hillebrandt and learned from store employees that he was suspected of taking items from the store without paying.  The item, a hair product was recovered and determined to be valued at $7.58.  The item was returned to store personnel and the subject, Hillebrandt placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Morgan City Police Detectives conducted a search warrant at a S. Railroad Ave. residence after an investigation was begun into the sales of illegal narcotics from the residence.  Investigators, with the assistance of Patterson Police Department and St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department secured the residence and located Travis Hayes.  During the investigation, suspected marijuana and synthetic marijuana was recovered from the residence.  Evidence was obtained which contained monies and statements of suspects which indicated that Hayes was involved in the sales of illegal narcotics from the residence.  The residence was located within 1000 feet of a designated "Drug Free" zone, therefore Hayes was additionally charged.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.  He remains incarcerated with a hold for Probation and Parole authorities.

     Detective with the Morgan City Police Department began in investigation into illegal narcotics activity at a Roderick St. residence after receiving a complaint.  Officers arrived in the area and during the investigation, identified Shawn Clements and a female, Christa Naquin.  During the investigation, Both were found in the accompany of a small child as well as suspected marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia.  Investigators with the assistance of the Morgan City Police Department's Narcotics Canine and the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Deaprtment secured a search warrant for the residence and located addiitional items of CDS including Hydrocodone, Alprazolam, Promenthazine w/Codeine  and a legend drug Cyclobenzaprine.  Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle make an improper turn in the area of Sixth St. and Florence St. and stopped the vehicle to speak with the driver.  The driver, Jose Ramirez was discovered to be operating a vehicle without a drivers license.  Ramirez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle fail to properly signal a turn in the area of Sixth St. and Kentucky St. and stopped the vehicle to speak with the driver.  The driver, Marquita Green was discovered to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license and was subsquently placed under arrest.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and released after posting a cash bond.

     Officers were dispatched to a Marguerite St. pharmacy in regards to a subject causing a disturbance.  Officers arrived and were directed to the subject, Kenneth Kiff Jr. who, according to witnesses appeared intoxicated and was observed stumbling into items in the store knocking them from the shelf.  Officers attempted to obtain transportation for Kiff from the area, however, he was uncooperative and was subsequently arrested.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Demarcus Holly, who was already incarcerated in the Morgan City jail facility was booked on an outstanding warrant for the Sixth Ward Court of Morgan City.  He was booked and remains incarcerated.

Nicole M. Fisher, 43 years of age, Address-Patterson, La. was arrested on 02/28/2015 @ 2:30pm

     Officers were dispatched to a Brashear Ave. pharmacy in regards to a shoplifter.  Officers arrived and learned from witnesses that they suspected a customer, identified as Nicole Fisher of removing several items from packaging and removing the items from the store.  Officers, during their investigation learned that Fisher had removed several items from packaging, removing the items from the store and placing the items into a vehicle in the parking lot before returning to the store.  Officers recovered several items of makeup products valued at $53.99 and placed Fisher under arrest.  Fisher was also discovered to be wanted on outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court of Morgan City and was additionally charged.  She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and remains incarcerated.

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle in the area of Aucoin St. with improper lighting and stopped the vehicle to speak with the driver who was identified as Natasha Garner.  The officer, during the stop located several pills of Hydrocodone, a controlled dangerous substance.  Garner, who could not provide a valid prescription for the substance was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.

Kurt P. Melancon, 45 years of age, Address-Gibson, La. was arrested on 02/28/2015 @ 8:47pm

Charge: Appearing in Public Intoxicated

     Officers were dispatched to the area of Victor II Blvd. in regards to an intoxicated subject. Officers arrived and located Kurt Melancon in the area and found him to be impaired.  Officers secured transportation for Melancon who then left the area and was advised he could not be in public in an intoxicated condition.  A short time later, Melancon was observed walking again in the area of the Morgan City Police Department and was placed under arrest.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department's jail facility where he was booked and incarcerated.

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle speeding in the area of Everette St. and Fifth St. and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  The driver, Salvador Knight was discovered to be operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license.  He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. He was released after posting a cash bond.

     Officers dispatched to an Allison St. location in regards to a subject sleeping near a bench located Douglas Waldrop in an impaired condition.  Waldrop was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

               Resisting an Officer

     Officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 2300 block of Federal Ave.  While investigating the complaint, David Brown a suspect in the disturbance was advised to leave the area and return home.  Brown refused to comply and began to cause a disturbance.  Officers attempted to place Brown under arrest at which time he began to pull away from officers.  The subject was eventually subdued and arrested.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery

     Officers responded to a Louisa St. residence for a domestic disturbance.  Officers arrived and learned from the witness and female victim that Jairo Molina Jr. and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation that led to Molina grabbing the victim and tossing her about the room.  Molina, who acknowledged the encounter was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Morgan City Police Detectives, acting on an anonymous complaint of suspected drug activity,  responded to a residence in the 2600 block of Sixth St.  While there they located the occupants inside the residence.  During the investigation, officers located a w/f, Destiny Dinger hiding in the closet of the residence.  Dinger was wanted on outstanding warrants for varous agencies and was placed under arrest.  Investigators also located a celophane bag of suspected marjiuana which was seized.  A resident, Gage Ford admitted to possession of the substance and was subsequently placed under arrest.  Both were transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

     Patrolling officers observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner near Brashear Ave. and Seventh St. and stopped the vehicle to investigate.  During the stop, officers detected an odor of marijuana inside the vehicle.  During the investigation, officers recovered a celophane bag containing suspected marijuana in the rear of the vehicle  with the rear passenger, Jovon Johnson.  Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a Maine St. residence. Investigating officers learned from a female victim that Cregory Johnson was accused of committing a battery on the female victim. During the investigation, Cregory Johnson had to be physically restrained. Cregory Johnson and a female, Shanice Marshall continued to cause a disturbance. They were both arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where booked and incarcerated.

Jarod Hope, 25 years of age, Address- Louisa St. Morgan City, La. was arrested 02/26/2015 @ 9:09 am

Charge: Warrant-Hit & Run
     Jarod Hope was located at a Louisa St. residence and placed under arrest on a warrant for the Morgan City Police Department which was as a result of a police investigation involving a vehicle crash on February 12, 2015. Hope is accused of striking another vehicle with his vehicle near Marshall St. and Federal Ave. He was identified as the suspect leaving the scene and a warrant obtained. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department and was booked and incarcerated.

     Anthony Charles was located at a Bowman St. residence and placed under arrest on outstanding warrant for Terrebone Parish authorities.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle in the Mount St. area being driven by Artis Jones who was known by officers as not having a valid drivers license.  Officers stopped the vehicle and detained Jones who could not produce a valid drivers license.  Jones, who had been charged with the same violation on multiple occasions was arrested.  During the arrest, Jones began to resist officers attempts to place him in handcuffs and had to be physically subdued.  Jones was also accused of yelling profanities, creating a disturbance which alarmed others in the area.  Jones was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     An officer patrolling a school zone area near Federal Ave. observed a speeding vehicle traveling through a marked school zone which was determined to be traveling 27mph in a 15mph zone.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Travis Lamar.  The officer reportedly detected a strong odor of marijuana inside the vehicle and located several small cigarettes of the substance inside the vehicle.  Lamar was also found to be wanted on several outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court of Morgan City and was subsequently arrested.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Kenneth J. Alfred, 41 years of age, Address-Hilda St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/20/2015 @ 3:41pm

               Possession of Schedule II CDS-Hydrocodone
     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being operated by Kenneth Alfred in the area of Brashear Ave..  The officer was aware and eventually confirmed that Kenneth Alfred was operating a vehicle with a supsended drivers license.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver, Alfred was detained and arrested.  Upon his arrest, Kenneth Alfred was found to possess several pills of Hydrocodone, a Schedule II controlled substance on his person.  Alfred confirmed he did not possess a valid prescription.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     A patrolling officer observed a vehicle make an improper turn and stopped the vehicle to speak with the driver.  The driver, Clifton Williams was identified and during the stop, was found to possess a small amount of suspected marijuana as well as items of drug paraphernalia.  Williams was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Jamal Weeden was located at Teche Regional Hospital and placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant issued by the Patterson Police Department which was dated September 2014.  Weeden was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

     Officers were dispatched to a Highway 182 motel in regards to a female exposing herself in the parking lot of the motel.  Officers arrived and learned that a female, identified as Deidre Lewis  had exposed her breasts while in the parking lot. Officers located the female Lewis who admitted to the act.  During the investigation,  a search of a motel room belonging to Lewis and occupied by a male subject, Phillip Jordan resulted in the recovery of suspected marijuana.  Both Lewis, who was impaired and the male subject, Phillip Jordan were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Deqwavia J. Hall, 28 years of age, Address-Highway 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/21/2015 @ 3:00pm

Charge: Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
               Disturbing the Peace

     Officers responded to a complaint of a domestic dispute at a Highway 182 motel.  Officers arrived and learned that the subjects involved had left the scene.  Upon further investigation, it was learned that a female subject, according to witnesses had attacked a male subject in the parking lot during the disturbance.  The male subject involved was located at the Morgan City Police Department after he attempted to report the attack.  Investigators learned that the male victim was attacked by Deqwavia Hall at the motel.  Hall was accused of arming herself with a box cutter during the attack and cutting the victim on the arm causing minor injuries.  The victim refused medical treatment and opted to obtain treatment himself.  The suspect, Deqwavia Hall later came to the Morgan City Police Department where she provided a statement which cooberated the witnesses accounts.  She was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail facility where she remains incarcerated with a bond of $6,000.00.

               Resisting an Officer
     Officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a Brashear Ave. location.  Officers arrived and learned from management that a subject, Kristin Sanders became involved in a verbal dispute with an employee and refused to leave the premises when asked by store personnel.  Officers located Sanders still at the location.  While attempting to settle the dispute, Sanders continued her actions.  Store personnel advised that they asked Sanders several times to leave, however she refused their requests.  As officers advised Sanders that she was being placed under arrest for remaing on the premises, she reportedly began to struggle, reaching into her shirt.  Officers had to physically secure the object clutched in Sanders hand  where she was eventually handcuffed. Officers recovered money from her clutched hand.   Sanders eventually followed officers requests to calm and was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.  She was released after posting a cash bond of $1,126.00.

Vincent Thomas, 20 years of age, Address-Mount St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/21/2015 @ 5:36pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fines-Drug Paraphernalia (2 Counts)
                              Failure to Pay Probation Fee
                              Failure to Pay Fine-Possession of Stolen Things
                              Failure to Pay Fine-Contempt of Court
                              Failure to Pay Fine-Synthetic Cannibinoids
                              Failure to Pay Fine-Resisting an Officer
                              Possession of Schedule I CDS-Marijuana 2nd Offense
     Officers were summoned to a Brashear Ave. motel room regarding suspicious activity in a motel room. Officers arrived and located three subjects inside a room as Damarcus Mcneal, Daniel Colbert, and Vincent Thomas.  Officers began an investigation and during a subsquent search of the room located suspected marijuana along with items of drug paraphernalia.  Damarcus Mcneal admitted possession of the substance.  Vincent Thomas was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and was also placed under arrest.  Vincent Thomas and Daniel Colbert were found to be wanted on outstanding warrants.  All three subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and incarcerated.

Jacob N. Klenert, 18 years of age, Address-Teche Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/22/2015 @ 5:25pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fines-Possession of Marijuana
               Warrant: Contempt of Court

     Jacob Klenert was located near the intersection of Eleventh St. and Railroad Ave. and placed under arrest on outstanding warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court of Morgan City.  He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated.

Darren T. Hemphill, 45 years of age, Address-Morgan City, La. was arrested on 02/22/2015 @ 9:34pm

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
