Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Patrol officers responded to the area of Sixth St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and Renea K. Wilson was identified as one of the parties involved. According to reports, Wilson was allegedly found to be in an intoxicated state. Wilson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Edward J. Breaux, 36 years of age, address: Katie Ct. Bayou Loures, La., arrested on 03/22/2018 @ 1:01 p.m.

                 Failure to Yield

Patrol officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a crash. Officers arrived and Edward J. Breaux was identified as an operator of one of the vehicles. According to reports, evidence was uncovered placing Breaux at fault for the crash. Breaux’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Breaux was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to the area of MLK Blvd in regards to a vehicle suspected of being operated in an erratic manner. A description of the vehicle was obtained and when officers arrived the suspected vehicle was located in the area. A stop was initiated and Jeremy McCollough was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, McCollough was found to be in an intoxicated state. Narcotics is suspected to be the cause of the impairment. McCollough was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he submitted to resulting in .000g% blood alcohol content. McCollough submitted to blood analysis which is pending. McCollough was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to the area of Railroad Ave. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and Kahnie Gaudet was identified as one of the parties involved. According to reports, Gaudet was found to have a protective order in effect prohibiting her from being at the residence. Gaudet was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers located a vehicle in the area of LA 182 with a flat tire. Officers made contact with the operator of the vehicle who was sleeping behind the wheel. Robert C. Henson was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Henson was found to be in an intoxicated state. Henson refused Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Henson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he also refused. Henson was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Sidney L. Wainwright, 21 years of age, address: New Horizons New Iberia, La., arrested on 03/21/2018 @ 10:00 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Possession of Marijuana W/I/T/D

Sidney L. Wainwright was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on March 15, 2018, when officers were assisting Patterson Police Department with an investigation that led to the Morgan City Area. According to reports, the investigation led to a residence in the area of Sacred Heart Drive when Sidney L. Wainwright along with several other people were identified. Wainwright was allegedly found to be in possession of a large amount of suspected Marijuana. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Wainwright’s arrest. Wainwright was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated. The investigation is still ongoing.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of MLK Blvd in an erratic manner. A stop was initiated and Demetrius J. Green was identified as the operator of the vehicle and Cortez Francois was identified as an occupant. According to reports, Francois was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana, Promethazine w/Codeine, and Drug Paraphernalia. Green was found to hold several active arrest warrants through the 6^th Ward Morgan City and 16^th Judicial Courts. Green and Cortez were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Tina D. Stelly, 48 years of age, address: Landry Ln. Bayou Loure’s, La., arrested on 03/16/2018 @ 12:10 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 02/27/2018 (2 counts)
                 Warrant: Theft $5,000 to $25,000

Tina D. Stelly was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court and Morgan City Police. The warrants from the Morgan City Police stem from an investigation conducted by detectives on December 20, 2017, when Stelly allegedly took items valued at over $6,000 from the victim. The investigation continued and evidence was uncovered linking Stelly to the crime. Warrants were prepared for Stelly’s arrest. Stelly was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle at a local business in the area of LA 182 that had a strong odor of marijuana emitting from it. A stop was initiated and Zamir X. Byrd was identified as an occupant. According to reports, Byrd was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Byrd was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for booking. While in transport Byrd allegedly attempted to discard items in the rear of the police unit to avoid detection. The officer located suspected Hydrocodone that Byrd was attempted to discard of. Byrd was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Loupe was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Loupe’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Loupe was also found to be in possession of suspected Hydrocodone. Loupe was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of US 90 in an erratic manner swerving from lane to lane on the roadway. A stop was initiated and Michael J. Voisan was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Voisan was found to be in an intoxicated state. Voisan performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Voisan was also found to be in possession of open alcoholic beverages in the motor vehicle. Voisan was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemial Testing which he submitted to registering .167g% blood alcohol content. Voisan was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of MLK Blvd in an erratic manner swerving from lane to lane. A stop was initiated and Brian R. Hopp was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Hopp was found to be in an intoxicated state. Hopp performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Hopp was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing. During the process, Hopp allegedly became aggressive with officers striking an officer. Hopp was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Johnathon Priestley, 24 years of age, address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 03/18/2018 @ 2:33 p.m.

Charges: Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility

Correctional Officers with the Morgan City Jail were escorting trustees during their daily duties. While doing so a correctional officer observed Johnathon Priestely retrieved a can of tobacco in the area and conceal it in his uniform. Once in the jail the tobacco was retrieved. Priestley was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Correctional Officers responded to the cell block of the Morgan City Jail in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and Micah Soileau was identified as the subject involved. According to reports, Soileau was being escorted to a holding cell when he damaged property belonging to the Morgan City Jail. Soileau was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle negotiate an improper turn in the area of Brashear Ave. A stop was initiated and Milton Enriquez was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Enriquez was found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. Enriquez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers encountered a vehicle in the area of LA 70 where Jane G. Landry was identified as the operator. According to reports, Landry displayed signs of nervousness. The Morgan City Police Department K-9 Division was utilized in the investigation when K-9 Lady alerted to the presence of narcotic odor in the vehicle. Landry was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Landry was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

According to reports, Madise was found to be in an intoxicated state. Madise performed poorly on standardized field sobriety test. Madise Lousiana Driver's License was found to be under suspension. Madise was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which she submitted to registering .156g% blood alcohol content. Madise was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Correction Officers with the Morgan City Jail detected smoke coming from one of the cells on the cell block. The smoke was located in a cell that was occupied by Jacob Klenert. Klenert was found to be in possession of a razor blade. Klenert also damaged property that was issued to him during his stay that belonged to the Morgan City Police Department. Klenert was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrol officers detected an odor of marijuana in the area of Third St. An investigation was conducted to discover the source of the odor when officers located Harley M. Campo, Brennan Moore, and Trent H. Duhon outside in the area. According to reports,  Campo and Moore were found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. Duhon was found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court. A fourth subject was located in the area and identified as Mark L. Murphree. Murphree was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Campo, Moore, Duhon, and Murphree was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Kaveshia O. Johnson, 20 years of age, address: Vieux Orleans Lafayette, La., arrested on 03/19/2018 @ 8:55 a.m.

Patrol officers encountered a vehicle in the area of Seventh St. acting in a suspicious manner. A stop was initiated and Kaveshia O. Johnson was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Johnson was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. She was also observed by officers ingesting marijuana to avoid its detection. Johnson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Stephens was identified. Stephens was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. The area where the incident had taken place is within a Drug-Free Zone. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Stephens’ arrest. Stephens was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Courville’s suspension was confirmed when a stop was initiated. Courville was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division with assistance from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Roderick St. Somoa K. Scott Jr. and Racquel D. Barber along with a juvenile were identified. Scott and Barber were found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Scott was also found to be in possession of various items of Drug Paraphernalia. Evidence was uncovered that the suspected marijuana belonging to Scott was destined to be sold in illicit sales. U.S. Currency was located that is believed to be derived from the sales of illegal narcotics. A pit bull was located in the residence which is prohibited within the City of Morgan City. The area where the incident had taken place is within a Drug-Free Zone. Scott and Barber were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
