MCPD Arrest Report 10/04/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 38 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 10/03/2018:

Tyler M. Porche, 32 years of age, Address- General Hodges St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/03/2018 @ 9:28 am.

Charge: Speeding
               Driving Under Suspension
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
               Warrant-Failure to Pay Probation Fees

   An officer in the area of Marguerite St. observed a vehicle going faster than the posted speed while in a school zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Tyler Porche was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Porche’s driver’s license was suspended and that he held an active warrant for the 6th Ward City Court. The officer also found drug paraphernalia in Porche’s possession. Porche was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jerry R. Forbes, 18 years of age, Address-Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/03/2018 @ 10:36 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear Seat Belt Violation
               Warrant-Failure to Appear No Driver’s License

   Jerry Forbes was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Forbes was booked and incarcerated.

Artha Williams, 66 years of age, Address-Saturn Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/03/2018 @ 11:42 am.

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
               Red Light Violation
               Driving Under Suspension

      An officer on Brashear Ave. observed a vehicle fail to stop at a red light traffic signal. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Artha Williams was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed the status of Williams’ driver’s license was suspended. Reports indicate that Williams appeared intoxicated. Williams was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, but he refused. Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Williams submitted to the chemical test for intoxication. Williams’ results yielded a .221g% blood alcohol content. Williams was booked and incarcerated.

Joseph J. Jessie, 39 years of age, Address- Utah St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 10/03/2018 @ 11:32 am.   

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Probation Fees
               Warrant-Failure to Appear for Arraignment

   Joseph Jessie was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Jessie was booked and incarcerated.

Charlene M. Davis, 34 years of age, Address- Lafayette, La. was arrested on 10/03/2018 @ 2:31 pm.

Charge: General Speed Law
               Driving Under Suspension

   An officer on Greenwood St. observed a vehicle going faster than the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Charlene Davis was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Davis’ driver’s license was under suspension. Davis was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Tiffany L. Romero, 38 years of age, Address-Camille Dr. Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/03/2018 @ 12:43 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear

   Tiffany Romero was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant she held for the 16th Judicial District Court. Romero was booked and incarcerated.

Jonathan G. Evans Jr, 25 years of age, Address-Tiffany St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 10/03/2018 @ 3:47 pm.

Charge: Improper Lane Usage
               Possession of Marijuana
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
               Disturbing the Peace Offensive Language
               Resisting an Officer
               Violation of Uniform CDS-Drug Free Zone

      A patrol officer in the area of Wren St. observed a vehicle cross the center line. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Jonathan Evans was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. During the course of the investigation, suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia was located inside Evans’ vehicle. While trying to place Evans under arrest, he began to yell and use profanities. He also began to resist officers but was subdued. Evans was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.  

Jesus Diaz, 28 years of age, Address-Lenny Lane Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/03/2018 @ 11:50 pm.

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
               Improper Lane Usage

   An officer on LA Hwy 182 observed a vehicle cross the center line. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Jesus Diaz was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that Diaz appeared intoxicated. Diaz was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, in which he performed poorly. Diaz was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Diaz submitted to the chemical test for intoxication. Diaz’s results yielded a .136g% blood alcohol content. Diaz was booked and incarcerated.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 46 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 10/02/2018:

Gerardo Santiago-Garcia, 37 years of age, Address-Duke St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/02/2018 @ 1:45 pm.

Charge: Self-Mutilation by a Prisoner (2cts)

   Gerardo Santiago-Garcia, who was already incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail was found with lacerations on his forearm. It was determined that Santiago-Garcia had found an object to cause self-inflicting wounds. Santiago-Garcia was transported to a medical facility and treated for his injury. Santiago-Garcia was transported back to the Morgan City Jail and continues to be incarcerated.

 Neysa Sauce, 50 years of age, Address- Helen Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/02/2018 @ 5:46 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Theft by Shoplifting

    Neysa Sauce was located on Helen Dr. and placed under arrest for an active warrant she held for the Patterson Police Department. Sauce was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Doresa M. Bland, 28 years of age, Address-LA Hwy 182 Berwick, La. was arrested on 10/02/2018 @ 9:20 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear (3cts)

   Doresa Bland was located in the area of Sixth and Fig St. and placed under arrest for active warrants she held for the 16th Judicial District Court. Bland was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 43 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 10/01/2018:

Cherie Aucoin, 46 years of age, Address- McDermott Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/01/2018 @ 12:23 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Theft under $1000

   Cherie Aucoin was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant she held for the department. The warrant stems from an incident on September 12 that alleges Aucoin had committed a theft at a local business on LA Hwy 182. Aucoin was booked and incarcerated.

Samuel Skipper, 68 years of age, Address- Houma, La. was arrested on 10/01/2018 @ 3:57 pm.

Charge: No Tail Lamps
               Possession of Marijuana
               Driving Under Suspension

Gerron D. Skipper, 30 years of age, Address- Dora St. Morgan City, La was arrested on 10/01/2018 @ 3:57 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Simple Battery

   An officer in the area of Fourth St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Samuel Skipper was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Samuel’s driver’s license was suspended. Samuel also had suspected marijuana in his possession. The passenger in the vehicle, Gerron Skipper held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in August that alleges Gerron committed a battery on an individual. Both Samuel and Gerron were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Corey D. Givens, 17 years of age, Address- Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/01/2018 @ 5:09 pm.

Charge: Hit and Run
               Stop Sign Violation
               No Driver’s License

   Corey Givens was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for his involvement in a vehicle crash that had occurred on Youngs Rd. earlier that day.  Reports indicate that Givens admitted to driving the vehicle and leaving the scene after the vehicle accident. Givens was booked and incarcerated.

Ty Q. Thai, 47 years of age, Address- Vivian St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/01/2018 @ 6:24 pm.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Offensive Language

   Officers responded to a local medical facility on LA Hwy 70 in regards to a disturbance. Officer arrived and made contact with Ty Thai. Reports indicate that Thai appeared intoxicated and he was yelling profanities. Thai was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Curtis Ray 10012018

Curtis Ray, 29 years of age, Address- Robin St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/01/2018 @ 8:02 pm.

Charge: Resisting an Officer
              Obstruction of Justice-Tampering with Evidence
              Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling
              False Imprisonment
              Simple Battery
              Possession of Marijuana
              Criminal Trespass

   Officers responded to a local business on Fifth St. in regards to a battery that had been committed on an individual. Officers arrived and a description of the suspect was given to officers. Officers observed the suspect running through several yards. According to reports, an owner of a residence on Duke St. approached officers stating someone ran into her home and tried to prevent her from leaving. Officers located the suspect identified as Curtis Ray on Duke St. and placed him under arrest. Ray was also in possession of suspected marijuana. Ray was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
